Kite APC 42 Full Black
Waterproof silicon jacket for Kite Optics APC Binoculars
Suits both 14 x 50 and 18 x 50 models
High powered binocular viewing without the need for a tripod
New from FUJINON: High-magnification image-stabilized binoculars equipped with ED lenses, allowing for brighter and clearer observation of distant objects.
Higher magnification binoculars often need a tripod to avoid the hand movements and shakes while trying to hold them still. Taking a tripod into the field can be tricky, especially for bird watching in the distance or species identification where higher powers are needed.
FUJINON TECHNO-STABI Binoculars use latest image stabilising technology to provide steady, shake-free viewing without a tripod even in the harshest of conditions.
- Highest level of magnification in the "FUJINON TECHNO-STABI Series".
- Ideal for bird or nature viewing.
- The image stabilization system with a correction angle of ±3° also allows users to see athletes and performers' faces clearly during sports events or music concerts in large venues.
- These binoculars feature ED lenses (extra-low dispersion glass) to reduce axial chromatic aberration for long distance subject observation.

Clarity, refined.
The Fujinon HC 8×42 and HC 10×42 are premium Japanese-built ED roof-prism binoculars, engineered for serious birdwatchers, naturalists and outdoor observers across Australia.
Hand-built in Japan. Designed for a lifetime of mornings, evenings and everything in between.
Premium ED binoculars, refined down to the last millimetre.
Every choice in the Fujinon HC series, from the glass to the prism coatings to the magnesium chassis, is made in service of one thing: an image so honest you forget the binocular is there.
Extra-low dispersion glass. Practically zero colour fringing.
ED lens elements paired with lanthanum-glass eyepieces suppress chromatic and spherical aberration so subjects sit on a clean, true-colour background, edge to edge.
Fujinon SUPER EBC.
Signature multi-coating on every air-to-glass surface, for higher light transmission.
Prism reflectance.
Phase-corrected, dielectric-coated Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms preserve image brightness right to your eye.
Magnesium-alloy body.
Hand-built in Fujinon's Omiya factory. Lightweight, rigid and quietly serious.
Waterproof & fog-proof.
Nitrogen-purged and O-ring sealed. Submersible 1m for 5 minutes; ready for any Australian weather.
Nine ED elements. Seven groups. One uncompromised view.
Every element in the Fujinon HC optical path is positioned to control distortion across the entire image circle, not just the centre. The result is bright, edge-to-edge sharpness that holds true from the heart of the field right out to the very edge - ideal for tracking fast-moving birds in flight or scanning bushland for movement at dawn.
Engineered to disappear into the conditions you take it through.
A nitrogen-purged, O-ring sealed magnesium-alloy chassis, waterproof to one metre and fog-resistant across rapid temperature shifts. Water-repellent coatings on both objectives and eyepieces shed rain and sea spray, while a slip-resistant elastomeric grip keeps the binocular under confident control with one hand, with or without gloves.
Filter threads, for casual binocular astronomy.
M46 × 0.75 threaded objectives accept polariser, neutral-density and even narrowband nebula filters - rare in a birding-grade binocular. The same Fujinon HC you use for the dawn chorus can pull detail out of the Southern Hemisphere Milky Way, the Magellanic Clouds and bright nebulae like Eta Carinae after dark.

