Bintel UHTC Cleaning Solution
Our cleaning solution is the same solution as used in most optical labs worldwide. It is made using 99.7% Technical grade Isopropyl Alcohol, Blue Windex, Reverse Osmosis Water and Kodak Photoflow 200 (a wetting agent).
It is safe to use on coated optics including Corrector Plates, Objective lenses, Eyepieces, Binoculars, Filters, Camera Lenses and even your Spectacles
Method for cleaning Schmidt-Cassegrain Corrector Plates*
You should never attempt to remove the corrector plate. Cleaning of the Primary and Secondary mirrors can only be done in a workshop by trained technicians. Condensation in city areas will contain contaminates that can leave marks or spots on the corrector plate. Whilst they shouldn’t hurt the optics, it is nice for them to not be there. When telescopes are used away from the city, dust can be a problem. If the area you are in is dusty keep your covers on as long as possible. However, dust and marks on correctors are always going to happen. It is inevitable that fingerprints will somehow find there way onto your corrector plate. Fingerprints will damage the coatings and should be removed at first available opportunity.
- Be sure you hands are clean.
- First give the optical surface a good dusting with a hurricane blower or compressed air. This will remove any solid particles from the surface and prepare it for the next step.
- A fine hair brush can be used for getting into hard to reach places. This should be followed with another dusting with the hurricane blower.
- Take a sheet of soft, unscented tissue and lightly wet with a few drops of UHTC solution, best dispensed from a spray bottle.
- TAKE CARE NOT TO SATURATE THE TISSUE WITH LIQUID.
- Crumple the tissue up and WITHOUT APPLYING ANY PRESSURE wipe across the surface of the corrector plate.
- Discard the tissue and repeat this process until the whole of the corrector plate has been wiped clean.
- Crumple a dry soft, unscented tissue and gently wipe dry making sure not to use any pressure on the corrector plate.
- Your corrector plate will now be clean and ready for use again.
Instructions for Cleaning Coated Optics
*Bintel takes no responsibility for accidental damage to optics whilst employing the above method. If the steps are followed correctly, it is unlikely that you should have any issues.

ZWO IR cut filter 2 inch is suitable for colour camera with AR protect window.
The ZWO IR Cut Filter 2 inch blocks infrared light from reaching the sensor of your CCD or CMOS camera or your expensive H-alpha filter. When imaging, the addition of this simple and inexpensive accessory will result in sharper images, and when doing solar work, the IR Cut Filter will your protect H-alpha filter from the damaging effects of infrared radiation.
Infrared or IR light is invisible to the human eye, and so even though most telescopes are not designed to focus IR light, it does not matter when you are using your telescope visually. However, when you add a camera to the mix, its a whole other story! Unlike the human eye, a silicon sensor is very sensitive to light in the infrared portion of the spectrum, and that is a problem because infrared images are blurry as all get out. That means your nice, sharp visual light image is degraded by the addition of the infrared layer. This problem can easily be solved by blocking the infrared, and the ZWO IR Cut filter 2 inch will do just that.
The ZWO IR Cut filter is housed in a 2″ cell, and has internal threads so that you can stack filters together. The filter comes with a protective plastic case.
Name: IR-cut filter

The thickness of the anti-dew heater strip is 0.2~0.3mm.
The “Y” power cord is designed to connect in-line with the cooler power supply for convenience.
We recommend a DC adapter giving 12V at 0.35 A resulting in a heating power on the strip that is around 4.2 watts. You can use one and same power cord to power both the fan and heater simultaneously, but make sure not to exceed recommended amount of Ampere.
NOTE: for many ASI cameras a heater strip is not necessary since they have one that is built into the cameras themselves.
ASI071MC-P/ASI6200/ASI2600/ASI2400 cameras come with an anti-dew heater that will heat the protective glass to avoid any dew problems.
For ASI183/ASI1600/ASI294/ASI533 cameras, the heat emitting from the TEC will be conducted to the camera case and avoid any dew problems when TEC cooling system is working.
This kit includes the zip-tie, anti-dew heater strip , an Y power cord and two spacers:
How to use it?
1. Tear out the protective film on adhesive tape
3. Tie the black cable with a zip-tie on the camera body.
4. Plug in the power cord, then everything is done.
Now you should be dew-free while shooting with the camera.

Tele Vue TRG-1072 Overview
$5,249.00
Celestron CGX German Equatorial Mount and Tripod
Introducing the Celestron CGX Mount. For eight years, Celestron’s workhorse CGEM mount lineup has been the German Equatorial backbone for telescopes ranging from 6 to 11 inches of aperture. Since that time, many more astro-imagers and planetarium controlled setups have emerged as backyard telescope technology has evolved. Celestron’s engineering team applied their years of experience designing German Equatorial mounts to the Celestron CGX EQ, a culmination of all the advancements made to our technologies, value, and ease-of-use.
The Celestron CGX was designed to better support your telescope for both visual and astro-imaging pursuits. Key design goals included a lower profile EQ head, which provides a more compact and therefore more stable setup; a better drive system; remote operation-friendly with home and limit optical sensors; easier polar alignment adjustments; and better cable management. In addition to that, we’ve made mechanical and ergonomic improvements throughout to make the mount sturdier, easier to use, and transport. The CGX is Celestron's Equatorial backbone to support a wide range of telescopes.

