- Nitrogen-Filled, Water and Fogproof
- Reinforced Polycarbonate Housing
- Center Focusing
- Tripod Mountable
- Twist-Up Eyecups
Designed for the nature enthusiast who wants to pack light without sacrificing image quality, the Pentax 8x25 A-Series AD WP Compact Binocular delivers bright, clear images while weighing in at around 300g. Their BAK4 roof prisms are phase corrected to improve image contrast and enhance colour rendition. All of the optics are anti-reflection and fully multi-coated to maximize light transmission, producing the brightest views possible.
An asymmetrical hinge design enables the binocular to be folded up much smaller than typical centre-hinged optics. In order to cut weight, the housing is made of corrosion- and impact-resistant fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate polymer. The material is also temperature resistant, allowing for its use in extreme climates while reducing expansion and contraction that wide temperature swings can cause (and which can make the optical components move out of collimation over time).

These new models of RC secondary mirror dew heaters from Kendrick address the ever-changing secondary mirror designs found on RC style telescopes made over the last decade. Easy to install and no need to disassemble the mirror assembly.
Heater sizes are based on the diameter of the secondary mirror shroud. To determine the correct size, simply measure the outside diameter of the mirror shroud and find the model that comes closest to the measurement you made.
Tech Specs:
Our most recent research found that primary mirror size tends to have secondary mirror sizes as shown below, but you should still take your own measurement to be certain.
To make heater installation easier, the heater wire leads have been divided into two segments. Each segment has small quick connectors installed onto them. The wire leads out of the heater are 6” (150mm) long. Once the heater is properly secured to the mirror shroud the second wire segment in connected to leads coming from the heater. This is a 12" (350mm) extension which is routed across one of the spider vanes. This extension wire terminates in a female RCA plug, which then connects to a 2.5' (750mm) Kendrick Cold-Flex extension cable (included) that then connects to your Dew Controller. The total length of all wires/entension is 4' (1,220mm).

The night sky, at f/2.2.
The smallest Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph ever built. Ultra-fast prime-focus optics, sub-arcsecond resolution and 3.8 kg of grab-and-go portability for serious deep-sky astrophotography, anywhere.
Professional optics. In a body you can carry with one hand.
Patented Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt architecture.
The RASA places the camera at prime focus, the same position used by professional wide-field survey telescopes. No secondary mirror, no Barlow, no lost light. More photons reach your sensor, in less time.
Since RASA technology debuted in 2014, defence contractors, professional researchers and governments have relied on it for space surveillance and satellite tracking. The RASA 6 delivers that same proven design in a portable package.
- Schmidt corrector plate and primary mirror minimise optical aberrations across the field
- Three-element rare-earth glass lens group ensures sharp, flat focus edge-to-edge
- Spot size under 1.5 μm RMS across the full image circle
NGC 6888. The Crescent Nebula.
Captured with the RASA 6 and an astronomical CMOS camera. Short sub-exposures stack into stunning images in a fraction of the time needed by slower instruments.
Four reasons it’s unlike anything else in its class.
Speed, resolution, portability and field of view, all engineered into one compact prime-focus astrograph.
Lightning-fast astrophotography at f/2.2.
The RASA 6’s blazing focal ratio dramatically shortens sub-exposure times. Faint deep-sky objects that would take hours with a typical refractor can be captured in a fraction of that time. Paired with live-stacking software, bright detailed images appear on your screen in just minutes. In many conditions you can image without an autoguider, simplifying your entire setup.
Sub-arcsecond potential.
Despite its compact size the 152 mm aperture delivers a Dawes resolution of 0.76 arc seconds. Pair it with a high-resolution CMOS camera in steady seeing and you will resolve fine structure in galaxies, nebulae and star clusters that smaller instruments cannot touch. The flat field means stars stay sharp from the centre all the way to the corner of the sensor.
Grab-and-go, genuinely.
At 3.8 kg the RASA 6 is light enough to carry with one hand and fits in a bag alongside your mount. The CG-5 dovetail means it drops straight onto most mid-range tracking mounts without adapters. Chase dark skies without compromising on optical performance. This is the astrograph you will actually take with you.
Wide field without sacrifice.
The RASA 6 is designed for sensors up to 22 mm diagonal, delivering a useable field of 3.76°. Wide enough to frame the Orion Nebula, the Pleiades and large emission nebulae in a single shot. Off-axis illumination of 91% at 8 mm means the field stays bright from edge to edge, reducing processing time on flats and vignette correction.
StarBright XLT. Maximum light throughput.
Every refractive and reflective surface is treated with Celestron’s proprietary StarBright XLT multi-layer coating. The result is exceptional light transmission and superior field illumination across the full wavelength range from 400 to 700 nm.
The RASA design outperforms a Schmidt-Cassegrain in Fastar-style configuration for field illumination. Less vignette, less processing, more imaging.
M42. The Orion Nebula.
IMX183C colour CMOS camera. 60 × 2 min exposures plus 20 × 15 sec exposures for the bright core. The wide field and fast optics of the RASA 6 capture the full extent of the nebula in a single frame.
Everything the modern astroimager needs, integrated.
A filter drawer, a cooling fan, a camera adapter and a CG-5 dovetail. Ready to image, straight out of the box.
1.25″ and 2″ filters. Without slowing you down.
The built-in filter drawer accepts both 1.25″ and 2″ filters. A removable 2″ clear optical window ships as standard. Unlike many fast astrographs, swapping in a filter adds no extra glass to the optical path, so f/2.2 performance is fully preserved.
Thermal equilibrium, fast.
The integrated 12V DC MagLev fan pulls air through mesh vents to rapidly cool the optical system to ambient temperature. Sharper stars and better images from the moment you start. The fan battery pack is included.
Plug a CMOS camera straight in.
The included M42 T-thread camera adapter attaches most popular astronomical CMOS cameras directly to the RASA 6 without extension tubes. The 42 mm clear aperture comfortably accommodates sensors up to 22 mm diagonal. Back focus with the included adapter is 17.5 mm.
Mount-ready, no adapters.
The CG-5 dovetail bar is compatible with a wide range of tracking mounts straight out of the box. No adapters, no Vixen-to-Losmandy conversions. Ready to image as soon as you saddle up. For maximum performance, add the optional Celestron Focus Motor for electronic focus control.
Results from the RASA 6.
Sample images taken with the RASA 6 and an IMX183C colour CMOS camera at f/2.2.

