ZWO
ZWO ASI174MM Mini Autoguider CMOS Camera
$649.00
This product will be available for sale in 2 weeks, but you can pre-order now to receive 10% discount!
A wider guide field for off-axis setups
The ASI174MM Mini is a monochrome autoguider with an 11.3 × 7.1 mm sensor. That larger guide field is especially useful on an off-axis guider when the pick-off prism can illuminate it.
Give your guider room to find a star
The usable field depends on the guide scope or off-axis prism and how much of the sensor it illuminates.
Check the scale of your guide setup
The larger pixels are a practical match to consider for a long-focal-length optical train. The final guide scale still depends on focal length.
Leave room to reach focus
The narrow body slides into a compatible 1.25″ holder so the guide camera can sit closer to the prism.
A guide camera that slides into the holder
The Mini body fits a compatible 1.25″ guide scope or off-axis guider. Focus the main camera first on an off-axis setup, then slide the Mini in its holder to bring the guide image into focus.

Guide sensor curves and connections

Full well
The charge a pixel can hold before saturation. The curve starts near 32,400 electrons and falls with gain.

Conversion gain
The electrons represented by one digital count. The largest changes occur at low gain, and ZWO marks the point around gain 180.

Dynamic range
The span between the noise floor and saturation. The curve falls from above 12 stops at low gain to around 6 stops near gain 400.

Read noise
Noise introduced when the sensor is read. The read noise falls quickly at first and levels out near 3.5 electrons RMS.

Quantum efficiency
The plotted quantum efficiency peaks in the green near 500 nm and falls towards the near infrared.
