Metal block adapter allows finderscopes with dovetail to be mounted to Meade or Celestron SCT scopes. Accepts all Bintel models, GSO, some Orion, Skywatcher and other finderscopes.

Mounting holes are slotted to allow fitting to existing holes at the front or rear of Meade and Celestron SCT telescopes.

The Losmandy DVA dovetail plate adapter is the most universal adapter available. With it you can mount camera adapter, rings, counterweights and a myriad of other accessories to either a Losmandy D style or Vixen V style dovetail plate.

Tool free fitting by use of spring loaded locking knobs on the side of the clamps means you can load and unload your accessory onto the dovetail plate in a moment and in the dark. Move your guide scope or DVWS counterweight forward or back to achieve perfect balance with ease.

There are 6 countersunk holes on the underside for sockethead machine screws to fix your accessories.

This dovetail bar is easily mounted to the top of the Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph 8 with the included hardware. Once installed it will allow you to attach any astronomy accessories that use CGE or Losmandy D-series dovetail plates.

Installation Guide

This V-Style Dove tail bar is designed for DSLR camera attachment.

Attach the yellow dovetail bar to the DSLR camera body using the supplied ¼” inch screw.

Like all tripods or camera mounting systems, do not over-tighten the ¼” inch screw to avoid possible damage to the camera body.

Loosen the side clamps on the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer GTI mount head and slide the yellow bar with the camera body into the mount head. Tighten both mount clamps to secure the camera.

Again, please don’t over-tighten the mount clamps.

Able to support 3kg total weight.

This dovetail bar kit allows you to replace the wider CGE dovetail bar found on most Celestron 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain and 8" EdgeHD optical tubes with a narrow dovetail, allowing them to be used on mounts that require the narrower CG-5 dovetail bars, such as the Advanced VX mount.

Orion narrow dovetail plate (Vixen Style) is made of extruded, black anodized aluminum. With several holes and two long slots, this versatile plate is ideal for mounting telescope and guide scope tube rings, cameras, finder scopes, and other accessories.

Near the center of the plate are two counterbored through holes and two M6x1 threaded holes. Two long slots are also counterbored underneath so that the heads of standard socket head cap screws are recessed under the bottom surface of the plate.

Both the through holes and slots can accommodate 1/4"-20 socket head cap screws and some smaller sizes. The slots make it easy to accommodate the needed spacing between two tube rings for different telescope and guide scope configurations.

Two holes on each end of the plate have M6x1 threads also.

With the Orion narrow dovetail plate, you'll have a secure connection and perfect placement ? no matter what tube you're using to explore the universe!
