Returns, Exchanges, and Refund Policy

At The Binocular and Telescope Shop, we aim to ensure you're satisfied with your purchase. By completing a payment with us, you accept the following terms regarding shipping and returns.

Please note, refunds are only available for items deemed faulty. In all other cases, store credit or an exchange will be provided.

Steps for Returning a Product:

  1. Review our Returns Policy below to confirm eligibility.

  2. Contact us prior to completing the form
  3. Complete the return form which we will send to you.

  4. You are responsible for return postage. Retain your tracking information for reference.

  5. Send your return within 14 days to:

  6. Upon receiving your return, we will issue store credit via email. This credit can be used on any item on our website.

Returns Policy:

You are eligible for store credit if:

  • Items are returned within 14 days of receipt and received within 30 days.
  • The product and packaging are unopened and in new condition.
  • All original manuals, tags, and packaging are intact.
  • Items discounted by 25% or more are not eligible for return.

No Refunds for Change of Mind

Returns for change of mind will only receive store credit, minus shipping and a 20% restocking fee. We do not cancel orders once shipped or lodged with the carrier.

Use a trackable service for returns and consider insurance for items valued over $100. We are not responsible for lost parcels.

Processing Time:

Returns may take up to 14 days to process once received. If the return form is incomplete, processing may exceed this period. You will be notified via email once your return is processed.

Store Credit:

  • Store credit can only be used at www.bintel.com.au.
  • It cannot be transferred to another person or account.
  • If your purchase exceeds the credit value, you can pay the remaining balance at checkout.

Faulty Products:

  • Return shipping for faulty products is at the customer’s expense, but will be reimbursed once the item is confirmed faulty.
  • For large items (over 1100mm or 22kg), we can assist with returns at your expense.
  • If the product has a major fault (as defined by the ACCC), you may choose between a refund or replacement.
  • For minor faults, we will first attempt a repair, which may take 2-4 weeks, or up to 8 weeks if the item needs to be sent to the manufacturer.
