Note:
External power supplies are needed for all ASl-cooled cameras. We recommend you use a 12V@3A~5A DC adapter (D5.5×2.1mm, center pole positive) or a lithium battery with 11-14V to power the camera. You can also use ASIAlR to power the cameras. Be aware that using a power supply out of this voltage range will probably lead to irreparable damage to the camera.
One Camera for All
The STARVIS 2 technology brings ASI585MC Pro more advanced imaging performance compared to other cooled cameras. Its high frame rate makes it not only suitable for DSO photography but also solar/lunar/planetary photography.

STARVIS 2
STARVIS 2 was developed by SONY and evolved from STARVIS. It is the latest technology with a wider dynamic range and super-high sensitivity beyond the human eye. Benefiting from it, ASI585MC Pro’s sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio is greatly improved.
Large Full Well Capacity
The back-illuminated structure improves the camera’s full well capacity. Even with unbinned 2.9μm pixels, ASI585MC Pro has a full well capacity of 40ke-, nearly 3 times that of the last-generation sensor IMX485. A larger full well capacity gets the camera higher efficiency in collecting light, can effectively restrain the highlight area from being overexposed, and also can improve the signal-to-noise ratio.
Zero Amp Glow
ASI585MC Pro exhibits extremely clean dark frames with zero amp glow! No matter how long the exposure and how high the gain value is, you can easily get clean and smooth astro images!
Note: This feature is implemented directly at the hardware level, it does not require software control.
512MB DDR3
ASI585MC Pro uses a USB 3.0 interface, along with the built-in 512MB DDR3 cache, ensuring high-speed, smooth, and stable data transmission.
USB 3.0 Port & USB 2.0 HUB
USB 3.0 Port: Provides 5Gb bandwidth to allow ASI585MC Pro to run at 47fps at 8.29MP full resolution (10bit, high-speed mode).
USB 2.0 HUB: Can be used to connect various kinds of USB devices such as EFW, guide camera, and EAF.
Two-stage TEC Cooling
Thanks to the two-stage TEC cooling, ASI585MC Pro can lower the CMOS sensor temperature to more than 35 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature, which can greatly reduce dark current generation and sensor noise even during extended exposure times.
*The Delta T 35℃ is tested at 30℃ ambient temperature. It might get down when the cooling system is working for a long time. Also, as the ambient temperature falls, the Delta T would decrease.
Below is the dark current curve of ASI585MC Pro at the temperature from -20℃ to 30℃.
Camera Performance
Low read noise, High dynamic range
The camera has a built-in HCG mode, which can effectively reduce read noise at high gain and allow the camera to maintain the same high dynamic range as it does at low gain. When the gain reaches 252, the HCG mode will be automatically turned on and the dynamic range reaches a level close to 11bit. The read noise in this case can be as low as 0.9e. QE (Quantum efficiency)
Based on our testing results, the QE peak value of ASI585MC Pro is 91%. Connection Methods (Back Focus Distance: 55mm)

How to Use
To use this T-Ring, place the E-Mount T-Ring on your Sony mirrorless camera. Just like changing a lens, line up the T-Ring to your camera’s lens mount. Push it in and turn until you hear a click. The T-Ring has a sturdy bayonet flange that locks for a secure fit. Once you attach the T-Ring to your camera, you’re ready to connect your telescope. The telescope side of the T-Ring has threads that accept a variety of camera adapters, including the Celestron T-Adapter. The adapter you choose depends on the type of photography you wish to do.
Body
The Sony E-Mount 42mm T-ring is machined aluminum black anodized. The internal surfaces are blackened and glare-threaded to provide the highest contrast. The T-Ring has a ribbed surface for a secure grip while threading/unthreading. The Sony E-Mount 42mm T-Ring is compatible with M42 x 0.75 (T-Thread) camera adapters.
A T-Ring is one of the first accessories you will need to take pictures through a telescope or spotting scope. If you have a Sony E-mount mirrorless camera body, the Celestron E-Mount T-Ring is the one for you. This T-Ring fits Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras only. It will not work with other Sony A-mount camera bodies without adding a Sony adapter to convert those cameras to E-mount.

