The telescope side of the Pyxis LE is a simple two-inch "push-fit" barrel. The long barrel adapter, just short of 2-1/2 inches, is easily inserted into any 2" focuser such as the Optec TCF-S Temperature Compensating Focuser. Combined with the TCF-S or TCF-Si, the Pyxis LE creates a focuser/rotator combination requiring less than 4-1/2 inches of back-focus.
The camera side of the Pyxis LE is a standard male T-thread. Any T-thread camera, filter wheel, off-axis guider, or industry standard T2 ring can screw directly on to the exit port of the Pyxis LE - no other adapters are required. All of the users existing accessories - T-thread spacers, off-axis guiders, filter wheels, etc. - can be attached directly. With the Pyxis LE, the confusion typically surrounding adapters is eliminated since the Pyxis LE is ready to use out-of-the-box. Simply attach your camera, slip into a 2-inch focuser, and you're ready to go.
The Pyxis LE is ideally suited for small, well-balanced cameras such as the QSI, Fish Camp, Starlight Xpress or SBIG ST-series CCD cameras. Canon and Nikon DLSR cameras will attach directly using an optional T2 bayonet ring. Optional T-thread extender rings can be added in 7.5 and 15mm lengths for additional offset to avoid filter wheel stepper motors such as with the SBIG CFW9.

Shoestring USB2 EQ6 Interface
Recent generations of Synta EQ-5 and EQ-6 mounts that use the SynScan handcontroller (such as the Skywatcher EQ6 Pro and NEQ6 and Skywatcher HEQ5 Pro) provide stable, quality GOTO mounts at affordable prices for observing and imaging.
However, the features available when they are interfaced to a personal computer are somewhat limited, primarily due to the type of data that is available through the handcontroller's serial interface.
Now, thanks to the efforts of several individuals, far more powerful features are made available by bypassing the handcontroller and communicating directly with the mount's stepper motor controller.
More information on the EQ Direct method can be found in the Yahoo EQMOD Group (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/EQMOD/) or on the EQ Mod website (http://eq-mod.sourceforge.net).
PLEASE NOTE: This cable will work with NEQ6 mounts with Serial connection Only.
If you have EQ6R or AZ/EQ6 you will require the USB2EQ5 cable

Visual Use
For dual-purpose photo/visual scopes, a "VISA" adapter (Visual / Imaging System Adapter) accepts the tunable top from the standard Tele Vue 2" Paracorr Type-2. The 2" format is fine visually since secondary mirror size limits maximum exit pupil diameter to around 7mm. The widest true field eyepiece choice with an f/3 (f/3.45 when used with Paracorr) is, therefore, Tele Vue's own 21mm Ethos which delivers a 6.1mm exit pupil at f/3.45.
Imaging with DSLR or CCD Cameras
If you have a 35mm format DLSR or CCD camera, the "VISA" adapter accepts Tele Vue Imaging System accessories.
$450.00
This adjustable-speed, electric motor-drive installs easily onto the Focusmate unit, and offers a unique quick disconnect for switching (without tools) between electric and manual operation. Variable-speed, forward/reverse, battery-operated hand-controller is included.
With the exception of the TV-60 (non-"is" version), all current production Tele Vue scopes accept a digital Indicator Kit -- so that their fullest imaging and visual performance can be realized. If a digital Indicator Kit, is installed, measurement is possible to an unprecedented 0.0001" (1/10,000"). A gentle tap on the motor direction switch can produce steps as small as about 0.0005" (5/10,000"). Truly, focusing will be "even better than you imagined."
Models available for 10:1 Focusmates (all black) and left or right-side mounted 6:1 Focusmates (chrome shafts).
- Vibration-free motor-drive unit
- Two-button hand-controller with variable-speed knob
- Motor-ring mount, with quick disconnect and focuser mounting instructions

As you've read, all Newtonian / Dobsonian telescopes can benefit from using a Tele Vue Paracorr (Parabola Corrector) to eliminate coma in the image. One aspect to optimizing this correction is the distance of the eyepieces focus point (field stop location) to the last surface of the Paracorr lens (within a small +/- tolerance of course). Typical eyepieces used with fast Newtonians can have field stop locations differing by as much as half an inch. To accommodate for the differences, we developed the "Tunable Top."
The "Tunable Top" permits optimized aberration control for all Tele Vue eyepieces and many others, by simply loosening a screw and rotating the Tunable Top. The eyepiece barrel height raises and lowers, allowing you to maintain the proper field stop to Paracorr lens distance.
$590.00

This 2" to 1¼" adapter allows more in-travel for 1¼" eyepieces than our "flat-top" or "high-hat" adapters. This adapter is designed to attach to the 1¼" eyepiece barrel and convert the eyepiece for use with a 2" focuser or diagonal. The main application is for 1¼" eyepieces that may need more in-travel due to limited focuser range of your telescope.
The "In-Travel" model achieves the following amount of in-travel benefit compared to our conventional 2" to 1¼" adapters.
hese adapters allows use of 1¼" eyepieces in any 2" focuser or diagonal.
All models feature brass clamp ring or nylon-tipped set screw for secure, no-mar locking and safety undercut.
Note: We purposely do not put 2" filter threads in 2" to 1¼" adapters. The reason is to avoid your getting upset when you insert a 1¼" Barlow and it crunches your expensive 2" filter. Safety first.
$130.00
"Flat-top" model
A flat-top model allows closer placement of the eyepiece. Use with Newtonian reflectors, Tele Vue Paracorr, 2" Powermate, and 2" Big Barlow.

