Pixfra Draco D225-4K · 850 nm
Thermal imaging, digital day and night vision, infrared illumination and a laser rangefinder in one pair of binoculars. The Draco D225-4K brings the tools for finding and observing wildlife into one handheld device.
Scan for heat with the 256 × 192 thermal sensor and 25 mm lens. Then switch to the separate 4K digital channel to examine the visible scene. Picture-in-picture lets you combine the views.
The D225’s ≤18 mK NETD sensitivity at f/1.0 helps distinguish small temperature differences. Its 850 nm illuminator adds infrared light for digital night viewing, with a stated range of 400 m. The 940 nm D225N is a separate version.

Thermal lens, 4K digital lens, infrared illuminator and laser rangefinder, integrated into the Draco body.
The integrated laser rangefinder gives a distance reading without changing instruments, with stated accuracy of ±1 m. Thermal detection is separately rated to 1,300 m: detecting a heat source at a distance does not guarantee you can identify the animal.
A body weighing no more than 610 g, with a central wheel and four buttons, keeps the viewing controls together.

Move the eyepieces to match your eyes. The interpupillary range is 60–74 mm, with foldable eyecups.
Set the eyepieces for your eyesight before using the menus. Dioptre adjustment runs from −5 to +5 D.
Both channels focus manually. Turn the focus control until the subject is clear, then use the wheel and buttons to adjust the view.
Capture observations on the binoculars and review them in the local album. A built-in microphone lets video include sound.

Electronic image stabilisation compensates for hand movement. Defog can improve clarity in haze; weather still affects what you can see.
Plan around your own conditions and settings. The published runtime is a test rating, not a guarantee for every outing.
The thermal channel focuses from 3 m; the digital channel from 7 m. Allow that distance when observing nearby wildlife.
Base magnification is 4.3× for thermal and 5.5× for digital viewing. Both add 1×–8× digital zoom, which enlarges the view without increasing the sensor’s resolution.
The Draco is rated IP67, with an operating temperature range of −30 °C to +55 °C.
Never point the lenses at the sun or other bright sources. Do not look into the laser beam, including through other optical instruments. Read the Draco user manual for setup and care.
