The Sky-Watcher HEQ5-R PRO brings serious design improvements to one of the world’s most popular equatorial mounts. Built for serious observers and astrophotographers, the HEQ5-R PRO combines superior mechanics, smart connectivity, and smooth, quiet tracking to deliver an exceptional observing and imaging experience.

A new belt-driven system ensures ultra-smooth slewing and significantly reduced backlash, improving guiding accuracy for long-exposure astrophotography. The upgraded worm wheels—with 160 teeth on the RA axis and 144 on DEC—enhance tracking precision and allow for a higher payload.

The mount also introduces a built-in USB hub and external power ports, simplifying cable management and providing direct connections for cameras, guide scopes, and accessories.
