ZWO
ZWO ASI461MM Pro Cooled 100Mp Camera
$23,499.00
This product will be available for sale in 2 weeks, but you can pre-order now to receive 10% discount!
Medium-format monochrome for large imaging fields
The ASI461MM Pro combines a 44 × 33 mm Sony IMX461 monochrome sensor with native 16-bit conversion and regulated cooling for wide deep-sky fields and research imaging.
Cover a large field
The sensor dimensions call for an optical train that illuminates the 55 mm diagonal.
Sample fine detail
ZWO lists a 50.3 ke⁻ full well and 91% peak quantum efficiency.
Choose gain for long exposures
ZWO recommends gain 0 or 100 for deep-sky imaging. HCG engages at gain 100.
Control thermal noise and dew
The two-stage TEC system cools the sensor to reduce dark current. The protective-window heater helps manage dew, and ZWO shows a long-exposure dark frame to illustrate the zero-amp-glow design.

Sensor curves and setup diagrams

Full well
The charge a pixel can hold before saturating. ZWO marks about 50,000 electrons at the low-gain end. The vertical scale is logarithmic.

Conversion gain
The electrons represented by one digital count. The conversion factor falls as gain rises, with a steeper decline at lower gain settings.

Dynamic range
The gap between the noise floor and saturation. It starts near 14 stops and rises back to roughly 13.5 stops when high conversion gain engages at 100.

Read noise
The noise introduced when the sensor is read. At gain 100 it drops from just over 3 e⁻ to about 1.4 e⁻ RMS.

Absolute quantum efficiency
The percentage of incident photons detected by the sensor. ZWO’s curve peaks around 91% in the blue and declines toward 1000 nm.

Relative spectral sensitivity
The visible-light response is scaled to its own peak. It is strongest in the green around 530 nm, with lower response at the blue and red ends of the plot.

Dark current versus temperature
Charge that accumulates even with no light. ZWO marks about 0.00024 electrons per pixel per second at −20 °C. The vertical scale is logarithmic.
