Celestron NexStar Evolution 9.25 combines SCT optics with a rechargeable, WiFi-enabled mount for visual astronomy and short-exposure imaging.
StarBright XLT coatings and a folded optical path bring substantial aperture to a compact optical tube.
The included 40 mm and 13 mm eyepieces give approximately 59x and 180x. Start at lower power to find and frame a target.
After you centre three bright stars with SkyAlign, the mount can locate selected objects and track them for comfortable observing.
The single-fork Evolution mount combines motorised pointing with manual movement in altitude and azimuth. Carry handles and accessory trays make the observing setup easier to manage.
Worm gears drive both axes, while the altitude and azimuth clutches allow manual positioning for setup and storage.

SkyAlign guides you through centring three bright stars. You do not need to know their names; this step establishes where the telescope is pointing.
Choose a target after alignment and let GoTo move the telescope. Tracking keeps the view centred as the Earth rotates. Evolution setup manual.
Fully charge before the first session. During storage, recharge every 3 to 6 months rather than leaving the battery flat.
The supplied alt-azimuth mount tracks objects for eyepiece observing. Lunar and planetary imaging uses an additional camera and suitable adapters.
Alt-azimuth tracking still allows the field to rotate during long exposures. A suitable equatorial wedge and polar alignment are needed to address field rotation in long exposures. Wedge and imaging equipment are additional.
The hand control can use any AUX port. There is no built-in GPS, autoguide port or periodic error correction.
The assembled kit weighs approximately 28.4 kg. Plan transport and assembly around the tube, mount and tripod.
Release the clutches for setup or storage. If you move an aligned telescope manually, repeat alignment before using GoTo.
Never look at the Sun without a suitable, securely fitted front aperture solar filter. Never project the Sun or use an eyepiece solar filter or Herschel wedge. Permanent eye injury can result. Supervise children.
