See the whole picture with Ultima Edge. These flat-field eyepieces were designed to provide an ultra-sharp, ultra-clear, crisp image from the center all the way to the edge of the field of view. The 18mm Ultima Edge eyepiece features fully multi-coated optics and an 8- element lens design, maximizing light transmission.
The Ultima Edge 18mm has a generous 65° field of view perfect for viewing planets, stars and the Moon’s surface. This eyepiece provides higher-powered magnification, perfect for those times when you want to get up close to smaller objects.
Body
The 18mm Ultima Edge eyepiece’s main housing is machined from high grade aluminum with a black anodized outer surface.
Its 1.25" mounting barrel is internally threaded to accept standard 1.25" filters and adapters. It is compatible with 1.25” star diagonals and focusers. On the exterior of the eyepiece, you will find a uniquely designed, molded rubber grip ring for non-slip handling during observing sessions.
Viewing through the 18mm Ultima Edge eyepiece is comfortable for both eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers alike, thanks to the rubber eyecups and long eye relief of 20mm.

Produce a larger area of illumination for your 9.25”, 11” or 14” Schmidt-Cassegrain or EdgeHD telescope by using the this adapter. When this adapter is paired with our Off-Axis Guider, these two imaging accessories allow you to use the full image circle in our larger scopes. This configuration is especially helpful to owners of larger format cameras, such as the Canon 5D or 6D, since their full frame can take advantage of the more substantial area of illumination produced by larger optical tubes.
What’s New!
The Large SCT & EdgeHD Adapter V2 for Off-Axis Guider has a longer optical length—38mm. The adapter’s longer length provides DSLR cameras back-focus spacing for Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD optical tubes in conjunction with the Off-Axis Guider without the need for extra adapters or spacers.
Body
The Large SCT & EdgeHD Adapter V2 for Off-Axis Guider is machined aluminum black anodized. The internal surfaces are sandblasted to help prevent glare and provide the highest contrast. The adapter has a knurled surface providing a great gripping surface for threading and unthreading.

The Lumicon 1.25" Comet Filter, a narrow band-pass filter (25 nm), isolates the 501 nm OIII line and both C2 lines at 511 nm and 514 nm. The high contrast of the filter reveals the delicate ionized tail of gaseous comets, allowing you to see their full extent. The Comet Filter also helps you to better distinguish gaseous comets from dusty comets, which normally show little contrast gain.

The transmission properties of the L-RGB Filterset 1.25in Type 2c filters are optimized for CCD astrophotography. The set allows taking images in correct colours for all types of objects. Where other brands make strange compromises, we do the best colour reproduction possible. Both stars as well as objects that emit only in spectral lines, are reproduced in their true colors. You get CCD images with perfect colours, as if the objects where bright enough to be seen with photopic vision. This feature is the main difference between Astronomik filters an those of other manufacturers.
The following aspects have been most important for the design of our filters:
- simple image processing for the user
- highest transmission (nearly 100%) for short exposure times
- adjusted transmissions of the individual filters for optimal colour reproduction
- the use of industry standards
Astronomik doesn't stop thinking at the step of taking the picture. More important a tool should be given to the astrophotographers that offers a simple and elegant editing process. To maintain the colour, we calculated our filterset for the sRGB color space, that is used as an industry standard from most manufacturers of monitors, printers and imaging software. As a user, you do not need to spend time learning about colourimetry and colour spaces. We have solved the special problems of astrophotography for you.
Due to the high-precision machining of the carrier substrate, our filters are parfocal with wedge errors below all usual margins. In order not to be the bottleneck in a high-quality optical system Astronomik filters are of course diffraction limited. Issues concerning focal distances as well as the exact location of the images of each colour image are not a problem at all!
Main use
The L-RGB filter set divides the spectrum into its components red, green, blue and luminance. Thus colour separation can be achieved with pure b/w CCD sensors. The separation corresponds to the colour sensitivity of the human eye according to DIN 5032. By using the sRGB color space it is possible to maintain the color of the image throughout the entire image processing and output. With an Astronomik L-RGB filter set and your camera you create ideal raw material for image processing in the sRGB color space.

These new models of RC secondary mirror dew heaters from Kendrick address the ever-changing secondary mirror designs found on RC style telescopes made over the last decade. Easy to install and no need to disassemble the mirror assembly.
Heater sizes are based on the diameter of the secondary mirror shroud. To determine the correct size, simply measure the outside diameter of the mirror shroud and find the model that comes closest to the measurement you made.
Tech Specs:
Our most recent research found that primary mirror size tends to have secondary mirror sizes as shown below, but you should still take your own measurement to be certain.
To make heater installation easier, the heater wire leads have been divided into two segments. Each segment has small quick connectors installed onto them. The wire leads out of the heater are 6” (150mm) long. Once the heater is properly secured to the mirror shroud the second wire segment in connected to leads coming from the heater. This is a 12" (350mm) extension which is routed across one of the spider vanes. This extension wire terminates in a female RCA plug, which then connects to a 2.5' (750mm) Kendrick Cold-Flex extension cable (included) that then connects to your Dew Controller. The total length of all wires/entension is 4' (1,220mm).

