ZWO
ZWO ASI585MM Mono Camera
$799.00
This product will be available for sale in 2 weeks, but you can pre-order now to receive 10% discount!
Wide 4K monochrome capture in a compact body
The uncooled ASI585MM uses Sony’s monochrome IMX585 sensor for a wide 3840 × 2160 field and fast lunar and planetary capture.
Frame a wide field
The 1/1.2″ sensor measures 11.2 × 6.3 mm and uses 2.9 µm pixels.
Record at full resolution
ZWO specifies this rate at full frame in 12-bit mode.
Use the mono rating
ZWO rates the ASI585MM separately from the colour model.
High-speed transfer and clean dark frames
A 256 MB DDR3 buffer supports USB 3.0 transfer. ZWO shows the effect of the camera’s zero-amp-glow design in its comparison dark frames.

Sensor curves and setup diagrams

Full well
The charge a pixel can hold before saturation. The monochrome curve starts near 38,700 electrons and drops with increasing gain.

Conversion gain
The electrons represented by one digital count. The conversion factor falls most quickly at the lower gain settings.

Dynamic range
The span between the noise floor and saturation. The range recovers around the high conversion gain step before tapering.

Read noise
Noise introduced when the sensor is read. The curve steps down near gain 200 and then levels out.

Quantum efficiency
The monochrome quantum efficiency is near 90% through much of the blue and green. It then tapers through the red and near infrared.