Professional optics. Portable by design.
The same prime-focus optical technology trusted by defence contractors and professional researchers, now in a grab-and-go package built for serious Australian astrophotographers. Backed by Bintel’s 40 years of expert optics support.
Introducing the New ZWO EAF 5V , this electronic focuser, like its previous version, enables precise, dynamic focus control for planetary and deep-sky imaging, while only connected with 5V USB.
No more need for independent 12v Power when it can run from a USB power source.
Features:
- Highly integrated design
- Support ASCOM platform and various ASCOM-compatible third-party software
- Support INDI
- Support original software such as ASIAIR and ASIStudio
- Support automatic focusing for DSO imaging
- Support handle controller and manual focusing
- Support temperature sensor
- USB HID device and drive-free
- Stable and durable
Compared to its old version, the main change of ZWO EAF V5 is to remove the 12V power supply port. Now you can directly connect it to your camera, laptop or ASIAIR PRO via the USB 2.0 port & cable for both data transmission and power supply. This would not only make the cable management much easier, also effectively reduce the supply pressure.
The innovative decorative pattern on the EAF is inspired by the changes of Airy disk during focusing and the focusing curve, which makes it clear at a glance how this focuser works.
There are two variants of the ZWO EAF V5:
Advanced Version: EAF body, flexible coupling, motor bracket, USB2.0 cable, hand controller, temperature sensor.
The hand controller provides an easy method of focusing the telescope, featuring IN and OUT buttons, a 2-line display, slow and fast speed rate control.
A “must-have” option for EAF users!
Support list:
SkyWatcher Astrophotography Reflectors, SkyWatcher Black Diamond, SkyWatcher Dobsonians, SkyWatcher Maksutov-Newtonians.

Do your eyepieces or cameras get close to (but not quite at) the correct focus with your focuser racked all the way out? If so, an Extension Tube 35mm will help.
Slips into 1.25 inch focusers or diagonals, providing a 35mm extension and allowing eyepieces to come to focus. These sorts of focusing problems are most common in telescopes configured for photography.
Bintel extension tubes are threaded on the bottom to take 1.25″ filters. They additionally feature brass compression rings to prevent eyepiece barrel damage.
An extension tube can also be used for increasing image scale when doing projection photography.

