1. L-eXtreme F/2 Introduction
Optolong L-eXtreme F/2 is a dual-band (500.7 nm and 656.28 nm, FWHM=7 nm) narrowband pass filter that meets the requirements for transmission at continuously varying angles. Astronomically characterised spectral lines (OIII, Ha) as the main transmission wavelengths, the OIII and H-Alpha nebula emission lines pass accurately at f2 - f3.3 Focal Ratio. It's a product that Optolong has developed specifically for fast optical systems or fast focal ratio imaging systems. It has performed well on RASA, HyperStar, and other fast ratio telescopes.
Key Features:
♦Together with one-shot colour astronomical cameras, monochrome astronomical cameras, and Digital SLR cameras, you can fast and quickly obtain clear and detailed images of the deep sky;
♦Ideal for fast optical systems, like RASA, Hyperstar, and other fast focal ratio telescope users;
♦Recommended for using a fast optical system with a focal ratio from f2 to f3.3;
♦Anti-light pollution、better contrast、more details of the celestial bodies: This filter cuts out background light and noise beyond the target celestial bodies to get better details and contrast of the images. L-eXtreme F/2 can effectively block light pollution so that the images will not affected by unwanted lights and skylight of the background. You can quickly get satisfactory pictures in fast optical systems.
2. Spectrum and Characteristic
Based on the characteristics of celestial bodies’ emission lines and light pollution emission lines, the L-eXtreme F/2 retains the prominent nebula OIII and Ha colours while blocking most of the light pollution. Specifically designed and optimally calculated for the characteristics of a fast optical system, the L-eXtreme F2 always keeps both OIII and Ha bands having high transmittance, which helps users to capture nebulae emission lines in these bands more accurately and quickly and obtain better astrophotographic images.
How to read the chart?
▲The horizontal axis is the Wavelength in Nanometers(nm).
▲The vertical axis is transmission in %.
3. Coating Technology
·Multi-layers anti-reflection coating
·Non-cementing optical substrate coating
·Optolong filter adopts precision coating based on Ion-assisted deposition coating technology for durability and resistance to scratching, as well as stability on CWL(central wavelength) no deviation affected by temperature change.
·Planetary rotation system offers precision and homogeneity of coatings ensuring high value on transmission of pass-band and Optical density of off-band.

Kite APC 42 Full Black
Waterproof silicon jacket for Kite Optics APC Binoculars
Suits both 14 x 50 and 18 x 50 models
Pentax's highly portable and functional U-Series UP Compact Binocular employs an innovative unibody design that locks the objective lenses into the body with the eyepieces set on a synchronized dual-axis mechanism that ensures they stay symmetrical in relation to the center axis of the optic when adjusting the interpupillary distance. The 25mm objective lenses are fully multicoated to reduce reflection and maximize light transmission to produce the brightest images possible. Aspherical lens elements virtually eliminate distortion, especially around the edges, and corrects for lens astigmatism which can prevent sharp focusing.
Designed for easy carrying and stowing, the binocular features a lightweight fiberglass reinforced polycarbonate housing that is corrosion and impact resistant. The housing material is also temperature-resistant allowing for its use in extreme climates while reducing expansion and contraction wide temperature variations can cause, which can make the optical components move out of collimation over time.

Farpoint Bahtinov Mask RASA 8" designed for the Celestron 8 inch RASA telescope, is an ingenious way to easily focus a telescope. Pavel Bahtinov, a Russian amateur telescope maker and astronomer, created this simple, very intuitive method and the device has universally been named after him: The Bahtinov Mask.
Farpoint Bahtinov Mask RASA 8"
Farpoint Bahtinov Mask RASA 8" is an ingenious way to easily focus a telescope. Pavel Bahtinov, a Russian amateur telescope maker and astronomer, created this simple, very intuitive method and the device has universally been named after him: The Bahtinov Mask.
Attach a camera to the telescope, center a fairly bright star and achieve rough focus. Then place the mask over the front aperture of your telescope by “hanging” it on the plastic screws from the front dew shield. Take a short exposure. The image of the star will show diffraction spikes. The “center” set will most likely be shifted to one side or the other. This is showing the defocus.
Adjust the focus of the telescope and re-expose the star, once again showing the diffraction spike pattern. Iterate the process until the central diffraction spike is centered against the star and the other spikes. When a symmetrical pattern is achieved, the best possible focus is then reached. Simply remove the mask, center the target object and take amazing, sharp images!
Farpoint manufactures this "lifesaving" astrophotography tool out of virtually indestructible ABS plastic, which comes in two major types and in a range of sizes. In addition to Bahtinov masks for telescopes, Farpoint also makes Bahtinov masks for DSLR camera lenses.
Farpoint Bahtinov Masks Are one of the best tools for manually focusing your telescope available to astrophotographers. In 2005, Pavel Bahtinov, a Russian amateur telescope maker and astronomer detailed a way to easily focus your DSLR, CMOS or CCD camera for astrophotography by adding a mask that matches the diameter of your telescope.
Bahtinov mask are a less expensive method of getting focus on objects in the night sky compared to a standard motor focuser.
With the right mask and setup it’s easy to get crystal clear focus on a star in less than 90 seconds.
How it works
The slits in the mask are the focus assist, when the star is in focus it will appear on your screen display as an “X” with a line through the center (see above).
These masks will work equally as well on the end of a scope or on the end of a dew shield on top of that the mask itself does not need to be perfected centered on the scope this is due to the angle of the slits themselves.
Select a bright star, this will be your guiding object. Place the Bahtinov focusing mask on your telescope’s lens and secure it into place using the provided rubber tabs.
The slits in the mask design create a set of diffraction spikes on the star that will assist in the accuracy of our focus. It will appear on your DSLR display screen or computer as an “X” with a line through the center (when in focus).

