Kenko Star Cluster Glasses
Spectral control reduces selected artificial light, while 83% visible light transmittance and ES lenses support clear, wide-field stargazing.
Spectral control
A unique dye in the lenses reduces light from sources including LEDs and high-pressure sodium lamps, helping the night sky appear less orange and more natural.
Multi-coated lenses
Kenko combines its spectral design with multi-coated lenses and approximately 83% visible light transmittance.
Over-glass frame
The frame is designed to sit over prescription eyewear. Fit depends on the shape of your existing frames, so not every pair will be suitable.
Lightweight design
The TR-90 frame keeps the glasses light at approximately 33 g for meteor showers and broad sky sweeps.
Targeted spectral response
Kenko's official transmission graph shows an approximate 10% reduction around blue light and an approximate 25% reduction around yellow and orange light. The aim is a less orange-tinted sky with stars easier to distinguish.
Itoh Optical Industrial ES lenses
The Extended Depth of Field Design keeps a broader range of distances in focus. That reduces the need for constant, precise refocusing during wide-field stargazing and meteor-shower observation.
The ES lens design supports observing across a broad field without continual fine refocusing.
The over-glass frame can sit over prescription eyewear, but compatibility depends on the shape and size of your existing frames.