Fujinon TECHNO-STABI binoculars brings the latest tech to stabilise and correct images.
Image High power doesn't need to mean shaky views.
If you've ever needed to hand hold higher power binoculars, you'll know hard it is to keep them steady, especially for long periods of time. It's even hard on a bumpy surface or on a boat. Now with the Fujinon TECHNO-STABI binoculars from BINTEL, forget for the shakes and enjoy the views!
You'll get to see high-power 12 times magnification views of birds, nature, sports, and concerts without the need for a tripod. Get in close but without the handshaking that sometime accompanies higher magnification.
The prism in the gimbal system is constantly stabilized when the electronic gyro sensor detects vibration, providing vibration correction at a wider range of angles than any other system. Views through the Fujinon TECHNO-STABI binoculars will be much steadier and clearer when you're on the go or need to follow a moving object.
Waterproof and dustproof
They're also a perfect companion for boating - the image stabilisation keeps distant view in focus even with the deck rocking under your feet during bumpy conditions. A bit of a splash or even if they fall into water won't harm Fujinon TECHNO-STABI binoculars.
Long life battery power
Fujinon TECHNO-STABI binoculars run for hours on end off either standard AA batteries that can find anywhere or rechargeable batteries. If the batteries go flat, you can still use the binoculars. It's just the image stabilisation that stops working.

Farpoint Bahtinov Mask RASA 8" designed for the Celestron 8 inch RASA telescope, is an ingenious way to easily focus a telescope. Pavel Bahtinov, a Russian amateur telescope maker and astronomer, created this simple, very intuitive method and the device has universally been named after him: The Bahtinov Mask.
Farpoint Bahtinov Mask RASA 8"
Farpoint Bahtinov Mask RASA 8" is an ingenious way to easily focus a telescope. Pavel Bahtinov, a Russian amateur telescope maker and astronomer, created this simple, very intuitive method and the device has universally been named after him: The Bahtinov Mask.
Attach a camera to the telescope, center a fairly bright star and achieve rough focus. Then place the mask over the front aperture of your telescope by “hanging” it on the plastic screws from the front dew shield. Take a short exposure. The image of the star will show diffraction spikes. The “center” set will most likely be shifted to one side or the other. This is showing the defocus.
Adjust the focus of the telescope and re-expose the star, once again showing the diffraction spike pattern. Iterate the process until the central diffraction spike is centered against the star and the other spikes. When a symmetrical pattern is achieved, the best possible focus is then reached. Simply remove the mask, center the target object and take amazing, sharp images!
Farpoint manufactures this "lifesaving" astrophotography tool out of virtually indestructible ABS plastic, which comes in two major types and in a range of sizes. In addition to Bahtinov masks for telescopes, Farpoint also makes Bahtinov masks for DSLR camera lenses.
Farpoint Bahtinov Masks Are one of the best tools for manually focusing your telescope available to astrophotographers. In 2005, Pavel Bahtinov, a Russian amateur telescope maker and astronomer detailed a way to easily focus your DSLR, CMOS or CCD camera for astrophotography by adding a mask that matches the diameter of your telescope.
Bahtinov mask are a less expensive method of getting focus on objects in the night sky compared to a standard motor focuser.
With the right mask and setup it’s easy to get crystal clear focus on a star in less than 90 seconds.
How it works
The slits in the mask are the focus assist, when the star is in focus it will appear on your screen display as an “X” with a line through the center (see above).
These masks will work equally as well on the end of a scope or on the end of a dew shield on top of that the mask itself does not need to be perfected centered on the scope this is due to the angle of the slits themselves.
Select a bright star, this will be your guiding object. Place the Bahtinov focusing mask on your telescope’s lens and secure it into place using the provided rubber tabs.
The slits in the mask design create a set of diffraction spikes on the star that will assist in the accuracy of our focus. It will appear on your DSLR display screen or computer as an “X” with a line through the center (when in focus).

Pentax's highly portable and functional U-Series UP Compact Binocular employs an innovative unibody design that locks the objective lenses into the body with the eyepieces set on a synchronized dual-axis mechanism that ensures they stay symmetrical in relation to the center axis of the optic when adjusting the interpupillary distance. The 25mm objective lenses are fully multicoated to reduce reflection and maximize light transmission to produce the brightest images possible. Aspherical lens elements virtually eliminate distortion, especially around the edges, and corrects for lens astigmatism which can prevent sharp focusing.
Designed for easy carrying and stowing, the binocular features a lightweight fiberglass reinforced polycarbonate housing that is corrosion and impact resistant. The housing material is also temperature-resistant allowing for its use in extreme climates while reducing expansion and contraction wide temperature variations can cause, which can make the optical components move out of collimation over time.