Ideal addition to the Astronomik ProPlanet IR 742 for imaging the moon and planets, with telescopes larger then 10" (250mm) when the seeing is poor.
This filter is an ideal complement to the ProPlanet IR 742 for use with converted DSLR cameras, CCD cameras and Webcams. The effects of seeing are distinctly reduced. It is your entry into previously unknown dimensions of photography of the moon and the planets.
The ProPlanet IR 807 only allows infrared light with wavelengths of more than 807 nm to pass. In this wavelength range the effects of seeing are significantly lower than in the visible spectrum of the human eye. This allows much sharper images than are usually obtained from your device and location. Another advantage is that the sky background of advanced dawn is dark and even allows photography of planets and moon at daylight.
Main use
The Astronomik ProPlanet IR 807 cuts off the visible part of the spectrum and allows the light of wavelengths longer then 807nm to pass. Due to this behavior the part of the spectrum that is most sensitive to bad seeing is rejected. This approach does a big improvement to the imaging of planets and the moon. The image is more steady than the image in the visible light.
Other uses
- The Astronomik ProPlanet IR 807 is designed to be an addition to the Astronomik ProPlanet IR 742, if the seeing is extremely bad and a larger telescope is used.
- For most cameras the exposure times doubles, compared to the Astronomik ProPlanet IR 742 or imaging in visible light, if the Astronomik ProPlanet IR 807 is used.
- Darkens the background during twilight.
- Imaging of bright planets, stars and comets by day.
- Imaging of young stars in dust clouds and stellar nurseries.
Alternatives
If the seeing is not so bad or if the telescope is smaller than 10" (250mm) we recommend the use of the Astronomik ProPlanet IR 742.
Suitability
- Visual observation (dark skies): Unsuitable, the eye is insensitive at this spectrum
- Visual observation (urban skies): Unsuitable, the eye is insensitive at this spectrum
- Film photography: Unsuitable
- CCD photography: Reasonable, for special IR photography (as chlorophyll)
- DSLR photography (original): Unsuitable
- DSLR photography (astro modified): Unsuitable
- DSLR photography (MC modified): Good, for IR daylight photography, longer exposure time
- Webcam / Video (Planets): Very good, rejects problems with seeing, particularly with telescopes larger 250 mm aperture
- Webcam / Video (Deep Sky): Very good, rejects problems with seeing, particularly with telescopes larger 250 mm aperture
Technical Data
- more then 97% transmission for wavelengths of 807nm to 1100nm
- blocking of wavelengths between 350nm and 790nm
- Parfocal with other Astronomik filters
- Glass thickness: 1mm
- Completely resistant against high humidity, scratches and aging effects
- Diffraction limited, the filter will not reduce the optical performance of your telescope!
- Astronomik filters are delivered in a high-quality, long lasting, filter box
- Since 2008 we do ship filters with a completely new design. Any kind of halo or strange reflection is a matter of past

Rediscover the world of birdwatching with the ZEISS Victory® SF. You can experience every spectacle nature has to offer with brilliant optics and an unparalleled wide-angle field of view. Thanks to its light weight, unique ergonomic design and dynamic fast-focus feature, the Victory SF allows for hours of relaxing birding without fatigue. The Victory SF is the new benchmark for birding and wildlife observation in the 125-year development of ZEISS binoculars.
The aim is to enable birders to find and observe even the best-hidden birds for periods long enough to allow clear identification backed up by unique plumage, colouring and other details, whether in dense reeds, bushes or woodland. The new ZEISS Victory SF 32 binoculars were created for these moments.
90% Light Transmission
The Ultra-FL Concept is containing several SCHOTT fluoride glasses for absolute color fidelity, brightness, clarity and the finest resolution of details, even in the harshest conditions and most challenging environment.
Extremely wide field of view
With birds often hiding in dense cover, it’s essential that you have a wide field of view to allow you to spot any slight movements. The wide field of view of the ZEISS Victory SF binoculars increases the observable area of interest by up to 20% in comparison with other binoculars. Depending on the model, the field of view is between 120 m and 155 m, giving the user an impressive overview.
True-to-life image quality
Compromises cannot be made when it comes to bird identification – fine details have to be recognised within seconds for an accurate and reliable identification. The ZEISS Victory SF family was developed to master the most demanding situations encountered in birdwatching. The optical performance was maximised with a UFL Concept. This allows the user to master the most demanding of bird-watching scenarios, ensuring every precious moment is captured with absolute clarity.

