Swarovski AT Endura 21-65x75 Spotting Scope
The Swarovski AT Endura 21-65x75 is Swarovski's brand new lightweight spotting scope, a sealed one-piece 75mm with a 21-65x zoom that keeps the glass birders trust in a package that is far easier to carry. Here is a first look at what is new, the full specs and who it suits.

What is the Swarovski AT Endura?
The Swarovski AT Endura is a compact 75mm spotting scope built around portability. Unlike the modular ATX and STX system, where you mix and match eyepiece modules and objective bodies, the Endura is one sealed unit with a fixed 21-65x zoom eyepiece built in. What you see is what you get, and that is the whole idea.
That fixed design keeps the weight down to 1,490g and the length to 383mm, so it packs down small enough to live in a daypack. Swarovski has given it a fresh rubberised armour and a slightly lighter green than the old scopes, and the HD optics push a claimed 90% light transmission, which is a strong number for a scope this size.
A lighter, simpler Swarovski spotter
Four things set the AT Endura apart from the scopes it replaces.
Fixed one-piece body
Sealed as a single unit with a built-in eyepiece, so there are fewer joins to fail and better sealing against dust and moisture. It is submersible to 4 metres.
75mm HD optics
A 75mm objective with HD glass and a claimed 90% light transmission. Bright enough to keep working into that last hour before dark.
21-65x zoom
A built-in 21-65x zoom eyepiece gives a 3.1x range, from a wide 21x for finding things to 65x for pulling in the detail. No lenses to swap.
Just 1,490g
Light and short at 383mm, so it does not weigh down a pack on a long day out. Angled only, which is the comfy option for glassing uphill.
What the AT Endura replaces
The AT Endura replaces Swarovski's long-running ATS and STS spotting scopes, which have now been retired. Those were the 65mm and 80mm angled (ATS) and straight (STS) scopes that a lot of birders and hunters cut their teeth on over the years.
A couple of trade-offs are worth being upfront about. The Endura comes in angled only, and the eyepiece is fixed rather than interchangeable, with no extendable sunshade like the old models had. The upside of going one-piece is fewer parts to fail, better weather sealing and a lighter scope overall.
Swarovski AT Endura 21-65x75 specifications

Made to be carried
The AT Endura suits anyone who values a light, grab-and-go scope over a fully modular kit, and that is a big slice of birders, hunters, hikers and travellers.
For birdwatching downunder, the 75mm objective pulls in plenty of light for picking out waterbirds across a wetland or a raptor perched way off. Being angled, it is the comfy option for sharing a view or glassing uphill, and it plays nicely with a digiscoping setup if you want to grab photos through it.

Swarovski AT Endura questions
What is the Swarovski AT Endura?
It is Swarovski's new 75mm spotting scope, a sealed one-piece body with a built-in 21-65x zoom eyepiece. It weighs 1,490g, comes in angled only, and replaces the older ATS and STS scopes as a lighter, more portable option.
How much does the Swarovski AT Endura cost in Australia?
Check the AT Endura product page at Bintel for the current Australian price and availability. Overseas it launched at around US$2,899, which sits well below the flagship ATX and STX scopes.
What does the AT Endura replace?
It replaces the discontinued Swarovski ATS and STS spotting scopes, the old 65mm and 80mm angled and straight models. The Endura is a single fixed-body design rather than the modular ATX and STX system.
Is the AT Endura angled or straight?
Angled only. The old ATS (angled) and STS (straight) gave you both options, but the Endura comes in an angled configuration with a fixed, non-removable eyepiece.
Is the AT Endura good for birdwatching?
Yes. The 75mm HD objective and 90% light transmission make it a strong birding scope, bright well into dusk, and the angled body is comfortable for long sessions and digiscoping.
Swarovski optics, backed by Bintel
We have not had one on the counter long enough for a full verdict yet, but on paper the AT Endura looks like a smart move, the same name for optics that birders trust in a package that is easier to carry and easier to afford.
