Celestron's CPC 925 GPS combines the flexibility of Schmidt-Cassegrain optics with Global Positioning System navigation. The result is a powerful instrument for the serious stargazer. The CPC series makes alignment simpler than ever and adds some additional features that you will certainly appreciate. Best of all is the new SkyAlign™ system, which doesn't even require your scope to be pointed north and level. Simply aim the scope sequentially at any three bright objects in the sky. That's all there is to alignment!
After aligning the NexStar database filters out objects below the horizon from the hand controller's 40,000-item database thereby simplifying your hunting to celestial targets that can currently be observed.
Celestron's StarBright XLT coatings are now standard on the Celestron CPC 925 GPS telescope. These coatings dramatically increase total light transmission through the optics by a measrable 43%! Light loss through inferior coatings can have a particularly detrimental effect on the brightness and contrast of deep space objects. StarBright XLT coatings minimises this effect and brings the faintest things your scope can resolve into greater detail.
