The Lunt LS50FHa Front Mount 60mm Double Stack represents a significant upgrade for LS60 users seeking enhanced solar observation capabilities. This precision optical system delivers exceptional H-alpha contrast and detail, revealing intricate chromospheric features with remarkable clarity. The double stack configuration dramatically reduces bandwidth, enabling observation of fine prominences, filaments, and surface details that single-stack systems simply cannot resolve. Built to Lunt's exacting standards, this front-mounted design integrates seamlessly with your existing LS60 setup, providing professional-grade performance for serious solar astronomers and experienced observers.

Because the LS60FHa H-Alpha Filter has an estimated bandpass of <0.70 Angstrom, it is capable of providing high contrast views of both surface and edge detail. Adding an additional etalon system (double-stacking) will reduce the bandpass to ~<0.50 (dependent upon scope) allowing for higher resolution viewing and/or imaging. An LS60FHa H-Alpha Filter without blocking filter is offered for this purpose or for those who already have a Lunt blocking filter. A Lunt blocking filter must be used with Lunt Ha filters at all times.