The focusing wheel is positioned in the triple-link bridge to allow for a comfortable, natural hand position. The anti-slip surface allows for easier, more precise operation and ideal focusing.
ZEISS T* Coating
ZEISS T* coating is a guarantee of the brilliant, high-contrast images which you will experience above all in adverse light conditions and in the twilight. Behind it, however, there is no specific formula for building up the layers. Instead, it is a technology that is constantly adjusted to suit new glass materials and requirements, which varies from lens to lens.
ErgoBalance Concept
Thanks to the ErgoBalance Concept, the binoculars are ideally balanced in the hands and enable prolonged and steady observation with minimum fatigue by reducing stresses on the muscles of the upper and lower arms.
A clear view, whatever the weather
There are always exciting things to be seen in the world of nature – even in wet weather. This is why ZEISS developed LotuTec®. A coating for the lenses of binoculars and spotting scopes that enables a clear and unhindered view in all weather conditions.

Kendrick Secondary Heater Wrap-Large heaters are designed to work with Newtonian/Dobsonian secondary mirrors that are attached to a "stalk", but don't have enough exposed mirror to use our "Split-Ring" or Elliptical style heaters. The heater warms the stalk, and that heat is then conducted to the mirror.
How to choose the right model for your telescope?
It's easy! You just need to make a few easy measurements. We can't help you to choose because we don't have your telescope in our shop and there are literally thousands of models and "eras" of these telescopes. Even models that have been in continuous production for decades frequently change the mirror assembly design, so we don't want to suggest a model that might not work. The good news is .... you have the telescope in-hand, so a few quick measurements is all it will take to find the perfect fit.
All models include easy electrical connectors and a neoprene wrap-around insulator which greatly enhances the performance of these heaters as it prevents the warmth generated by the heater from dissipating into the atmosphere.
The power draw is incredibly low using only 0.3amp or 4 watts at 100% Controller setting
This model is a simple strip-heater that can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. There are 3 sizes available.

Precise. Elegant. Made for every pocket.
An ultra-compact 8× monocular that slips into a jacket pocket and brings the world close, from a face on a distant stage to the fine veins of a single leaf.
Brilliant Leica optics, in a body smaller than your phone. The companion you actually carry.
112 mm tall, 152 grams.
At roughly 112 mm long and just 152 grams, the Monovid slips into a jacket pocket, a backpack or a small handbag and is easy to forget you are carrying. The slim aluminium barrel still delivers the full 8× optical performance of a far larger instrument. Portability never costs you the view.
The diamond-pattern leather.
The body wears the same diamond-pattern leathering as the legendary Leica cameras. It is more than a styling cue: the leather gives a secure, tactile grip in the hand and shrugs off years of daily use. The result is a discreet, timeless elegance that only improves with age.
90% light transmission.
HDC multi-coated optics and a P40 phase-corrected roof prism push 90% of the available light through to your eye, for bright, high-contrast views with faithful colour. The HighLux HLS coating draws extra brightness from every scene. Fine detail holds up at dawn, at dusk and in shade.
Waterproof to 5 metres.
The nitrogen-filled aluminium housing is sealed against water to a depth of 5 metres and resists internal fogging when the temperature changes suddenly. It shrugs off rain, spray and dust without complaint. A humid morning by the water is never a reason to leave it at home.
Macro views, from 25 cm.
The included close-up lens simply screws onto the objective. It lets you focus on objects just 25 to 30 cm away with razor-sharp clarity, ideal for deciphering a timetable, reading the small print, or studying the fine structure of a flower.
Wherever you go.
In the city, at the theatre, or out in open country, the Monovid is small enough to always be with you and ready in an instant.
Detail you would otherwise miss.
At 8× magnification, distant facades, signage and the faces of performers on stage are pulled close. Up close, the structure of bark, an insect or a leaf is revealed in fine, natural detail.
Colour, exactly as it is.
HDC coatings and 90% light transmission keep the image bright and the colours faithful, right down to the wing of a single butterfly.
8× magnification with a 25 mm objective lens.
Included close-up lens focuses from 25 to 30 cm.
HDC multi-coated optics with 90% light transmission.
P40 phase-corrected roof prism with HighLux HLS.
Waterproof to 5 m, in a nitrogen-filled aluminium body.
Supplied with close-up lens, hand strap, eyepiece cover and leather pouch.