$170.00
Tele Vue Equalizer 2 Inch - 1.25 Inch Adapter
Equalizer model
A heavy solid bronze version called the "Equalizer" adds 12-ounces to help equalize the weight when switching from heavy 2" eyepieces to light 1¼" eyepieces. Features exclusive anti-reflection angle that prevents reflection back to the objective.
These adapters allows use of 1¼" eyepieces in any 2" focuser or diagonal.
All models feature brass clamp ring or nylon-tipped set screw for secure, no-mar locking and safety undercut.
Note: Tele Vue purposely do not put 2" filter threads in 2" to 1¼" adapters. The reason is to avoid your getting upset when you insert a 1¼" Barlow and it crunches your expensive 2" filter. Safety first.
$90.00
Tele Vue Eyeguard Extender, Twist-on Style
Eyeguard Extender raises the eyeguard position by 8mm, and includes a rubber eyeguard and eyepiece cap (in case yours is lost or damaged.) Units are stackable: for example 2 units add 16mm height and make a 40mm Plössl very comfortable for solar viewing by blocking out stray daylight to maximize contrast in white light or hydrogen-alpha viewing.
Eyeguard extender is black anodized aluminum with anti-reflection threads.
The Eyeguard Extender attaches to the top of your eyepiece with the simplicity of a DIOPTRX™ corrector. It has two rings that thread together to clamp on the eyepiece: an inner-ring that holds the rubber eyeguard and outer ring that slips over the top of the eyepiece. Starting with the inner-ring backed off from fully tight, take off your existing rubber eyeguard, place the Eyeguard Extender in its place, screw-down the inner ring until the Eyeguard does not slip off.
$770.00
Tele Vue 0.8x Reducer/Flattener RFL-4087
TV-102 and TV-102is
Model FL-4087 Tele Vue 0.8x Reducer/flattener TV102 is a 0.8x Reducer/Flattener for TV-102 and TV-102is scopes and any 800-1000mm focal length refractor for imaging with up to 35mm camera formats. For TV-102 (non-"is") it requires the RAD-1074 Reducer Body Adapter for 2" focusers.
This reducer/flattener requires Imaging System camera adapter such as CWT-2070 (Canon Wide T-Adapter with Bayonet for 2.4" Focusers), STL-1071 (SBIG STL Camera Adapter), or TRG-1072 (Standard T-Ring Adapter) to connect to camera.

Tele Vue 2 Inch Extension Tube
Telescope drawtube extensions help your telescope reach focus when not using a diagonal — as is the case in many imaging applications. They are also useful (with or without diagonal) when you need more out-travel for focusing on nearby terrestrial subjects.
Tele Vue extension tubes slip into any telescope's 2" drawtube and include brass clamp rings to prevent marring of accessory barrels.
$670.00
Model TRF-2008 Tele Vue 0.8x Reducer/flattener 400-600mm converts TV-85 to 480mm f/5.6 and TV-76 to 380mm f/5.0 for flat field, fast photography. Fully multi-coated 3-element unit inserts directly into 2" focuser, accepts standard T-rings for 35mm cameras. Whilst designed for use in the TV-76 and TV-85, it can be used with other fast refractors between 400mm and 600mm focal length.
Used in prime-focus imaging, reducers increase photographic speed while flatteners decrease image curvature away from the center.
Important Note: The following products were all designed for an optimum 55mm back focus. (Distance from flange surface to film or CCD plane). If you use a CCD, be sure the spacing between flange and CCD is 56mm +/-2mm for best results.
"This accessory is a must-have for someone planning to use the TV-85 photographically" - review in Sky & Telescope, July 1999. Also it can be used with any 400-600mm refractor.

OPTEC Lepus .62x Telecompressor is optimized for 100mm of distance between the last lens surface and the image plane. Measured from the telecompressor flange, this distance works out to 105mm. Assuming a native focal ratio of f/10, the Lepus 0.62X will reduce the effective focal ratio to approximately f/6.2. Shifting the image plane outward will provide additional reduction but a loss of star quality at the edge of the images. The optimal distance for most SCT's is 100mm with the exception of the C9.25 EdgeHD SCT.
Designed for Midsize CCD's and DSLR's
Standard Edition Lepus 0.62X telecompressor lens designed for use with any telescope having the TCF-S or other 2-inch focuser in place. Works well with Meade ACF f/10 and f/8 coma-free SCT telescopes. The Lepus 0.62X Standard Edition is housed in a 2-inch barrel-like assembly and will fit into any telescope receiver for standard 2-inch eyepieces.
The camera side connection for the Lepus 0.62X telecompressor is a broad dovetail known as the OPTEC-2100. The proper back-focus distance to the camera image plane is maintained with Optec's custom camera-specific Lepus mounts available separately below. The OPTEC-2100 interface also allows easy connection to the Pyxis 2" rotator in place of the standard 2-inch nosepiece. When connected to the camera, Lepus will appear as a long 2-inch nosepiece that fits into any 2-inch focuser or eyepiece receiver.
Special DSLR adapters are available from stock for Canon and Nikon cameras which hold and maintain the 100mm on-axis back-focus distance.
The Lepus can be used with other telescope designs but is not parfocal. Therefore, some re-focusing will be required. Performance is not guaranteed with all telescope optical designs and the Lepus is not recommended for use with Ritchey-Chretien telescopes.
