In general, observing an object from a close distance with a pair of binoculars causes a discrepancy in the visual field between the right and left eyes. Compared with conventional multi-coatings, this assures higher transmittance with less reflection. The result is that the Papilio III WR delivers extra-clear, higher-contrast images even under such demanding conditions as backlighting.
