ZWO
ZWO ASI2600MC-Air Colour Smart Camera
$3,199.00
This product will be available for sale in 2 weeks, but you can pre-order now to receive 10% discount!
Image, guide and run the rig from one camera
The ASI2600MC Air combines a cooled APS-C colour imaging sensor, a separate guide sensor and built-in ASIAIR control.
Capture the main field
The sensor pairs 3.76 µm pixels with a native 16-bit ADC. ZWO specifies 50 ke⁻ as standard and up to 73 ke⁻ in expanded mode.
Guide in the same body
The guide sensor has a separately published peak QE of 92%.
Store a session on the camera
The Air has built-in storage and dual-band Wi-Fi. ZWO lists external storage support up to 1 TB over USB 2.0.
Control capture from the ASIAIR app
The ASIAIR app controls guiding, imaging, mount movements and an electronic focuser. ZWO also lists wireless PC control through ASIStudio and third-party software using ASCOM Alpaca.

Sensor curves and setup diagrams

Full well
The charge a pixel can hold before saturation. ZWO marks the expanded-mode point around 73,000 electrons. Capacity falls as gain rises.

Conversion gain
The electrons represented by one digital count. The electrons represented by each count fall as gain rises.

Dynamic range
The span between the noise floor and saturation. It recovers around gain 100 and then falls with higher gain.

Read noise
Noise introduced when the sensor is read. At gain 100 the plotted noise drops from about 3 to about 1.4 electrons RMS.

Relative spectral response
The main sensor’s colour channels peak at different visible wavelengths. The guide sensor has a separate response curve.

Guide-sensor quantum efficiency
The separate SC2210 guide sensor peaks around 500 nm at roughly 92%, then responds less strongly at longer wavelengths.