Pixfra Mile 2 Thermal Monocular: creating new pathways for birding and conservation
Thermal imaging is changing the way we observe and count birds in their natural environment - at all times of the day or night, without intrusive lighting or disturbance.
Any birder knows there's often times when birds are hidden from view, either by foliage or the time of day. It becomes even more frustrating when bird counts are needed to estimate population or species locations for conservation efforts and protection and they simply can't be properly seen.
In situations like this, no matter how powerful the binoculars you're using, the birds will remain hidden.
Thermal imaging devices lets you "see" birds via the heat their bodies produce - revealing them in bushes and trees or when there's simply not enough natural light otherwise.

Astronomical camera with large full well capacity
ASI585MM
ASI585MC adopts Sony IMX585 CMOS sensor. As one of ZWO's latest planetary cameras, it features a large sensor format of 1/1.2", a high resolution of 3840*2160, and a surprisingly amazing characteristic of ZERO AMP GLOW! The pixel size is 2.9um*2.9um. In 12-bit mode, it produces 46.9 FPS with super low readout noise!
8.29MP Senor
ASI585MM has the same pixel size of the ASI462MC at 2.9um, but its resolution is 4 times that of ASI462MC, which is a total of 8.29 megapixels. The sensor size is 11.13*6.26mm, and the diagonal length is 12.84mm. The 1/1.2" large sensor format makes it very suitable for solar and lunar imaging. It can also be used as an all-sky camera or live camera to observe and monitor cloud cover, rain, meteors and other weather conditions. STARVIS 2
ASI585MM adopts the Latest SONY IMX585 sensor with STARVIS 2 technology. Featuring zero amp glow, lower dark current noise, and 3 times larger full well capacity, this camera is regarded as an upgrade of ASI485MC. It is also more sensitive to red, green and near infrared (NIR) lights compared to ASI485MC, especially in >850nm wavelength range, its light sensitivity is 1.5 times greater than ASI485MC. Upgraded Model
The ASI585MM is an upgraded camera to the ASI485. Compared with the ASI485MC, it has the characteristics of a larger full well depth and no amp glow. Large Full Well Depth
Thanks to the back-illuminated sensor structure and advanced pixel technology, the camera has very low readout noise and a large full well depth. Especially in low light conditions, the camera performs excellent, capturing very clear images of celestial objects. Camera Curve
Low read noise, high dynamic range
The camera has a built-in HCG mode, which can effectively reduce readout noise at high gain and allow the camera to m
ASI585MC/MM Pro is a new ZWO deep sky camera based on the 4k SONY CMOS sensor with a 1/1.2″ format and 2.9μm pixels. It has a super high sensitivity and a large resolution of 3840*2160 (8.29MP in total). It also features high transmission speeds – In high-speed mode, the fast frame rate can reach 47fps with low read noise at full resolution! It also features a high SNR and high sensitivity, especially in near-infrared wavelength. Being an entry-level DSO camera, it offers great advantages of high cost-effectiveness.
Note:
External power supplies are needed for all ASl-cooled cameras. We recommend you use a 12V@3A~5A DC adapter (D5.5×2.1mm, center pole positive) or a lithium battery with 11-14V to power the camera. Be aware that using a power supply out of this voltage range will probably lead to irreparable damage to the camera.
Why Choose ASI585MC/MM Pro?
One Camera for All
The STARVIS 2 technology brings ASI585 Series more advanced imaging performance compared to other cooled cameras. Its high frame rate makes it not only suitable for DSO photography but also solar/lunar/planetary photography.
Large Full Well Capacity
The back-illuminated structure improves the camera’s full well capacity. Even with unbinned 2.9μm pixels, ASI585 Series has a full well capacity of 40ke-, nearly 3 times that of the last-generation sensor IMX485. A larger full well capacity gets the camera higher efficiency in collecting light, can effectively restrain the highlight area from being overexposed, and also can improve the signal-to-noise ratio.
Zero Amp Glow
ASI585 Series exhibits extremely clean dark frames with zero amp glow! No matter how long the exposure and how high the gain value is, you can easily get clean and smooth astro images!
Note: This feature is implemented directly at the hardware level, it does not require software control.
512MB DDR3
ASI585 Series uses a USB 3.0 interface, along with the built-in 512MB DDR3 cache, ensuring high-speed, smooth, and stable data transmission.
USB 3.0 Port & USB 2.0 HUB
USB 3.0 Port: Provides 5Gb bandwidth to allow ASI585 to run at 47fps at 8.29MP full resolution (10bit, high-speed mode).
USB 2.0 HUB: Can be used to connect various kinds of USB devices such as EFW, guide camera, and EAF.
Two-stage TEC Cooling
Thanks to the two-stage TEC cooling, ASI585 Series can lower the CMOS sensor temperature to more than 35 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature, which can greatly reduce dark current generation and sensor noise even during extended exposure times.
*The Delta T 35℃ is tested at 30℃ ambient temperature. It might get down when the cooling system is working for a long time. Also, as the ambient temperature falls, the Delta T would decrease.
Below is the dark current curve of ASI585 Series at the temperature from -20℃ to 30℃.
Low read noise, High dynamic range
The camera has a built-in HCG mode, which can effectively reduce read noise at high gain and allow the camera to maintain the same high dynamic range as it does at low gain.
When the gain reaches 252, the HCG mode will be automatically turned on and the dynamic range reaches a level close to 11bit. The read noise in this case can be as low as 0.7e.
QE (Quantum efficiency)
Based on our testing results, the QE peak value of ASI585 is 91%.

