14-inch aperture in a dismantlable truss design.
The Hubble Optics UL14 combines a 355.6 mm parabolic primary mirror with an open aluminium truss structure. It is a substantial visual telescope for observers who want to dismantle their equipment for travel to observing sites.
Separate trusses make the UL14 easier to store.
The upper assembly, truss tubes and lower structure separate for packing. Reassembly is followed by a collimation check, so the optical axes line up before you start observing. Allow space for the telescope components and the observing accessories you carry.

How the UL14 supports and focuses the image.
6-point mirror support
The flotation cell distributes the rear support of the primary mirror. Lateral support and collimation are separate, so alignment does not rely on distorting the mirror edge.
Dual-speed focusing
The 2-inch linear-bearing Crayford focuser gives you coarse adjustment followed by fine focus. Eyepieces are selected separately to suit the targets and magnifications you use.
