ZWO Seestar S50 Pro
The S50 Pro brings a 50 mm four-element APO telephoto system, a 63° wide camera, motorised mount and guided Seestar app into one compact instrument. Move from deep-sky targets to Milky Way panoramas, the Sun, Moon, birds and landscapes without building a separate imaging rig.
Dual-camera 4K system
The 260 mm telephoto system frames nebulae, clusters and galaxies in a 2.8° portrait field. The separate 6 mm wide camera opens to 63° for broad star fields, Milky Way compositions and terrestrial scenes. Each camera uses an 8.3 MP sensor with a native portrait resolution of 2160 × 3840.

One connected imaging system
The S50 Pro is built around the full path from incoming light to a finished image, so each part contributes to a simpler field workflow.

Integrated filter set
The telephoto path includes UV/IR cut, a dual-band light-pollution filter and a dark-frame filter. The wide camera also includes UV/IR cut.

Guided stacking
GOTO, tracking and live stacking are coordinated in the Seestar workflow, allowing faint detail to accumulate while you monitor progress on your phone.

App finishing tools
Crop, brightness, contrast, noise reduction, saturation and star-reduction or removal tools provide a practical first edit without immediately moving to desktop software.

A guided first session
Place the tripod on stable ground, attach the S50 Pro and connect through the Seestar app. A compatible NFC phone can simplify the connection flow.
Select Stargazing, Milky Way, Solar System or Scenery. For sky targets, use the app database to choose what is visible and start GOTO.
The telescope can autofocus, track and capture while the app builds the image. Finish in the app or export JPEG, FITS or video files for another workflow.
Download the Seestar app for iPhone and iPad or download the Seestar app for Android.

Manufacturer-supplied examples and interface visuals are representative; capture conditions and final results vary.

Milky Way mode
The 63° wide camera supports Milky Way panorama stitching, foreground freeze, constellation recognition and star-trail capture, with mosaic compositions up to 8K. Results depend strongly on darkness, transparency, framing and capture settings; light pollution can limit Milky Way detail.
Plan mode can schedule several targets, reducing the need to start every capture manually. Check the forecast first: weather can interrupt the sequence and does not itself power the telescope off.
With accurate polar alignment, equatorial mode supports exposures up to 60 seconds. A suitable equatorial head or wedge is an optional extra and is not included.
ASCOM Alpaca and N.I.N.A. support give experienced imagers a path beyond the standard mobile-app experience.

Up to 9 hours is ZWO laboratory data measured above 25°C in Alt-Az mode using the telephoto sensor in Stargazing mode. Temperature, mode, wireless use and capture settings can change actual runtime.
Automated capture does not remove the effect of light pollution or poor transparency. Milky Way detail and deep-sky stacking results vary with the site, target, weather and settings.
The 60-second exposure option is not available in Alt-Az mode. It requires accurate polar alignment and a suitable head or wedge sold separately.
A sudden weather change can prevent Plan mode from completing, and the telescope does not automatically power off simply because the plan is interrupted.
Fit the supplied magnetic solar filter correctly before pointing at the Sun. Never point the main camera directly at the Sun without the filter installed.
Manufacturer support
The current policy lists two years for the smart telescope main body and camera, one year for the rechargeable battery and 90 days for other unlisted accessories. Proof of purchase, exclusions, regional terms and Australian consumer rights apply.
