Celestron X-Cel LX series eyepieces offer a 60º apparent field of view, perfect for the Moon, the planets, and a plethora of deep-sky objects. The premium six-element optical set is finished with multiple layers of high-transmission coatings for clear, sharp images. The edges of the optics are blackened for increased contrast. All seven X-Cel LX eyepieces sport 16mm of comfortable eye relief, and are parfocal, which means you can switch out eyepieces within the series during observing sessions and little or no additional focusing will be required. The X-Cel LX eyepiece body is made of black-anodized aluminum. The pop-up eyecups make it easy to adjust the height for different users. Turn them in one direction to extend the length, and the other direction to provide a flat surface, preferable to most eyeglass wearers. A threaded rubber grip around the center of the eyepiece barrel offers secure handling, even in moist conditions or with heavy gloves on. The 1.25” insert barrel is threaded to accept filters.

Tele Vue-NP101is
We were determined to make the NP series optically, mechanically, and functionally as perfect as possible for imaging up to 50mm diagonal chips without penalty to its near-ideal visual operation. (Reviewer Note.) How? By applying the developments created for the Tele Vue-60is to the new NP101is and NP127is and then going beyond.
The NP101 (540mm, f/5.4, 4") maintains its optical specifications yet with a redesigned 4-element optical system. Larger rear lens groups absolutely minimize vignetting in formats up to 50mm diagonal. For these large chips, an optional field corrector was developed so the corners of the newly brightened edges would virtually be as perfect as the center of the field.
Next, to take full advantage of the larger lenses, we developed a larger focuser and draw tube having a 3" front aperture and 2.4" rear aperture. This eliminates any restriction of the larger diameter converging light cone. We build and test the rack and pinion focuser to hold more than 5kg of weight, yet still permit extremely fine focusing control via a 10:1 dual-speed pinion assembly. This new draw tube also permits quick change from visual to imaging operation and allows full camera rotation without focus change. In addition, it has the capability to correct for any residual focal plane tilt and accepts a "position stop" for our digital micrometer to allow repeatable focus measurement to 0.0001".
To maintain squareness to the optical axis while changing camera orientation, the drawtube has four lock screws that tighten against a taper on the "imaging insert" ring. This insert is threaded to accept Tele Vue's new Imaging System accessories including large diameter extension tubes, optical accessories, and camera and CCD attachments, all with mating threads.
The Focusmate 10:1 planetary ball type reduction focuser provides extremely sensitive focus adjustment, measurable with the optional Digital Micrometer Kit to better than 1/10,000". Also, the optional Focusmate Driver permits electronic motor control of the focusing process. The Focusmate Driver has direction push-buttons and adjustable speed. A tap on the button permits vibration-free focusing in steps as small as approximately 0.0005". The Focusmate Driver can be remotely computer-controlled with Focusmaster Computer Interface.
Tele Vue has been known for producing visual instruments "even better than you imagined." We aim to achieve the same with our imaging equipment. Our dedicated local machinists and in-house staff are as committed as ever to deliver on these quality and performance goals.

Swarovski STS 80 HD 20-60x80mm Spotting Scope
It is at moments like these that you find out whether you are properly equipped. Wherever you are with Swarovski Optik, the natural world becomes ever more amazing. The Swarovski STS 80 HD observation telescope sets the highest standards among telescopes in this category. The STS 80 HD lets through more light than scopes in the 65mm class, providing better views in low-light environments, along with a comparatively wider field of view.
The use of fluorite HD lenses virtually eliminates colour fringing (chromatic aberration) for contrast-rich images. As a result, significant improvements in resolution and contrast are achieved when compared to conventional grades of glass. This is the best option for perfect image fidelity when digiscoping or for demanding visual observations.
The angled version is recommended for observing in comfort whether your target is on the ground, in trees or in awkward positions such as high above in the sky.
The 20-60x eyepiece provides variable magnification and achieves luminous, diamond-bright images with edge-to-edge sharpness across the entire magnification range. This configuration is very good for all birding situations - it enables both scanning of the terrain and bird identification in razor-sharp detail. It is the most popular option for general nature observation.
Note: If you intend to use your scope for digiscoping, the Swarovski STS 80 HD with 25-50x wide eyepiece is preferable. This eyepiece provides a wide apparent field of view and minimizes vignetting when used for digiscoping.
The non-stick effect of the SWAROCLEAN coating on the outer surface of the lens makes cleaning objective and eyepiece lenses considerably easier, above all when removing dried-on mineral residues (e.g. water marks due to condensation), insect repellents and tree resin. The lenses require less intensive cleaning which significantly increases the longevity of optical products.

