We are very excited to announce the EFW Mini Electronic Filter Wheel from ZWO.
Compacts and lightweight. The EFW Mini is also low profile.
The carousel holds 5 filters and you have the choice of either 1.25" mounted or 31mm unmounted filters.
Smart electronics allows the filter wheel to rotate in both directions making filter change fast and precise.
Only one USB cable is enough to power up the EFW with a maximum power consumption of only around 150ma@5V
Even better you can power it from the USB2.0 hub of ZWO's latest cooled cameras.
The distance between the filters and sensor is around 10mm when you connect the ASI1600 to this EFW. This means no vignetting with 1.25″ filters down to f/5. With 31mm unmounted filters vignetting won't be a problem as fast as f/2.
To coincide with the release of the EFW Mini we also have the brand new RGBL filters. The bandpass of these new filters is optimized for the ASI1600 sensor and will produce a near-perfect 1:1:1 RGB colour balance

1.25″ filter requirement: threads length shorter than 3mm, height without threads less than 7mm
31mm filter: the M2 screws and washers needed to install the filters are included in the package

Use and operation?
You just need to plugin the EFW mini with USB2.0 cable and install the ASCOM Driver from the ZWO website.
There are ZWO Filter Wheel(1) and ZWO Filter Wheel(2) to select, you can use either one of them.
There are 2 ASCOMs for controlling 2 EFWmini in one software.
