Tele Vue's Delos 10mm is a short to medium focal length eyepiece that will deliver amazing detail. Importantly though it still achieves a generous 20mm eye-relief and wide 72° apparent field of view. Amazing in well corrected refractors with short to medium focal lengths. The Delos 10mm is suitable for any focal length telescope. Some of the shorter focal length Delos eyepieces may provide too much power in long focal length Cassegrains. For example in an 8" f/10 telescope the 10mm Delos provides 200x magnification with eye-relief galore!
There is a good chance the TeleVue Delos will be seen as the ultimate combination of performance, viewing comfort and price. If you've been keeping a spot in your case for an affordable, premium eyepiece, you should consider a Delos - you won't be disappointed! Lessons learned from the tremendously successful Ethos series were applied to develop this long eye-relief, 72° apparent field of view eyepiece line.
The Delos 10mm for a standard 1.25" barrel diameter making it suitable for almost any telescope or even bino-viewers!
Tele Vue Delos 10mm - Specifications
- Model # EDL-10.0
- Focal Length 10mm
- Barrel Size 1.25"
- Apparent Field of View 72°
- Eye Relief 20mm
- Weight 408g
- Field Stop 12.7mm
Background:
In 2011 Tele Vue introduced the Delos, mid-to-short focal length line of 20mm eye-relief, 72° apparent field of view eyepieces. Every optical, mechanical, and ergonomic aspect was rethought to achieve reference-standard performance for any visual application.
The Delos was conceived as a narrower field Ethos. Reducing the field to 72° allowed freedom to increase eye-relief, while controlling pupil aberrations, all without making the eyepiece too large. With Ethos performance standards as benchmarks, the Delos design achieves full field sharpness, virtually perfect f θ (theta) distortion mapping, and color neutrality. Image fidelity is maximized utilizing glass matched multicoatings and anti-reflection surfaces throughout the eyepiece.
Contrast is further enhanced with a new, continuously adjustable height eyeguard system that can be locked in any position. Since the Delos eye-lens measures a quite large 35mm in diameter, preventing stray light from reflecting off the first surface and extraneous light from entering your eye pays off in a nice increase in perceived contrast. The eyeguard's sliding action allows for positioning the soft rubber eyeguard at the ideal height to suit the observer's preference. Indicator marks on the eyepiece body are handy reference guides for setting your perfect position. The eye-guard can also rotate for Dioptrx users.

Reviews
Sky & Telescope Hot New Product for 2012 Award
More Than Expected (Delos 6 and 10mm)
And while the 20 mm of eye relief make them attractive for those was observe wearing eyeglasses, it was the "distinctly pleasurable" observing experience that most impressed our reviewer. When it comes to eyepiece design, The Delos seems to have hit all the sweet spots.
— Editors. "Hot New Products for 2012". Sky & Telescope (January 2012). p.39.
Excerpt from ATT review of Delos 6- & 10-mm eyepieces:
Wide-Field Eyepieces That Pack a Planetary Punch
With the Delos, the eyepiece simply "disappears" and allows the observer to observe. I could find nothing whatsoever to complain about; the "twist and tighten" eye relief adjustment feature is the best I've ever seen in any eyepiece, and the optics are essentially perfect. Tele Vue somehow always finds a way to continuously improve upon their eyepieces and the Delos is certainly no exception. Bottomline: If you're in the market for a planetary eyepiece, you owe it to yourself to consider the Tele Vue Delos.
— Erik Wilcox. "Tele Vue Delos". Astronomy Technology Today (Nov-Dec 2011). Full Review.
Review of the 6mm & 10mm Delos from Astronomy Magazine, December 2011
- Contrast was excellent - right up there with some of the best planetary eypeices I've ever used.
- I searched but saw no internal reflections or scattering in either eyepiece.
- The flat field the Delos eyepieces produce really made star fields pop. Open clusters epitomized the old standard "diamonds on velvet". Stars on and off axis showed no sign of astigmatism.
- Tele Vue has constructed an eyepiece that stands with the best deep-sky and planetary eyepieces on the market.
- — Trusock, Tom. "Astronomy tests Tele Vue's new eyepiece line". Astronomy Magazine (December 2011). Full Review.
Excerpts from Sky & Telescope, June 2011, review of Delos eyepieces:
WHAT WE LIKE:
Essentially perfect optics
"Immersive" observation experience
WHAT WE DON'T LIKE:
I spent several nights viewing the Moon, Saturn, stars and nebulae with a variety of telescopes … .
The Delos eyepieces are "easy to look through … . They have flat fields, delivering absolute pinpoint stars from edge to edge with no hint of color aberration. The view, especially during the daytime, is very pure with no noticeable color tint. And there wasn't a hint of ghosts or reflections, even with the brightest stars".
"What caught me a bit off guard, however, was something that's best described as the observing experience. It was distinctly pleasurable."
"I have the sensation of looking out of a circular window rather than into an eyepiece."
— di Cicco, Dennis. "Tele Vue's New Delos Eyepieces". Sky & Telescope (June 2011). p. 58, 59.