Since portability is so important factor as it is a lens that is often used for portraits with shallow depth of field,
we had to take the optical design, mechanism design, and electronics skills to the highest level in order to create a high-class telephoto prime lens.
Made For Expression
2. Ultra-precision Aspherical lens offering a soft and beautiful bokeh
3. Focus Range Limiter useful for shooting portraits and close-ups
4. Optimized function for astrophotography - Astro-Focus Mode and LED index
Excellent Expression of F1.8 Telephoto Prime Lens
Superb Resolution
in Lightweight 135mm
Not only outstanding resolution but also weight is important when shooting portraits. Especially in a handheld shooting environment, the benefit of the lightweight lens is huge, so innovative technology was needed to combine resolution and weight at the same time. The Samyang AF 135mm F1.8 FE is lighter than other 135mm lenses compatible with full-frame Sony FE mount, but it realizes overwhelming resolution in the entire image area and expresses the subject with clear image quality. You can capture the subject's details from the fluttering hairs of models to the twinkling of nebulae light-years away with unprecedented resolution!
Amazing Performance from Samyang's Advanced Optical Design
An optimum resolution is achieved through the optical design of 6 special glasses(3 ED, 2 HR, and 1 U-ASP) among 13 elements in 11 groups. Three extra low-dispersion lenses (ED) produce clear image quality effectively controlling chromatic aberration. Equipped with two high refractive lenses (HR) with excellent refractive index and an ultra-precision aspherical lens (UA), deliver excellent sharpness and contrast in all areas of the image.
Extremely Narrow Depth of Field and Breathtaking Bokeh
Gorgeous Bokeh
The AF 135mm F1.8 FE uses a large-diameter aperture to provide smooth background blur. It effectively separates the subject from the background, using a shallow depth of field. Also, it is equipped with UA(Ultra-precision Aspherical) lens, so you can enjoy the natural and refined bokeh. Using this smooth bokeh, you can freely create your images highlighting your subject!
Short Minimum Focusing Distance
Although it is a 135mm telephoto lens that effectively controls aberration at all focusing distances has made it possible to achieve a minimum focus distance of just 0.69 meters (2.26 ft) and a maximum magnification of 0.243x for close-up photography. Small accessories and other subjects can be captured with remarkable resolution and soft, beautiful background bokeh.
Lens for Both Photographers and Videographers
Advanced Fast and Quiet AF
for Stills and Movies
Tracking the subject accurately and quickly, the AF also operates quietly and smoothly when shooting video. Samyang's Linear STM (Stepping Motor) satisfies both photographers and videographers with quieter and more accurate control of the focusing lens groups. The optical design minimizes focus breathing, which is especially advantageous for video recording. There is almost no change in the angle of view when adjusting the focus from close focus to infinity, so you can experience professional cinematic effects during shooting video with the subject moving forward or backward, or focusing from the front or back.
Enhanced Usability with Various Features
Customized Buttons to Maximize the Operability and Reliability
The AF 135mm F1.8 FE features 3 different customized buttons such as Focus Hold Button, Custom Switch, and Focus Range Limiter Switch to enhance usability.
Focus Hold Button
Pressing this button on the lens will keep the lens locked to that focusing distance. You can assign functions such as Eye AF in settings on the camera body.
Custom Switch
There is a custom switch, which can be set to allow adjustment of the aperture silently by rotating the focus ring. Using the optional Lens Station, you can set up the mode to suit your own preference*.
*More functions will be added through firmware updates in the future.
Focus Range Limiter Switch
The Focus Range Limiter only operates in AF mode.
• It is useful when the distance from an object has been determined.
• Move the Focus Range Limiter forward or backward to select the focus range.
- FULL: The AF range is set to infinity at a minimum focus distance of 0.69m.
(AF search may take slightly longer.)
- 0.69m - 2m: The AF range is set between 0.69m and 2m, which is suitable for close-up shooting.
- 1.5m - ∞: The AF range is set from 1.5m to infinity, which is suitable for normal shooting.
Modern Design & Weather Sealing
The AF 135mm F1.8 FE has been developed and enhanced, taking into consideration not only the design features but also the user's shooting environment. It has a micro-patterned rubber focus ring, which feels great to operate and the weather-sealing protects the lens from light rain, snow, and dust. You can easily tell the Astro-Focus Mode status with the LED Index when shooting at night.

- Designed to fit 32mm counterweight shafts
- Sturdy lock knob keeps the counterweight safely on the shaft
Whether you are enhancing your mount setup or buying a replacement part, the counterweight is there to balance weight of the optical tube (OTA) and accessories on the other side of the Right Accession (RA Axis). If you add accessories to your telescope setup (ie camera, guider, etc), you may need to add additional counterweights to off-set the weight.
If the balance is off on one-side or the other, it can do damage to your OTA and setup, the motor gear, and/or may have issues with tracking accuracy. You can add additional counterweights to improve the responsiveness to the system by reducing the mass inertia, though you need to make sure you space out the counterweights along the shaft to reduce damage to your setup and that it is cost-effective and worth it for your telescope setup.
This counterweight comes with a sturdy knurled knob locks to safely hold in place on the counterweight shaft. The counterweight is designed to fit 32mm counterweight shafts
Below are the counterweights that go with each one of our recent Celestron mounts.
