Every astronomer needs a red-light torch to let the handle and adjust their telescopes, mounts, cameras and other accessories.
Astronomers use red-light torches to preserve their "night vision" - the way our eyes adjust to seeing in low light conditions after about 20-30 minutes. BINTEL worked with Astronomy Night to assist with the best settings for astronomers when using this torch.
This BG-58 flashlight offers two lighting outputs, a single LED flashlight and dual coloured red or white COB light output. (COB is "Chip On Board".)
Both the flashlight and COB light incorporate full brightness adjustment control with LCD digital display, ideal for astronomers and night vision support.
Also integrated with an adjustable stand and two separate magnets to assist with placement for that perfect light direction.
Red light colour
BG-58 is inspired from the star 58 Orionis (Betelgeuse), a red supergiant from the Orion constellation and is approximately 760 times bigger than our sun. Betelgeuse is the 10th brightest star in the sky and the second brightest in Orion.