The whole sky. 840 grams.
A precision astro camera, an automatic tracking mount, and an intelligent control system in a body that weighs just 840g. Point, shoot, and the universe is yours.
Fits in a daypack. Reaches deep space.
At 840g the DWARF mini is the lightest smart telescope made. It rides in a camera bag and sets up on any flat surface. Backyard, lakeside, or a dark-sky site two hours from town, it goes wherever the clear weather is.
This is not a simplified telescope. It is a whole new way to explore the universe.
From bag to first image in three minutes.
Power on, connect your phone, pick a target. The mount finds north, focuses, and locks on by itself. There is no polar scope to align and no star charts to learn before you shoot.
It finds the target, then keeps it.
Tap an object and the DWARF mini slews to it, focuses with precision autofocus, and tracks it across the sky. Plate-solving checks its own aim against the real star field, so framing stays accurate all session.
90-second frames with round stars.
Switch to EQ mode and the mount compensates for Earth's rotation. You get longer single exposures with no trailing and no cropping, which means cleaner signal on faint nebulae and galaxies.
Cut city glow without bolting on glass.
An internal wheel carries a dark-frame filter, a 430–690 nm astro filter, and a dual-narrowband Hα / O III filter. The narrowband filter pulls nebula detail out of moonlit and light-polluted skies.
Frame any angle you like.
The lens barrel turns 225° and the gimbal rotates a full 360° without stops. Compose by hand, in the app, or with the on-screen joystick, and track a target from any perspective you choose.
A finished image in about three seconds.
Stellar Studio runs inside the app. It corrects star points, removes noise, and lifts nebula detail with a single tap. No laptop and no paid software needed to share a clean result.
A Sony IMX662 at the heart of it.
The 1/2.8-inch IMX662 sensor uses large 2.9μm pixels to gather light cleanly with low noise. RAW capture preserves every bit of detail for editing, so faint deep-sky structure survives the stretch from data to finished photo.
The cosmos, finally within reach.
The Milky Way, the Moon, the Sun, star trails, and deep-sky nebulae. One small instrument, a different target every clear night.
Two lenses. Find fast, frame tight.
A wide-angle lens locks on targets quickly and captures the Milky Way and star trails. The telephoto lens then takes over: a 30mm f/5 optic with six apochromatic elements and 1,016mm full-frame equivalent reach for sharp, close detail.
Set the target and walk away.
Schedule a session and let it run unattended. The mini collects and stacks frames on its own, so you can wake up to a finished image of Andromeda already sitting in the gallery.
Build one image across many nights.
The mini merges exposures gathered on different nights into a single deeper result. Every clear evening adds signal, so a faint galaxy keeps improving over a week instead of one short session.
Dark, bias, and flat fields, handled.
Capture proper calibration frames in the app to remove sensor noise, vignetting, and dust shadows. This is the step that takes a shot from captured to captured correctly, and the mini automates it.
Keep the good frames, drop the rest.
Wind gusts and passing cloud spoil the odd frame. Review each one and remove it before stacking, so only clean, well-aligned data makes it into the final image.
Catch the rare moments too.
The mini handles far more than nebulae. Shoot ISS transits across the Sun and Moon, solar and lunar eclipses, and stitch wide-field mosaics that reach well beyond a single frame.
Take the RAW data as far as you like.
Beginners get a finished image in the app. Experienced imagers can export RAW files to Photoshop, Siril, or PixInsight for full manual control. The mini grows with your skills rather than capping them.
Made to explore, and to share.
Never a one-trick instrument.
The Milky Way, the Sun, the Moon, star trails, and deep-sky nebulae are all within reach. Each clear night is a new subject, so the mini stays interesting long after the first image.
Sign your work before you share.
Add a personal watermark and caption to every image straight from the app. Post a finished shot to social media with a tag that is unmistakably yours.
Build a bigger sky together.
Team up with friends or a local astronomy group to piece together a vast deep-sky mosaic. Several minis can contribute frames to one shared, larger image.
Track your progress as you go.
Unlock collectible starry achievement badges as your skills grow, from Star Trails Explorer to Nebula Hunter and Milky Way Catcher. Share an achievement poster to mark each milestone.
Weighs just 840g, the lightest and most portable smart telescope available.
30mm f/5 telephoto with 1,016mm full-frame equivalent reach and six apochromatic elements.
Sony IMX662 sensor with 2.9μm pixels and RAW capture for low-noise detail.
Equatorial mode enables 90-second exposures with no star trailing.
Built-in triple filter, including a dual-narrowband Hα / O III filter for light-polluted skies.
7000mAh battery for around four hours, 64GB onboard storage, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
Automatic GoTo, autofocus, and plate-solving track and frame targets for you.
Also doubles as a daytime instrument for birdwatching, wildlife, and scenic viewing.
Every number that matters.
A real observatory, small enough to carry.

