A dew shield alone only delays the fog. Astrozap’s Flexi-Heat® heated dew shields wrap your telescope in felt-lined shielding and add a sewn-in 12 V heater that holds the glass above the dew point until dawn. 46 exact fits, from 90 mm refractors to 16″ SCTs.

Every Flexi-Heat® combines both methods of dew fighting in one wrap. The shield creates a zone of air that cools slower than the night around it, while the sewn-in heater element keeps the glass above the dew point in all but the most extreme conditions.
Blacker sky, sharper contrast.
The felt lining absorbs moisture and swallows stray, off-axis light before it reaches your optics. Streetlights and a neighbour’s porch globe stop washing out the view, so faint targets keep their contrast.
6 to 25.8 watts.
Each model’s element is matched to its tube diameter, from 6 W on a NexStar 90 to 25.8 W on a Meade 16″ SCT. Just enough warmth to stay above the dew point, never enough to disturb the view.
ABS-grade polymers.
Made in the USA from the highest quality ABS-grade polymer sheet. Padded VELCRO® Brand fasteners pull it snug around the tube without marring or scratching the telescope’s finish.
Rolls up flat.
Unwrap it and the whole shield rolls into a slim coil that slips beside your eyepiece case. It weighs next to nothing in the car for star parties and dark-sky trips.
One lead, two ways to run it.
The built-in element ends in a single 12Â V lead. Run it from the Astrozap AZ-719 DC adapter for set-and-forget warmth, or an AZ-720 dual-channel dew controller to dial the heat to the night. Both sold separately.
Slow the cooling.
From sunset, your optics shed heat faster than the air around them. The wrap extends the tube and traps a pocket of slower-cooling air in front of the corrector, holding it warmer for longer, exactly like a classic dew shield.
Stay above the dew point.
Passive shielding alone is temporary; eventually the air inside reaches the dew point too. The sewn-in 12Â V element adds a gentle trickle of warmth so the glass never gets there, keeping you observing or imaging until dawn.