Noctivid optics. Pocket dimensions.
The Leica Noctivid Compact 8×25 puts full-Noctivid optical quality into a 374 g body that disappears into a jacket pocket. A 120 m field of view at 1,000 m, 90 % light transmission, and waterproof to 5 m — made in Germany, built without compromise.
Leica’s finest glass. In the one binocular you will never leave behind.
Brilliant in low light. Honest about it.
Leica’s HDC® High Durable Coating system achieves 90 % light transmission across the entire optical path — a figure most compact binoculars at this size cannot match. Images are brilliant, high-contrast, and free of colour fringing even in challenging light conditions.
90% transmission, 14.1 twilight factor.
HighLux-System HLS® coatings deliver 90 % light transmission, so the view stays bright as the light drops away. A twilight factor of 14.1 keeps fine detail and colour readable at dawn and dusk, when wildlife is most active. The image holds long after a lesser compact has gone flat.
Edge-to-edge sharpness. No excuses.
BAK4 roof prisms with Leica P40 phase-correction coating eliminate the interference effects that rob lesser compact binoculars of contrast and definition. The result is three-dimensional clarity with accurate colour fidelity right to the edge of the field.
The full field. For everyone.
A 15 mm eye relief with twist-up rubber eyecups and two indexed click-stops ensures spectacle wearers see the complete 120 m field without compromise — not the cropped view that shorter eye relief delivers.
Solms-built rigidity. Ready for wherever you take it.
The Noctivid Compact 8×25 is built around an aluminium chassis — the same structural thinking behind every Leica instrument from Solms. At 374 g and 110 × 112 × 40 mm, the rubber armour provides a secure grip through rain and cold, while the double-hinge design collapses to a profile that genuinely fits a jacket pocket.
Concert hall, cliff face, or coral reef.
The Noctivid Compact belongs wherever you do. Small enough to forget you’re carrying it. Powerful enough to matter when you pull it out.
Sealed against everything the sky sends.
Nitrogen-filled and waterproofed to 5 m depth. Rain, spray, salt air, condensation — none of it reaches the optics. The Noctivid Compact is ready when conditions are not.
2 m to the horizon. Nothing missed.
A 2 m minimum focus distance means the Noctivid Compact 8×25 resolves the wing pattern of a butterfly on your hand and the silhouette of a raptor a kilometre away — without changing equipment.
Made in Germany. Still.
In an era of global manufacturing, the Noctivid Compact is engineered and built in Germany — inheriting the same factory precision and optical philosophy that produced the cameras, rangefinders, and field scopes that defined a century of German optics.
Fits your pocket. Not your compromise list.
At 110 × 112 × 40 mm and 374 g, the Noctivid Compact 8×25 slides into a jacket pocket, daypack lid, or glove-box. The double-hinge collapses it flat in seconds. It is always with you — which means it is always ready.
No surprises. Everything a serious birdwatcher or traveller actually needs from a compact binocular.
8× magnification with a 120 m field of view at 1,000 m — the widest in its class.
HDC® multilayer coatings and HighLux-System HLS® for 90 % light transmission.
P40 phase-correction coating on BAK4 roof prisms for sharp, accurate colour reproduction.
15 mm eye relief with two-click twist-up eyecups, comfortable for spectacle wearers.
Diopter adjustment ±4 dpt for precise individual eye compensation.
Waterproof to 5 m depth; nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging in all conditions.
Aluminium body with non-slip rubber armour; 110 × 112 × 40 mm, 374 g.
Minimum focus distance of 2 m. Interpupillary distance 37–84 mm. Launched April 2026.
Includes neoprene carrying strap, eyepiece cover, and Cordura case with belt loop.
Engineered and built in Germany. Available in rubber armour or leather finish.
Technical specifications.
A century of German glass. In your pocket.
The Noctivid Compact carries the optical lineage of every Leica instrument before it — the same commitment to resolving power, contrast, and colour truth that has defined German precision optics for generations.
Leica Noctivid Compact 8×25 binoculars, backed by Bintel since 1958.

SFPT — Internal Double Stack Module For Lunt LS80MT & LS100MT Universal Day and Night Telescopes.
Now with new-generation etalons — every unit individually tested on Lunt's precision metrology equipment. Every specification is verified, not estimated.
The SFPT is the internal double-stack module for Lunt's 80mm and 100mm Universal Modular Telescopes. It adds a second precision etalon inside the telescope body, reducing combined system bandpass from 0.45Å single-stack to <0.28Å — without altering the telescope's external dimensions, balance, or night-sky capability.
The improvement in chromospheric contrast at <0.28Å is immediate and significant. Surface detail that single-stack views render as texture separates into discrete structure. Plage boundaries sharpen into defined cellular networks. Filaments reveal dark cores and complex multi-strand architecture. Active regions display the full depth of their magnetic complexity. Prominences show internal threading and flow patterns that single-stack instruments at this aperture simply cannot resolve.
The SFPT is designed for customer installation — no factory return required. It can be purchased at the time of telescope acquisition or at any point thereafter, making the DS upgrade a genuine deferred investment rather than a permanent commitment at point of sale. The module includes dual independent Doppler True tuning knobs — one for each etalon — allowing precise independent control of bandpass position for optimum contrast on any target.