Farpoint Magnetic Bag Weight (1.5lb)
Often, if you have many accessories mounted, you need counterweights to balance the OTA of your Dobsonian telescope.
Farpoint’s magnetic bag weight (1.5lb) sticks securely to the steel OTA of many solid tube Dobsonians and is perfect for making fine balance adjustments.
The Cordura bag contains 1.5 pounds of lead shot heat-sealed in plastic. The extra strong Neodymium magnets allow you to place the weight exactly where you need it to perfectly balance your Dobsonian.
If you need more weight, you can add Farpoint’s FZ300 and FP315 stainless steel counterweights. But with or without additional steel weights, you will find that the FBW1.5 magnetic bag weight is perfect for making fine balance adjustments.
When you swap the eyepiece you are using for an eyepiece of different weight, just slide the FBW1.5 up or down on your OTA to restore your perfect balance!

Celestron has reinvented the Dobsonian telescope with StarSense Explorer—the first Dobsonian that uses your smartphone to analyze the night sky and calculate its position in real-time. This large-aperture Celestron StarSense Explorer is ideal for serious beginners, thanks to the app's user-friendly interface and detailed tutorials. It's like having your own personal tour guide of the night sky. The large aperture will ensure that you won’t outgrow the telescope as you continue on in your astronomical adventures.
Dock, Launch, Explore
Leave complicated star charts, imprecise planetarium apps, and computerized mounts behind. With StarSense Explorer, locating objects has never been easier, faster, or more accurate. Within minutes of setting up the telescope, you'll be navigating the sky with confidence. Simply place your phone in the unique StarSense dock and launch the StarSense Explorer app.
After aligning your phone to the telescope's optics (a quick and easy procedure), StarSense Explorer generates a list of celestial objects currently visible. Make your selection and arrows appear on-screen, guiding you as you move the telescope. When the object is ready to view in the eyepiece, the bullseye turns green. As you observe, listen to hundreds of audio descriptions and view detailed information about thousands of objects within the app’s robust database.
High-Quality Altazimuth Base
An ultra-stable Dobsonian base provides a sturdy foundation for StarSense Explorer. It features large diameter altitude bearings with variable tensioning, Teflon azimuth bearings, and braces on the side panels for extra stability (unlike most 8” Dobsonian bases). The altitude bearings provide a smooth up-and-down motion while the integrated altitude "brake" system allows you to adjust the tension along the altitude axis for smoothest motion even with slight imbalances. The panning knob on the telescope tube provides an ergonomic grip so you can precisely point the telescope without introducing heat from your hands into the optical system. As celestial objects appear to drift across the night sky, you'll be able to easily follow them with minor adjustments to the telescope’s position.
Dazzling Views with High-Quality Optics
With a large 8" Newtonian reflector optical tube, this telescope has enough light-gathering ability to bring out impressive detail in celestial objects while remaining remarkably portable. You can expect sharp, bright views of Jupiter's four Galilean moons, its cloud bands and Great Red Spot, the rings of Saturn, the gaseous glow of the Orion Nebula, dust lanes in the Lagoon Nebula, and our neighbor galaxy, Andromeda. Compared to the StarSense Explorer DX 130 AZ, the 8" Dobsonian has 240+% more light gathering area, providing better views of faint objects.
All mirror surfaces are coated with our XLT optical coatings to visibly increase contrast and light throughput for brighter views. With XLT, you'll be able to discern subtle details while viewing the Moon and planets, as well as faint galaxies and nebulae. The mirrors are made of low-expansion optical glass, which helps ensure the best images under changing environmental conditions.
This telescope also comes with a high-quality 2” Crayford focuser. The Crayford design provides precise and smooth movements without focus shifting. It also includes a 2” to 1.25” adapter and a 2” extension tube, so you can use virtually any 1.25” or 2” telescope eyepiece with your StarSense Explorer Dobsonian. The focuser also features a thumbscrew so you can lock in the sharpest focus.
Perfect for the City or Dark Sky Sites
Even if you live in a light-polluted city location, the Celestron StarSense Explorer 8” Dobsonian is advanced enough to easily pick out Jupiter, Saturn, open star clusters like the Pleiades, double stars like Alberio, the Orion Nebula, Andromeda Galaxy, and more of the best and brightest celestial objects.
But if you can take the telescope to an even slightly darker location, more objects will become visible. With this 8" Dobsonian and relatively dark skies, hundreds of fascinating objects are well within your reach.
Transporting your StarSense Explorer Dobsonian is easy thanks to the ergonomic carry handles located at the balance point of the tube and base. Dust covers are also included for the front of the tube and the focuser.
Smartphone Compatibility
Celestron StarSense Explorer works with most modern smartphones, including iPhone 6 and up, and most devices running Android 7.1.2 or later manufactured since 2016. For a complete compatibility list, click here.
Patented StarSense Sky Recognition Technology
StarSense Explorer uses patented technology and your smartphone to determine exactly where the telescope is pointed in the night sky. A Lost in Space Algorithm (LISA), like the ones satellites use in orbit to correctly orient themselves, helps the app match star patterns it detects overhead to its internal database.
While other astronomy apps may claim that they can help you find objects, they rely exclusively on the phone's gyros and accelerometers, which aren't as accurate as LISA technology. No other app can accurately tell you when your target is visible in the eyepiece.
Enhance Your Setup
Keep your phone charged all night while exploring with your StarSense Explorer by adding the PowerTank Glow 5000 to your must-have accessories (sold separately). This 2-in-1 accessory was made with the StarSense Explorer Dobs in mind, it has a red flashlight PLUS a USB power bank for charging mobile devices in the field. Connect the PowerTank Glow 5000 to the two posts at the front of the StarSense Explorer dock with the included bands so it is held in a convenient location for charging your smartphone while in use.