The Celestron C9.25-A is an unusual size with its 9.25” aperture and 2350 mm focal length, but many consider it to be the Goldilocks of optical tubes—not too big, not too small. This rugged aluminum optical tube is only 558mm long and weighs just 9kgs, making it easy to transport and set up. But the views are much more impressive than what you’d expect from such a compact instrument. The tube offers a focal ratio of f/10 with the added versatility of Fastar (see below).
It is equipped with Celestron’s patented StarBright® XLT optical coatings, which visibly increase contrast and light transmission for brighter deep space images and shorter exposure times. With StarBright XLT, you’ll be able to discern subtle details while viewing the Moon and planets as well as faint galaxies and nebulae.
The Celestron C9.25-A
Fastar Technology
In 1997, CCDs were making a name for themselves in the astrophotography world, quickly supplanting traditional film photography thanks to their speed and convenience. This was the year that Celestron joined forces with the Santa Barbara Instruments Group (SBIG) to produce Fastar, a revolutionary add-on to Celestron’s hugely popular Schmidt-Cassegrain (SCT) optical system.
With Fastar, the SCT’s secondary mirror can be removed and replaced with a field-flattening lens assembly (sold separately by third party manufacturers) so that a CCD camera can be used in the front of the telescope at the f/2 focus of the instrument’s primary mirror. The potential of the Fastar system is staggering: exposures are 25 times shorter than if the camera was placed at the instrument’s native f/10 focus. Imagers can capture galaxies and nebulae with exposures of just 30 seconds.
StarBright XLT is Celestron’s revolutionary optical coating system. It consistently outperforms all other coatings in the commercial telescope market. There are three major components that make up our StarBright XLT high-transmission optical system design:
- Unique enhanced multi-layer mirror coatings made from precise layers of aluminum, SiO2 (quartz), TiO2 (titanium dioxide), and SiO2 (silicon dioxide). Reflectivity is fairly flat across the spectrum, optimizing it for both imaging and visual observing.
- Multi-layer anti-reflective coatings made from precise layers of MgF2 (magnesium fluoride) and HfO2 (hafnium dioxide). Hafnium—a rare element that costs nearly $2,000 per kilogram—gives us a wider band pass than the titanium used in competing coatings.
- High-transmission water white glass is used instead of soda lime glass for the corrector lens. Water white glass transmits about 90.5% of light without anti-reflective coatings; that’s 3.5% better than uncoated soda lime glass. When water white glass is used in conjunction with StarBright XLT’s anti-reflective coatings, the average transmission reaches an astonishing 97.4.
The Celestron 2” Luminos Barlow Lens increases the magnification of your 2” and 1.25” eyepieces by 2.5x. The premium 4-element apochromatic optics are fully multi-coated for optimum light transmission and yield high contrast, true colour images.
The beautiful hard-anodized aluminum housing matches the eyepieces in the Celestron Luminos line. A centralized rubber grip helps to keep your hands securely on the barrel, even when your fingers are cold or you are wearing gloves. A brass compression ring just inside the top of the Luminos 2.5x Barlow grabs your 2” eyepieces gently but firmly when you turn the oversized thumbscrew. Once the thumbscrew has been secured in place, the brass ring keeps your eyepiece in the Barlow instead of relying on the tip of the thumbscrew itself, offering a better grip and protecting the barrel from scratches. A matching 2” to 1.25” adapter is included so that you can increase the magnification of all of your eyepieces, both 1.25” and 2”, in this versatile Barlow lens.
The insert barrel of the Celestron Luminos 2.5x Barlow is threaded to accept 2” filters. This is a nice feature, because you can change eyepieces without removing and reattaching the filter each time.