Celestron Evolution 8 HD with StarSense
The NexStar Evolution keeps evolving. Evolution 8 HD pairs Celestron's best optics with their best technology to make an incredibly versatile and portable telescope system. Now, enjoy EdgeHD 8” optics and StarSense AutoAlign on the renowned Evolution mount, all controlled from your favourite tablet or phone.
With the innovative NexStar Evolution 8 HD, enjoy EdgeHD optics and controlling the telescope wirelessly with the SkyPortal app. Now equipped with StarSense AutoAlign, go-to alignment is done automatically once you tap “Connect and Align”! Observing, astro-imaging, and automatic wireless alignment are all bundled into a compact yet mechanically solid setup. This the most capable, easy-to-use and ready-for-action system we’ve ever offered.
When NexStar Evolution was introduced, it paired two of Celestron’s most acclaimed innovations, Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes and computerized go-to optics, in a compact single fork arm mount. The technology and optics continued to evolve over the years. On the technology side, we added StarSense AutoAlign for our go-to telescopes, as well as Wi-Fi telescope control with over our new SkyPortal app. With optics, EdgeHD flat-field and coma-free astro-imaging systems were made to accommodate modern imaging with cameras of all types, especially larger format CCD and DSLR cameras. Now all of these innovations have come together in one telescope package: The NexStar Evolution 8HD. The NexStar Evolution 8HD covers all bases for compact and easy to use, and is perfectly capable for any observing to astro-imaging pursuit.
STARSENSE AUTOALIGN IN SKYPORTAL APP
Tired of the tedious alignment procedures required by most modern computerised telescopes? Come to the future with Celestron's StarSense - your telescope will align itself to the heavens for you with the tap of a button on your smartphone, and in a few minutes will be ready to show you the universe!
StarSense not only automatically aligns itself from your smart device, it also has advanced mount modelling, allowing you enter up to 10 alignment points for the most precision pointing accuracy possible. Even the most advanced telescope users will love using StarSense AutoAlign through the app. This affordable accessory replaces the expensive software usually used for advanced mount modelling. With this built-in mount modelling, you'll get superior pointing accuracy from horizon to horizon. When your alignment needs to be perfect, add up to 10 additional calibration stars to achieve a new level of accuracy, great for locating objects in the camera’s field of view for astroimaging.
SUPERIOR FIT FOR ASTROIMAGING AND VISUAL ASTRONOMY
If you’re interested in astroimaging, the 8-inch NexStar Evolution HD is an excellent way to jump in.. It’s the only fork-mounted telescope in its price range that offers brass worm gears, along with improved motors. Tracking is great, and so too is the flat-field, coma-free EdgeHD optical system. You can capture images of deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula by simply attaching your DSLR camera. As you progress in the hobby of astroimaging, you can add a NexStar Evolution Wedge to achieve longer exposures for more detailed astrophotos.
Of course, the EdgeHD optical system offers bright, sharp views with StarBright XLT optical coatings—a great choice for visual observers and budding astroimagers alike.
NexStar Evolution is equipped with 4 auxiliary ports--2 on top of the fork and 2 on the bottom. A StarSense hand control is still included, but is not necessary when using NexStar Evolution with the app. The telescope also includes a StarPointer Pro finderscope, two 1.25” Plossl eyepieces, a 1.25” star diagonal, and an international AC adapter.

The hobby of amateur astronomy frequently takes the observer away from sources of AC power. After all, we are always in pursuit of the darkest skies possible, and that often means getting away from the city lights and going bush. The most common way to power your telescope in these situations is to use a commonly available, portable 12V battery pack or to use power from your car’s battery via the cigarette lighter.
The Celestron Car Battery Adapter is the accessory required for connecting any Celestron computerized telescope to a DC power supply or car battery. Plug the round post into the 12V input jack on the drive base of your telescope*, and insert the power connector into the cigarette lighter outlet in your car or on your power supply. The cord is 7.5m long, giving you plenty of reach between your telescope and 12V power source.
The barrel connector can be used with any telescope that uses a receptacle with an outside diameter of 5.5mm and an inner diameter of 2.1mm and a “tip positive” polarity.
*For use with the following telescopes:
- NexStar SLT Series
- NexStar GT Series
- CGEM Series
- CPC Series
- CPC Deluxe Series
- Advanced VX Series