Introduced at the 2007 Northeast Astronomy Forum, Tele Vue once again broadened the amateur astronomer's perspective on the universe with: 100° of pure Tele Vue quality. The field area of this new eyepiece is more than 50% larger than an 82° field. The Tele Vue Ethos is essentially multiple eyepieces, delivering the true field size of a longer focal length, narrower apparent field eyepiece with the benefits of higher power and darker sky background.
We invited NEAF attendees to take a look and see the universe the way we think it was meant to be experienced, with a field of view incredibly wide and sharp! We were very pleased indeed by the response and validation of our design goals.

Nagler Type 6
The 7-element, Nagler Type 6 design is based on the original patented Nagler design. This new 7-element design update for the short focal length Nagler deserves its own designation. Using different exotic materials, coating processes and design ingenuity, Al has massaged more eye-relief, contrast, and true field of view into the shorter focal length Naglers, while maintaining the absolute sharpness of the originals. Eye-relief is 12mm on each model, and all are sized about the same as the original 7mm! Weight about 0.4 to 0.5 lbs.
Concept: The goal we set designing these new eyepieces was to increase contrast, maintain or increase eye-relief, reduce size and weight, and maintain the sharpness of the originals. They are all parfocal and great with the Bino Vue.
Why Are There 4 Types of Naglers?
To achieve various features requires different design tradeoffs and thus the different types of Nagler eyepieces. The largest possible true fields of view for an 82°' apparent field of view in both 2" and 1¼" formats are achieved with the Nagler Type 5 series, with focal lengths of 31 and 16 mm
Compact size in medium to short focal lengths is achieved with the Nagler Type 6, available in focal lengths of 13, 11, 9, 7, 5, and 3.5 mm.
To achieve eyeglass friendly eye relief without excessively large and heavy designs requires the other two Nagler types. The 22mm Type 4 and 19, 14, 9, 5.5 mm Type 7 with their long eye relief feature adjustable height eyeguards and are best for eyeglass wearers or Dioptrx™ users.