TMB PlanetView Planetary Eyepieces:
The TMB PlanetView Planetary Eyepiece series is designed for high-magnification planetary and lunar observing, delivering sharp, high-contrast views with excellent eye comfort. Choosing the right focal length for your telescope typically provides a significant upgrade in magnification and fine detail compared to the stock eyepieces supplied with most telescopes, making planetary features clearer and easier to observe. Featuring a 5-element optical design and a wide 58° apparent field of view, these eyepieces offer a more immersive experience than traditional narrow-field planetary designs while maintaining the crisp detail needed for serious observing.
Fully multi-coated optics and internal baffling maximise light transmission and suppress stray reflections, improving contrast on subtle planetary features and fine lunar detail. The large eye lens and generous eye relief make these eyepieces comfortable to use, especially during long observing sessions or when wearing glasses.
Built with an all-metal housing and a fold-down rubber eyecup, TMB PlanetView eyepieces are robust, practical, and compatible with all standard 1.25" focusers and filters. They are also Bintel’s number one recommended first upgrade for most telescopes, offering one of the simplest and most noticeable improvements you can make to planetary and lunar performance.

Your telescope's focuser is used to compensate for your near- or far-sightedness; DIOPTRX™ compensates for your astigmatism. These units attach and lock onto the tops of over 20 long eye-relief Tele Vue eyepieces to achieve the sharpest full-field viewing possible. DIOPTRX™ models are available in ½ to 3½ diopter and are rotatable for tuning to the best orientation. A series of engraved letters on the barrel helps to monitor orientation. Simply choose the DIOPTRX™ model that matches your eyeglass prescription for astigmatism. All lenses are multi-coated glass in anodized aluminum housings with rubber eyeguards.
1. You're more likely to see a sharper, higher contrast image, because:
A. The Dioptrx is always completely aligned to the eyepiece optics, eliminating aberrations from a decentered mismatch of eyeglass power and astigmatic axis.
B. Dioptrx can be rotated to exactly compensate for the astigmatic axis angle in real time, since both head angle and age can vary your eyesight astigmatic angle.
C. Dioptrx likely has better multi-coatings than eyeglasses, and certainly is better in transmission and reflection reduction than uncoated eyeglass.
D. Dioptrx is more likely to be cleaner than eyeglasses, which may have scratches and smudges from constant use and wear and tear.
E. Dioptrx allows seeing your normal maximum contrast that eyeglasses can diminish (remove your eyeglasses and see how contrast improves in normal vision).
2. You're more likely to see the full field in 100° Ethos eyepieces because your eyeglasses are more limiting in "effective eye-relief".
How To Choose
Simply choose DIOPTRX™ to match the cylinder (astigmatism) value of your preferred viewing eye. In the example above, you would choose 0.5 diopter model for your right eye and 1.5 diopter model for your left eye.
- Ignore spherical and axis values.
- Ignore all ± signs

Tele Vue NP127is
For 25 years, Tele Vue has pushed the boundaries of APO refractors, as well as eyepieces, to the recognised pinnacle of performance. The Tele Vue NP127is retains the exemplary wide field and planetary visual capability while adding new features to make imaging easier and more flexible.
Tele Vue was determined to make the NP series optically, mechanically, and functionally as perfect as possible for imaging up to 50mm diagonal chips without penalty to its near-ideal visual operation.
By applying the developments created for the TeleVue60is to the new NP127is and then going beyond the results speak for themselves.
The NP127is maintains its 127mm f/5.2 optical specifications yet with a redesigned 4-element optical system. The larger rear lens group absolutely minimises vignetting in formats up to 50mm measured diagonally across the chip. An optional field corrector is available so the corners of the newly brightened edges are virtually as perfect as the centre of the field. To prevent restriction of the larger converging light cone the focuser has a 3" front aperture and a 2.4" rear aperture.
The new drawtube has features allowing quick changes from visual to imaging operation. While imaging cameras can be rotated without changing focus (just remember to do new flats!). It also has the capability to correct for any residual focal plane tilt so the imaging chip is square on to the light path.
The imaging insert ring is threaded to accept Tele Vue's new Imaging System accessories including large diameter extension tubes, optical accessories, and camera/CCD attachments all with mating threads.
TeleVue builds and tests the rack and pinion focuser to hold more than 5kg of weight, yet still permit extremely fine focusing control via a 10:1 dual-speed pinion assembly (measurable with the optional Digital Micrometer Kit). The optional Focusmate driver also permits electric motorised control of the focusing process. The new Focusmaster software interface allows this entire procedure to be completed from a PC or laptop.
Tele Vue has been known for producing visual instruments "even better than you imagined". The new NP127is is evidence that they aim to achieve the same with their imaging equipment

