ZWO
ZWO ASI6200MM Pro USB3.0 Cooled Mono Astronomy Camera
$6,399.00
This product will be available for sale in 2 weeks, but you can pre-order now to receive 10% discount!
Full-frame monochrome for detailed deep-sky work
The P25 version of the ASI6200MM Pro combines a 61.2 MP Sony IMX455 monochrome sensor with two-stage cooling and a full-frame imaging area.
Cover a wide field
The sensor spans 36 × 24 mm and captures 9576 × 6388 pixels.
Preserve detail across the frame
The full-frame sensor pairs this pixel pitch with a 51.4 ke⁻ full-well capacity.
Measure the sensor response
ZWO rates the monochrome version at 91% peak QE.
Manage dark current and read noise
The two-stage TEC system is rated at 30–35 °C below ambient. On the monochrome model, high conversion gain engages at gain 100 to lower read noise while preserving dynamic range.

Sensor curves and setup diagrams

Full well
The charge a pixel can hold before saturation. The low-gain point is marked around 51,000 electrons.

Conversion gain
The electrons represented by one digital count. The curve drops steeply at lower settings, then flattens at higher gain.

Dynamic range
The span between the noise floor and saturation. The plotted range starts near 14 stops and recovers around gain 100.

Read noise
Noise introduced when the sensor is read. The high conversion gain step at 100 reduces read noise from around 3 to just above 1 electron RMS.

Quantum efficiency
The monochrome quantum efficiency peaks just above 90% in the blue, then tapers towards the near infrared.

Dark current versus temperature
Dark current is charge that accumulates even with no light. This plot shows how cooling the sensor reduces its rate of accumulation.