DDR Memory Buffer
The ASI183 Pro camera includes a 256MB DDR3 memory buffer to help improve data transfer reliability. Additionally, the use of a memory buffer minimizes amp-glow, which is caused by the slow transfer speeds when the camera is used with a USB 2.0 port.
DDR memory buffer is the main difference between ASI “Cool” and “Pro” cameras.
Astrophotography Performance
The ASI183 cameras has a very large full well capacity(15000e) for such small pixel size, 1.6e read noise @ 30DB, and 12stops dynamic range @ Gain=0. The ASI183 cameras also utilize firmware features to minimize amplifier glow for maximum performance in astrophotography.
ASI183 Pro has same mechanics as ASI1600 Pro. There are four screws that seal the sensor chamber. Our camera design has been extensively tested and is very stable.
Even when used in higher humidity environments, ASI183 Pro will still work fine without dew problems.
High Speed
Fast FPS can be used in solar and lunar imaging, as well as for live viewing/EAA.The high speed readout may also be used for real-time focusing, true lucky imaging of double stars and other small objects, planetary imaging of the major planets in the solar system, and much more.

At just over 4 inches in diameter and a few inches thick (IMX585), the new miniCAM8 is a compact, high-resolution, high-performance, cooled imaging system capable of exceptional, high-quality deep space images as well as high-quality, high-resolution planetary images.
So often, compactness in astro-imaging is achieved at the expense of some other critical feature found in multi-component cooled systems, such as sensor quality or thermoelectric cooling, etc. Such is not the case with the new miniCAM8. Based on Sony’s IMX585 8 MP sensor, the miniCAM8 includes full TE cooling capable of reaching a delta of -45℃ from ambient along with a built-in 8-position filter wheel for complete LRGB and narrowband imaging.
High Near-Infrared Sensitivity
The IMX585 is a Sony Starvis II processor that enables high sensitivity and high dynamic range (HDR). It also improves sensitivity in the near-infrared range by approximately 1.7 times* compared to the IMX485. The new camera miniCAM8 has a maximum quantum efficiency of 60% in the near-infrared band and 92% in the visible wavelength band.

BSI
One benefit of the back-illuminated CMOS structure is improved full-well capacity. This is particularly helpful for sensors with small pixels. In a typical front-illuminated sensor, photons from the target entering the photosensitive layer of the sensor must first pass through the metal wiring that is embedded just above the photosensitive layer. The wiring structure reflects some of the photons and reduces the efficiency of the sensor.
In the back-illuminated sensor, the light is allowed to enter the photosensitive surface from the reverse side. In this case, the sensor’s embedded wiring structure is below the photosensitive layer. As a result, more incoming photons strike the photosensitive layer, and more electrons are generated and captured in the pixel well. This ratio of photon to electron production is called quantum efficiency. The higher the quantum efficiency, the more efficient the sensor is at converting photons to electrons, and hence the more sensitive the sensor is to capturing an image of something dim.
Zero Amplify Glow
miniCAM8 is also a zero amplifer glow camera.
Anti-Dew Technology
Based on almost 20-year cooled camera design experience, the QHY cooled camera has implemented the fully dew control solutions. The optic window has a built-in dew heater, and the chamber is protected from internal humidity condensation. An electric heating board for the chamber window can prevent the formation of dew, and the sensor itself is kept dry with our silicon gel tube socket design for control of humidity within the sensor chamber.
Cooling
In addition to dual-stage TE cooling, QHYCCD implements proprietary technology in hardware to control the dark current noise.

What is Dobsonian Telescope and Why the Tension Control Handle?
A simple, elegant form of an alt-azimuth mount made to carry a Newtonian reflector was popularized by John Dobson in the late 1970's. The Dobsonian mounted telescope is popular among amateur astronomers and telescope makers because of its simplicity. In its simplest form, the Dobsonian mount consists of a box which allows the optical tube assembly to pivot in altitude, while the box itself is swivelled on a base in azimuth.
The Dobsonian mount usually relies on the friction between the side bearings on the optical tube of the telescope and a frictional material on the saddle to hold the optical tube in place. If there is too much friction, the telescope is difficult to move to center an object in the filed of view. If there is too little friction, the telescope will not sty where it is positioned. This makes stabilizing the optical tube of the telescope difficult when using a Dobsonian mount, especially when accessories, such as a finderscope or an eyepiece, are added to the optical tube. As long as the amount of friction is at an appropriate level, and therefore stabilization of the optical tube is achieved, the telescope can remain in its desired position to view an object and maintain its position even when the mount is rotated.
The devices for stabilizing a telescope on the Dobsonian mount currently available include: a sliceable weight to counter balance the weight of the telescope, a friction lock that must be adjusted to inhibit movement of the telescope, and a spring attached between the telescope tube and mount to aid in stabilization.
These devices are inconvenient to use because they do not provide a simple and user-friendly way to adjust the friction. The objective of the saxon Tension Control Handle invention is to provide a tension adjuster that users can easily turn to add or reduce tension, thereby increasing or decreasing the friction between the optical tube and the sideboard of the mount.
By providing such a tension adjuster, the telescope does not need to be balanced in order to stay in position. The tension adjuster can be tightened such that the optical tube can stay in a position but can still be moved when prompted to adjust the position of the optical tube. Alternatively, the tension adjuster can be completely tightened to lock the optical tube in position.