Celestron X-Cel LX series eyepieces offer a 60º apparent field of view, perfect for the Moon, the planets, and a plethora of deep-sky objects. The premium six-element optical set is finished with multiple layers of high-transmission coatings for clear, sharp images. The edges of the optics are blackened for increased contrast. All seven X-Cel LX eyepieces sport 16mm of comfortable eye relief, and are parfocal, which means you can switch out eyepieces within the series during observing sessions and little or no additional focusing will be required.
The X-Cel LX eyepiece body is made of black-anodized aluminum. The pop-up eyecups make it easy to adjust the height for different users. Turn them in one direction to extend the length, and the other direction to provide a flat surface, preferable to most eyeglass wearers. A threaded rubber grip around the center of the eyepiece barrel offers secure handling, even in moist conditions or with heavy gloves on. The 1.25” insert barrel is threaded to accept filters.

Celestron EdgeHD 14 OTA
See the Universe in HD
EdgeHD is an aplanatic, flat field Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope that produces aberration-free images across a wide visual and photographic field of view. The optical system was designed to reduce more than just off-axis star coma; it also provides an astrograph-quality flat focal plane all the way to the edge of the field of view.
True Astrograph Quality
Many optical designs that advertise themselves as "astrographs" actually only produce pinpoint stars across a curved focal plane. While this may be acceptable for some visual observing, stars will appear out of focus at the edge when used with the flat chip sensor of a digital camera.
EdgeHD optics produce a focal plane more than three-times flatter than a standard Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope and dramatically flatter than competing coma-free designs. This guarantees you visibly sharp stars across some of the largest CCD chips available today.
Improved Performance
Superior edge performance provides two distinct advantages. You'll enjoy rounder, more pleasing stars. It also improves the resolution and limiting magnitude when compared to telescopes of equal aperture. With Celestron’s StarBright XLT optical coatings on every surface, EdgeHD optics gives you maximum light throughput across the widest visual and photographic spectrum.
Mechanical Features
In addition to EdgeHD’s optimized optical design, the telescope tube has been redesigned to make sure you get the most from your optics each and every night.
- Mirror clutches - Flexible tension clutches hold the mirror in place and reduce image shift when taking long exposure astro-images. Once focused, the flexible rods allow the mirror to be held in place without putting any force or pressure on the mirror assembly, keeping the image centered in the eyepiece (or on the sensor).
- Tube vents - Cooling vents located on the rear cell allow hot air to be released from behind the primary mirror. Each vent has an integrated 95-micron micromesh filter guaranteed to let warm air out without letting dust in.
- Fastar versatility - EdgeHD is the most versatile imaging telescope available today. At its native f/10, you can achieve the image scale necessary to capture the smallest of deep sky objects. Add the optional reducer lens—custom-designed for your size EdgeHD tube—and you can increase your field of view without sacrificing optical performance. A Barlow gives you added power for high-resolution planetary, lunar and solar imaging. All EdgeHD optical tubes are Fastar-compatible, allowing the secondary mirror to be removed and replaced with a third party lens accessory for ultra-fast f/2 wide field imaging.
Individually Tested
Every EdgeHD that ships has been tested not only for the surface quality of each optical component, but also with a camera and artificial star to ensure the imaging system meets our rigid quality assurance. This “final acceptance test” confirms the EdgeHD will perform in the field and deliver high-quality astroimages.

Farpoint Bahtinov Mask - Celestron 9.25 Classic
About Bahtinov Masks
Pavel Bahtinov, a Russian amateur telescope maker and astronomer, created this simple, very intuitive method and the device has universally been named after him: The Bahtinov Mask.
Attach a camera to the telescope, center a fairly bright star and achieve rough focus. Then place the mask over the front aperture of your telescope by “hanging” it on the plastic screws from the front dew shield (Custom fit masks for specific telescopes are also available). Take a short exposure. The image of the star will show diffraction spikes. The “center” spike will most likely be shifted to one side or the other. This is showing the defocus.
Adjust the focus of the telescope and re-expose the star, once again showing the diffraction spike pattern. Iterate the process until the central diffraction spike is centered against the star and the other spikes. When a symmetrical pattern is achieved, the best possible focus has been obtained. Simply remove the mask, center the target object and take amazing, sharp images!
Farpoint manufactures this "lifesaving" astrophotography tool out of virtually indestructible ABS plastic, which comes in three major types and in a range of sizes. In addition to Bahtinov masks for telescopes, Farpoint also makes Bahtinov masks for DSLR camera lenses.