After a short wait, the "re-tweaked" TV127is is available. Never ones to rest, Tele Vue took the opportunity to to make small but meaningful changes to their flagship model. Both the optical and mechanical designs have been revised to reduce atmospheric defocusing sensitivity. The new lens prescription delivers smaller spot sizes over a broader wavelength range than before, while a new stainless steel front cell helps provide better thermal stability in extreme climates. Advanced multi-coatings are applied to maximize contrast and transmission. Still the fastest in the industry, there is just no competitive comparison considering its f/5.2 speed and flat-field.

QHY183M is a model designed for astrophotography beginners. It exhibits excellent sensitivity and low noise, with the back illuminated QHY183M having higher sensitivity and somewhat higher resolution. It is well suited to planetary and deep-space imaging particularly when mated with the CFW3 filter wheel. This model has two-stage thermal electric cooling of the sensor to about minus 40 degrees C below ambient for maximum reduction of dark current noise in long exposures.
QHY183 incorporates QHY’s Anti-Amp Glow technology to significantly reduce typical CMOS amplifier glow to a minimum, allowing excellent calibration by subtracting a dark frame.
QHY183 utilizes the Anti-Dew features common to the QHY COLDMOS cameras. Dew is moisture that condenses from the air onto the outside of the chamber window. Frost is water vapor that freezes when it comes into contact with the inside of the chamber window or the surface of the sensor. QHY has nearly 20 years of experience designing cooled cameras and these models benefit from those years of anti-dew and anti-frost design experience. To help prevent dew from forming on the chamber window heating elements are built into the light shield just above the chamber. To avoid frost from forming inside the chamber a desiccant tube is provided that can easily be attached by the user to the outside of the camera when needed to dry the internal atmosphere of the chamber and remove any built-up moisture.
QHY183 models can be used as guiding devices, too. The opto-isolated guiding port is a standard ST-4 configuration using an RJ11 style Jack. A guiding cable is included with each camera.
The 183 with its smaller higher resolution sensor is a good match to short focal length telescopes or for imaging smaller dim objects through a large scope. The larger 163 gives a greater field of view and would be a good choice for imaging larger areas of the sky such as nebula or when coupled to a longer focal length telescope to take greater advantage of the scopes full field.
The QHY183M is a one-inch, 20 Megapixel back-illuminated monochrome CMOS camera with a peak QE of 84%. The pixel size is 2.4um, yielding high-resolution with modest size telescopes. The camera is capable of producing 15FPS@20 Megapixels. It has a two-stage TEC that cools the sensor to -40C to -45C below ambient. The ADC is 12-bit / 16-bit with 1e- read noise! The computer interface is USB 3.0 and exposure times can be set from 50us to 3600sec.

The telescope side of the Pyxis LE is a simple two-inch "push-fit" barrel. The long barrel adapter, just short of 2-1/2 inches, is easily inserted into any 2" focuser such as the Optec TCF-S Temperature Compensating Focuser. Combined with the TCF-S or TCF-Si, the Pyxis LE creates a focuser/rotator combination requiring less than 4-1/2 inches of back-focus.
The camera side of the Pyxis LE is a standard male T-thread. Any T-thread camera, filter wheel, off-axis guider, or industry standard T2 ring can screw directly on to the exit port of the Pyxis LE - no other adapters are required. All of the users existing accessories - T-thread spacers, off-axis guiders, filter wheels, etc. - can be attached directly. With the Pyxis LE, the confusion typically surrounding adapters is eliminated since the Pyxis LE is ready to use out-of-the-box. Simply attach your camera, slip into a 2-inch focuser, and you're ready to go.
The Pyxis LE is ideally suited for small, well-balanced cameras such as the QSI, Fish Camp, Starlight Xpress or SBIG ST-series CCD cameras. Canon and Nikon DLSR cameras will attach directly using an optional T2 bayonet ring. Optional T-thread extender rings can be added in 7.5 and 15mm lengths for additional offset to avoid filter wheel stepper motors such as with the SBIG CFW9.