Losmandy VUP14 is designed to work with any mount that uses the 46mm Vixen Style Saddle.
These dovetail plates and accessories are the same dimensions as the Vixen type dovetail. Vixen style dovetail bars may be mounted to the top and bottom of tube assembly for mounting of all V series accessories, making it possible to use both sides of tube for equipment. The unthreaded holes and slots are countersunk on the underside to hold socket head machine screws. There are 24 holes and 4 slots so there's nothing that cannot be mounted to these dovetails.
The dovetail plates, like all accessories in the Losmandy line, are machined for lightness and rigidity from aluminium stock, then black anodized for a tough, corrosion free surface.

What accessories do I need to go with my telescope?
This is a question we get asked every day! We've put together some of our favourite accessories as the BINTEL Observer's Kit #1.
Included are:
BINTEL Plossl 32mm
Lower magnification brings a wider field of view. Some wonderful astro objects in the night sky such as large nebulae and star clusters might not fit into the eyepiece at higher magnifications. They'll need a wider view to see them in their fullest detail.
2x Barlow Lens with T-Adaptor
A Barlow lens effectively changes the focal length of each eyepiece. You insert the Barlow into your telescope and then your eyepiece into the Barlow. This doubles the magnification of each of your eyepieces. Your 10mm eyepiece becomes a 5mm, your 25mm a 12.5mm and so on. It's a quick and effective way of making your telescope more versatile.
This Celestron Barlow also had a T-Adaptor thread. If you have a DSLR camera, simply buy the matching low-cost T-ring for your camera body type (Nikon, Canon etc) here and this can be used to attach a DSLR to your telescope.
Celestron Night Vision Red Torch - RRP $29.95
Why do astronomers use red torches?
No matter the size of the telescope you're using, what's seen through the telescope will be faint. Luckily, our eyes get used to low light after spending a short time in the dark. It takes about 30-40 minutes for us to become "dark adapted". Our eyes are then some 10,000 to 1,000,000 more sensitive to light compared to when we're in full daylight.
(Needless to say, our eyes become less sensitive in the dark as we age and take longer to adapt....
This is something we're all used to seeing. At low light, our sight moves from full colour to black and white as different parts of our eyes become active. This dark adaption or night vision is especially important when observing at night. The problem is that even a short burst of white light from a car headlight, an outdoor light or a normal torch can "reset" dark adapted eyes and you need to start the entire process of adapting to the dark all over again.
It's easy to avoid the loss of night vision by using a low intensity red light. This Celestron Night Vision Red Torch lets you adjust your telescope, red maps and book or even attach cameras - all without losing your night vision. Many experienced astronomers will tell you their red lights are some their most used and handiest accessories in their observing toolkit!
Celestron Moon Filter RRP $19.95- yes, I wear my Sunglasses at Night
A Moon filter simply reduces intensity to make the Moon easier to observe. With glare reduced, you'll also be able to pick out the finer details on the Lunar surface. This Celestron Moon Filter screws into the base of all 1.25" eyepieces.
Observer's Map of the Moon - RRP $19.95
This is a handy fold out, two-sided map of the Moon.
You can observe features with your telescope and locate them on the map or vice versa. This map also features a directory of all the key lunar regions with coordinates to find them.
On the reverse side of the map, there are close-up photos and information about the most exciting lunar regions to explore. You’ll also find images of the North and South polar regions for reference. Refer to the lunar observing tips for practical information about using your telescope or binoculars to explore the Moon.
The Observer’s Map of the Moon is waterproof, tear-resistant, and can be folded into an 20cm x 10cm size, making it easy to take along on your next camping trip, star party, or evening in your backyard. When not in use, the Moon map will be a stylish decorative poster on your wall. It makes a great display for your classroom or astronomy club.