The PoleMaster is a great solution to this problem. The PoleMaster is an innovative product pioneered by QHYCCD to relieve the pain of polar alignment. Using PoleMaster and following a few simple, easy-to-follow, steps you can achieve perfect polar alignment in 2-3 minutes, with an accuracy of up to 30 arc seconds.
With PoleMaster, You don’t need to rotate the telescope to some uncomfortable position to keep the optical polar axis of the equatorial mount unobstructed. Also, you don’t need to squat down to look through the polar axis scope. You don’t need to turn off all the light sources to allow the naked eye to adapt to the darkness and look for the Polaris in the field of view. You also don’t need to enter the date and time and then rotate the equatorial mount to a strange angle, finally you don’t need to adjust the equatorial level. With the PoleMaster you can observe the alignment of the polar axis at any time, as well as continuously monitor the polar axis. When the equatorial mount moves inadvertently, you can also tune it back without having to redo everything.
The PoleMaster’s pixel resolution is approximately 30 arc seconds. The camera’s pixel matrix itself is a good ruler, so the accuracy it measures is much higher than the accuracy of the macroscopic lens. In the best case it can achieve an alignment accuracy of 30 arc seconds.
Wide Field of View: The electronic polar mirror has a large field of view of 11 degrees x 8 degrees, so it is easy to find the Polaris.
Once you have calibrated with a PoleMaster, you only need to perform a single-star sync (one-star calibration). This greatly facilitates the setup of an equatorial mount.
With a suitable adapter ring, the PoleMaster can be mounted to any equatorial mount. Even single-axis equatorial mounts that have no ability to correct in declination will benefit because with the PoleMaster, after the polar axis is aligned, the amount of drift in the declination direction will be very small, which can further improve the performance of such an equatorial mount.

Australian Bird Guide - Revised Edition
This Revised Edition includes updated maps, artwork and species accounts, reflecting current knowledge of the biology and distribution of Australia's birds. It features around 4700 specially commissioned colour illustrations of over 900 species, with particular emphasis on providing the fine detail required to identify difficult groups and distinctive plumages. Comprehensive species accounts have been written by a dedicated team of ornithologists to ensure identification details, distribution and status are current and accurate. A new easier-to-use index is also included.
The Australian Bird Guide sets a new standard in field guides, providing an indispensable reference for all birders and naturalists looking to explore Australia's magnificent and unique birdlife.
Audubon Bird Call:
The Audubon Bird Call invented by Roger Eddy in 1947 and still made by the Eddy family in Rhode Island USA. When twisted, this remarkable little birchwood and metal instrument makes a variety of sounds similar to wild birds. Each Audubon Bird Call is handmade and individually tuned, tending to work much better than standard "pishing".
It is the standard songbird call throughout the world and whilst it doesn't mimic a single specific bird, the sound it makes gets inquisitive birds to come in closer to check out the noise. In Australia, this works particularly well on honeyeaters, thornbills, fairy-wrens, emu-wrens, grasswrens, scrubwrens, gerygones, whistlers, and occasionally even Tyto owls will come in to check it out at night if you're quiet!
With reasonable care it should last a lifetime - just keep it dry. Can be carried in pocket, on a key ring, or worn on a lanyard.
The bird call's sound is produced by rotating the wooden cylinder against the cast zinc plug. By varying the pressure between the two surfaces while twisting back and forth, a variety of bird sounds can be accurately imitated. Originally conceived by songbird hunters in Europe, the bird call attracts birds by creating the illusion that other birds are in the area.
Recognised by multiple generations of birders and outdoors people, the Audubon Bird Call has been made and tuned by hand in the USA in the same way for over 60 years.
