Specifications

ZWO has released a new 3-inch 0.7× full frame reducer that is compatible with the FF107APO and FF130APO telescopes. It has a three-element optical design, including one element made of ED glass. Its reduction factor is 0.7, which gives the FF107APO a shortened focal ratio of f/4.9 and a shorter focal length of 524mm. This allows for less total integration time and a wider field of view, bringing more convenience and possibilities for your wide-field deep sky imaging.

The reducer has a standard 55mm back focus and comes with M68, M54, and M48 threaded adapters for easy attachment.

Connection steps:

1. Prepare the FF107APO/FF130APO telescope tube and the focal reducer.
2. Unscrew the M86 to 2-inch adapter at the end of the FF107APO telescope tube.
3. Unscrew the end cap of the 0.7X reducer.
4. Insert the reducer into the focuser inner tube and tighten it.

New Planetary Camera from ZWO

ZWO ASI664MC is a remarkable new planetary CMOS camera. The 1/1.8" Sony IMX664 sensor features a small pixel size of 2.4µm pixel and a high resolution of 2704 x 1536 (4.15Mp). In high-speed mode the frame rate reaches 95 fps, while the read-out noise remains at a low level, as low as 0.46e!

ZWO ASI664MC vs ZWO ASI662MC

ZWO ASI664MC can be considered as an iteration of the ASI662MC. With the great improvement in sensor size and resolution, it provides a larger FOV and results in high-quality images containing more details.

Zero Amp Glow

ZWO ASI664MC adopts no-glow circuitry to avoid annoying amp glow being produced and ensure the image quality no matter how long the exposure and how high the gain value is.

(NOTE: This feature is implemented directly at the hardware level, it does not require software control.)

Camera Curve

Low readout noise, high dynamic range

The camera has a built-in HCG mode, which can effectively reduce readout noise at high gain and keep the dynamic range at the same level as it does at low gain. At 252 and above the HCG is automatically turned on; the dynamic range is close to 11bit; the readout noise can be lower than 1.0e.

Quantum Efficiency

QE noise and readout are very important parameters to measure the camera's performance. Higher QE and lower readout noise are necessary to improve the image signal-to-noise ratio. according to our estimation, the QE peak value of the ZWO ASI664MC is about 91%

Protective Window

The ASI664MC adopts an AR-coated filter as a protective window (Diameter: 21mm, Thickness: 1,1mm). It improved the camera's performance in UV and NIR wavelengths.

Testing and Quality Assurance

TEC Telescopes go through rigorous testing to ensure top quality performance. Newtonian Rings are used throughout the glass production process and TEC then use an interferometer to correct any remaining imperfections. Every telescope is then tested vigorously to reach the most optimum Strehl ratio possible. Rest assured that your telescope has been optimized to be as optically perfect as possible. If the objective does not reach TEC's expectations, the telescope will not be shipped. As a strict policy, TEC will not release telescope test reports.

While the objectives are fine-tuned under interferometrical control to meet the highest optical standards, cosmetic imperfections may exist in the objective and the tube assembly. Please rest assured that any imperfection in the telescope has been determined not to affect the optical performance.

We offer a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials or workmanship on the mechanics and optics, and 2 years on electronic components of our products purchased from an authorised Australian dealer. Please note that our warranty does not extend to products that have been subjected to abuse, misuse, improper handling, physical damage, improper repairs or modifications. The warranty does not cover damage caused by natural disasters and normal wear and tear. Further claims for consequential damage that has not occurred to the product itself will not be accepted. This warranty is applicable only to products sold as new.

In the event of a warranty claim, the purchaser must provide the tax invoice and/or delivery receipt, as well as the product warranty card, which shows the serial number of the product and the date of purchase. These documents serve as proof of authenticity for the purchased product and as evidence of entitlement to the warranty. The purchaser can make a warranty claim through one of our authorised dealers or contact us directly for further instructions on how to process the claim. We will determine whether to repair or replace the product or the defec­tive component at our discretion.

This warranty is in addition to any other rights or remedies that the purchaser may have under the Australian Consumer Law and does not limit or exclude those rights or remedies. The terms and conditions of the warranty are governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes will be resolved in accordance with Australian law.

The R.A motor mdule runs on electricity only. The incorporated bearings produce smooth and stable movements.

The R.A motor module has an USB micro-B plug and it works on an commercially available USB external power supply battery. The external battery of 0.5 ampere in con formity to DCP specification is required. When it is used in combination with an AP declination body unit, it is usable with 4×AA batteries also.

Versatile tracking options are available in addition to the sidereal tracking rate.

The four direction buttons on the STAR BOOK ONE dual-axis controller move the R.A motor electrically in X and Y (R.A and Dec) directions either quickly and slowly. It can be used for autoguiding in conjunction with an external autoguider. The STAR BOOK ONE recognize the Vixen Mount to which it is attached. Only functions or commends that are applicable to that mount will be displayed on the screen

Specifications

A package of large aperture 126mm binocular telescope with friction-stop HF2 altazimuth fork mount on a sturdy SXG-HAL130 tripod. Newly designed achromatic lens delivers very sharp image not only in the centre but also to the surrounding of field of view. 45-degree inclined drawtube assures comfortable gazing of stars even at the zenith. Moreover the eyepiece can be simply installed through push-fit while eliminating a need for fixing screws.

Since optical axis may not be on the centre if extremely high magnification eyepieces are used, eyepieces with focal length of 10mm or over is suggested.

Comfortable gazing at all angles

When gazing stars with binoculars with a straight view type, it is difficult to view comfortably as of need to looking up. However, the binocular telescope permits gazing at 45-degree angle comfortably.

Pillar leg An enhanced version of the SXG-P85 pillar leg. By changing the design of the support leg part, it is easier to assemble and the strength is improved. Since it has one leg, there are fewer blind spots when pointing the lens barrel mounted on an equatorial mount in any direction compared to a tripod. Since the installation radius can be smaller than that of a tripod of the same size, it can be installed even in a relatively narrow space.

Attaching a DSLR camera or other instruments to the AP mount

The dovetail slide bar PG is used to attach a DSLR camera or other instruments with 1/4” screw to the AP mount. It can be mounted on all the Vixen mount heads with the Vixen style dovetail mounting unit (SX2, SXD2 and PORTA II). The elongated sight slot on the dovetail slide bar PG avoids disturbing the field of view of the polar scope when it is used.

Realized clear view with less chromatic aberration by using SD lens. This is a 70 mm anti-astring binocular with an SD (ultra low dispersion) glass lens with suppressed chromatic aberration. It has less color bleed, clear and high contrast view.

Shooting

The AP Photoguider is equipped with the polar alignment scope where polar axis is aligned at accuracy within 3 ar sec, using auto power off for illumination of the dark field illuminator.
