QHY5III200M is a new generation of QHY5III V2 series planetary guide camera, using domestic CMOS, with excellent quality, and near-infrared high sensitivity similar to 5III462C. QHY5III200 is also the first mono CMOS planetary camera with near-infrared enhancement characteristics QHY developed. In addition, the 4um large picture elements make it easier to use for guiding.

The QHY5III (Ver. 2) series planetary and guiding cameras are all equipped with a 512MB DDR3 image buffer which can effectively reduce the pressure on computer transmission, a great help for planetary photography which often requires writing a large amount of data in a short period of time. Some deep-sky astrophotography cameras on the market today only have 256MB, for example.

The new QHY5III (Ver.2) series cameras all use the USB3.2 Gen1 Type-C interface. Compared to the USB3.0 Type-B interface used in the previous generation, the Type-C interface has a longer life and is more flexible.

Tips: It is recommended to use the official standard Type-C data cable of QHYCCD. As the market is flooded with a large number of poor-quality Type-C cables, casual use may lead to the camera malfunctioning. If you use your own spare cable, please make sure it is a high-quality cable.

The custom interfaces of the previous generation of planetary cameras and guiders has been replaced in the QHY5III (Ver.2) cameras with a more universal ST-4 compatible guiding interface. Now, even if the guiding cable is lost or damaged, you will be able to easily get a replacement on the market at a low cost.

The new QHY5III (Ver.2) series of cameras is equipped with a status indicator at the back of the camera. If the camera experiences an abnormal status, the multi-colored indicator light will help to determine the situation with different colors signifying different conditions. During normal operation this indicator light is off, so there is no worry about light contaminating the image.

SWAROVISION features a long eye relief and the removable twist-in eyecup is individually adjustable.

The result: even spectacle wearers can enjoy a large field of view, not to mention the inimitable edge sharpness. An additional eyecup has been specially developed for spectacle wearers to further increase viewing comfort.

Maximum colour fidelity – Optimised coatings

The enhanced lens and prism coatings (SWARODUR & SWAROTOP) give noticeably better colour reproduction combined with even greater transmission. SWAROCLEAN coatings on the outer lens surfaces create a non-stick effect, making it easier to clean.

Just one hand

When every second counts. Imagine a plover flitting over the shore one minute and taking off into the sky the next. The ATX/STX spotting scopes ensure that you are prepared for moments like this. This is because the new position of the zoom ring, which is now directly behind the focusing ring, makes it easier to handle. It means that you can zoom and focus with one hand, while steering the spotting scopes direction with the other.

This completely new ergonomic design offers a crucial benefit for digiscopers in particular. They can now use the camera quickly, easily and accurately with one hand, while the other concentrates on zoom and focus.

Easy to transport

Not a gram too heavy for top optical performance. Size and weight is the name of the game for all those who like to travel or spend long days in the field. The ATX/STX series means that bulky spotting scopes that are difficult to pack and heavy to carry are a thing of the past.

Ultra-durable Material

The 11" Optical Tube Soft Case is constructed from 900 denier polyester for durability and weather resistance. Its walls are lined with 16mm thick EPE foam to protect your telescope. Unzip the case and you’ll discover a soft polyester interior lining with adjustable straps to hold your optical tube firmly in place.

The 11" Optical Tube Soft Case has a hidden external zipper pocket to hold eyepieces and other accessories. It is designed with cinching straps to firm up the pocket when in use and to hide it when empty.

The interior has one sewn in cinching strap to hold the optical tube firmly in place.

Tele Vue Ethos SX 4.7mm Specifications

Introduced at the 2007 Northeast Astronomy Forum, Tele Vue once again broadened the amateur astronomer's perspective on the universe with: 100° of pure Tele Vue quality. The field area of this new eyepiece is more than 50% larger than an 82° field. The Tele Vue Ethos is essentially multiple eyepieces, delivering the true field size of a longer focal length, narrower apparent field eyepiece with the benefits of higher power and darker sky background.

We invited NEAF attendees to take a look and see the universe the way we think it was meant to be experienced, with a field of view incredibly wide and sharp! We were very pleased indeed by the response and validation of our design goals.
