Pixfra Mile 2 15mm Thermal Monocular
$899.00
This product will be available for sale in 2 weeks, but you can pre-order now to receive 10% discount!
Detect heat to 800 m. Carry only 270 g.
A 15 mm F1.0 thermal monocular built for Australian wildlife observation, birding and field awareness after visible light has faded. The 50 Hz image, manual focus and broad field of view help you scan naturally, while 16 GB recording and Wi-Fi make findings easy to keep and share.
When the light disappears, heat signatures can still tell you where to look.
Scan 20.5 m across at 100 m.
The broad 11.7° horizontal field makes it easier to search woodland edges, open ground and property boundaries without tunnel vision. Manual focus reaches as close as 2.6 m when the subject moves nearer.
Read motion at a smooth 50 Hz.
The vanadium oxide detector responds at up to 50 frames per second, so moving animals and panning scenes look more natural. Thermal sensitivity is rated at 35 mK or better at F1.0 and 25 C.
Match the display to the scene.
Choose white hot, black hot, iron red, alarm, emerald or amber. The 800×600 OLED display and −3 D to +1 D dioptre adjustment help keep the view comfortable and legible.
Record the sighting, then share it live.
Capture H.264 video or still images to the built-in eMMC storage. A stable Wi-Fi hotspot supports live monitoring by up to four nearby viewers through the Pixfra mobile app.
PIPS 2.0 brings more detail from 256×192.
Pixfra combines its detector, 15 mm F1.0 lens and PIPS 2.0 processing to lift useful contrast from difficult thermal scenes. Hot-spot tracking, defective-pixel correction and automatic or manual FFC calibration give you practical tools for keeping the image readable in the field.
Thermal imaging detects temperature differences. It is valuable in darkness and other low-visibility conditions, but it does not see through solid cover.
270 g to carry. IP67 for demanding conditions.
The compact body is rated for dust and water protection, with an operating range from −30 C to +55 C. A concealed power switch, non-slip silicone texture and one-handed top controls support confident use after dark.
A 20× eyepiece presents a wide P3 colour view.
The 0.32-inch OLED is viewed through a 20× magnification eyepiece, which Pixfra describes as producing a 6.4-inch apparent viewing experience. The physical display remains compact, while the P3 wide colour gamut supports vivid palette separation.
Three controls, three carry options, one compact body.
The control layout keeps capture, menu and zoom functions under one hand. The supplied pouch, lanyard and wrist strap give you practical ways to carry the monocular between observations.
Ten supplied essentials, from Type-C cable to carry pouch.