From the start, the Astronomik OIII filter has been very specifically designed for the visual observation of gaseous and planetary nebulae. The extremely narrow pass band of the two OIII lines brings a substantial contrast gain to these lines even under best observation conditions. On faint super nova remnants and faint planetary nebulae the Astronomik OIII filter will often make the difference as to whether the object can bee seen or not!
The optimal aperture ratio for the use of the filter is 1:3.7 to 1:15 with apertures of more than 6" (150mm). Transmission losses and chromatic distortions, which arise with other filters, occur with Astronomik OIII filters only when extremely bright aperture ratios of 1:3 and more come into play. The Astronomik OIII filters thus can expand the view of dispersed objects, generally speaking, to the whole visual field of view of the eyepiece and are not limited to only the center of the eyepiece.
Main use
Since enough light must be available to make use of the OIII filter it is best to use this filter with apertures of more than 6" (150mm). Smaller instruments do not gather enough light for meaningful and satisfying astronomical work. However, please note: Many experienced Deep Sky observers, with apertures of more than 10" (250mm), prefer using the OIII filter instead of the more versatile UHC filter. Due to the high optical quality of the Astronomik OIII filter substrate you will see the same needle-sharp stars as you would from your regular telescope.

The ZWO ASI533MM PRO adopts a Sony back-illuminated IMX533 sensor, which is a 1-inch square frame sensor made suitable for deep sky astrophotography needs. The ZWO ASI533MM Pro can be regarded as an upgrade of the ASI183 series. Not only does it retain the high-quality features of the ASI183, such as high QE and frame rate, but it also features: no amp glow, readout noise as low as 1.0e, pixel size of 3.76 μm, 3008 x3008 array (11.31mm x 11.31mm) array and a 2-stage TEC cooling. It is highly recommended for beginners of deep sky astrophotography.
1-inch Square Frame
The IMX533 is a 1-inch square frame CMOS image sensor with approximately 9M effective pixels at a pixel size of 3.76 μm. The 14-bit digital output of IMX533 makes it possible to read out signals of 9m effective pixels at a high speed of 20 frames per second with read noise as low as 1.0e, the performance of which is on par with those of SCMOS or EMCCD sensors. This sensor is suitable for image needs that require high definition and low noise.
Full Upgrade
The ZWO ASI533MM Pro is considered a full upgrade version of the ASI183 series.

Camera Curve
Quantum Efficiency
Based on ZWO’s calculation, the peak quantum efficiency of ASI533MM Pro is greater than 91%.
Zero Amp Glow
Traditional CMOS sensors can generate weak infrared light, which is equivalent to a light source during exposures. The ASI533MM Pro uses a no-glow circuitry to ensure best quality images regardless of gain or exposure length.
2 Stage TEC Cooling
The 2-stage thermoelectric can cool the CMOS sensor to 35 degrees below the ambient temperature (based on a 30 degree ambient temperature test results). Greatly reducing dark current and thereby improving the signal to noise ratio, even with a long expose of hundreds of seconds. Note: the lower the ambient temperature is, the smaller the Delta T is.
Dark Current
ASI533MM Pro is equipped with a USB 3.0 transmission interface. In 14-bit ADC mode, the output frame rate can reach 20 frames per second. Additionally, the 256M DDR3 memory ensures a more stable data transmission during long exposure without frame loss, and can also relax the hardware requirements of the computer used for data capture.