Enhance your Canon EOS R series mirrorless cameras with our Saxon T-Mount adapter, meticulously designed to marry your camera with the universe of telescopic imaging. This adapter is the linchpin for attaching your Canon mirrorless camera to a T2 (M42) thread, ensuring a flawless connection for your astronomical adventures.
The adapter comes with an ingenious removable internal M42 thread, easily detached with the included hex key, paving the way for a variety of additional connections (available separately). Upgrade to an M48 x 0.75 thread with our specialized adapter, ideal for those using full-frame sensors where a standard T2 connection may lead to vignetting.
This adapter maintains the critical 25mm distance from the sensor to the female thread, safeguarding the integrity of your imaging pathway. Whether capturing the majesty of a nebula or the intricate craters of the moon, our adapter ensures a comprehensive, unrestricted field of view for the most demanding astrophotographers.
$499.00
Enjoy the most dazzling views of nebulae with your Celestron Origin when you add this H-alpha H-beta OIII (Hα-Hβ-OIII) imaging filter. This specialized filter allows high throughput of light wavelengths in emission nebulae while blocking other wavelengths that could diminish image quality and detail. The result is bright, colorful nebulae images that “pop” with detail against the black sky background.
How does the Nebula Filter for Origin work? Emission nebulae primarily emit at discrete wavelengths of light—Hα at 656nm, Hβ at 486nm, and OIII at 496/501nm. By strategically transmitting only these wavelengths of light and blocking the rest of the spectrum, the filter dramatically reduces the effect of light pollution. The “bad” light is blocked while the “good” light associated with emission nebulae passes through to Origin’s sensor.
You’ll immediately notice much higher contrast in your images, especially from your light-polluted backyard! And since the transmission at the critical wavelengths is so high, the nebula will not be dimmed—only the background will be blacker. You’ll also notice some contrast improvement in images of nebulae from darker skies, as the filter serves well in blocking natural skyglow.
Nebula Hunting
The Nebula Filter is perfect for imaging emission nebulae like the North America Nebula (NGC 7000), Lagoon Nebula (M8), Orion Nebula (M42), the Carina Nebula (NGC 3372), and dozens more. The imaging filter offers maximum light transmission in the key Hα-Hβ-OIII wavelengths, producing high contrast for emission nebulae like these.
The transmission spectrum for the Nebula Filter is 85% or greater at key wavelengths (486nm, 496nm/501nm, 656nm) and less than 0.5% transmission elsewhere. As a narrowband filter, it blocks much of the visible spectrum and only lets these specific wavelengths through. Because of this, you should not use this filter while observing or imaging broadband emission objects, such as galaxies and star clusters. For those objects, you’ll achieve the best results by removing the nebula filter and reinstalling Origin’s clear optical window.
Other similar imaging filters on the market have much narrower bandpasses at the critical Hα-Hβ-OIII wavelengths. Unfortunately, these filters block much of the incoming Hα-Hβ-OIII light for an f/2.2 optical system like Origin’s 6” RASA. This is because a RASA brings light into the filter at a steeper angle, which causes a spectral shift. If you use filters not explicitly designed for use at f/2.2, some of the light from the nebula will be blocked, resulting in a dimmer image. The Nebula Filter for Origin was custom-engineered to work at f/2.2, so none of the “good” light from the nebula is inadvertently blocked by the filter.
Body and Storage
The filter features a machined aluminum black anodized cell with a knurled rim for easy grip during installation. We’ve added anti-reflection coatings to help suppress reflections on the glass. The filter fits directly into the filter drawer in the Celestron Origin’s front lens cell, where the optical window sits. Simply remove the clear window and replace it with the filter. Origin maintains its optical performance across the entire system with the filter installed. No other adapter is needed.
Each filter comes with a foam-lined plastic storage case to safely store the filter or the optical window glass that came with your Celestron Origin when not in use.
Celestron tests every Nebula Filter for Origin individually to verify its performance. Along with your filter, you will receive a spectral transmission graph (like the one pictured above) showing the results of your filter’s test and verifying it performs as expected throughout the spectrum.
Please note this is for the Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory

Antlia SII 3nm Pro narrowband filter optimizes the FWHM (full-width half maximum) to 3nm bandpass. As the bandwidth becomes narrower, the 3nm Pro narrowband filters enhance the contrast of emission targets by lowering the unwanted background signal. Antlia SII 3nm Pro filter is designed to deliver 88% transmission at the 671.6nm line which provides you with the maximum signal and well-defined nebulae structures.
Conventional broader narrowband filters cause a heavy loss in transmission due to the strong (Center Wavelength (CWL)-shift. We guarantee T>88% within 1nm range of the center bandwidth, which means that the 3nm Pro narrowband filter can guarantee high transmittance for working with both long focal ratios and fast optical systems. Blue-shift data show that Antlia SII 3nm Pro filters can be used with nearly all systems as fast as f/3 with minimal loss in emission signal and meet the requirements of fast optics like Hyperstar and RASA.
The out-of-band blocking specification is rated OD5 (0.001%) which delivers an excellent SNR(signal-to-noise ratio) and effective cut-off rate to minimize interference from other wavelengths. Improved sharp cut-off astrophotography 3nm Pro filters are designed to minimize halos around bright stars.
Application and Performance:
High transmittance and smallest bandwidth to maximize contrast
A steep spectral profile minimizes halos around bright stars
A single substrate to eliminate internal reflections
Narrowband Objects: SII Emission Nebulae, Planetary, Wolf-Rayet Nebulae and Supernova Remnants
Use in light-polluted areas and dark sites
Extend imaging time when the moon is up
All Antlia narrowband Pro filters can be used down to F/3 with a slight loss of signal
All Antlia Narrowband filters are edge-blackened to eliminate internal reflections from stray light
Superior optical reliability reduces post-image processing
This filter is not suited to deep-sky objects that do not contain SII emissions.

Starvis 2 Technology
If you're not familiar with SONY STARVIS technology it offers the ZWO ASI664MC outstanding image quality and image performance. High Transmission Speed
This camera has a USB 3.0 Interface, along with the built-in 256MB DDR# cache, ensuring high-speed, smooth, and stable data transmission. ZWO ASI664MC vs ZWO ASI662MC
ZWO ASI664MC can be considered as an iteration of the ASI662MC. With the great improvement in sensor size and resolution, it provides a larger FOV and results in high-quality images containing more details. Zero Amp Glow
ZWO ASI664MC adopts no-glow circuitry to avoid annoying amp glow being produced and ensure the image quality no matter how long the exposure and how high the gain value is. (NOTE: This feature is implemented directly at the hardware level, it does not require software control.) Camera Curve
Low readout noise, high dynamic range
The camera has a built-in HCG mode, which can effectively reduce readout noise at high gain and keep the dynamic range at the same level as it does at low gain. At 252 and above the HCG is automatically turned on; the dynamic range is close to 11bit; the readout noise can be lower than 1.0e. Quantum Efficiency
QE noise and readout are very important parameters to measure the camera's performance. Higher QE and lower readout noise are necessary to improve the image signal-to-noise ratio. according to our estimation, the QE peak value of the ZWO ASI664MC is about 91% Protective Window
The ASI664MC adopts an AR-coated filter as a protective window (Diameter: 21mm, Thickness: 1,1mm). It improved the camera's performance in UV and NIR wavelengths.
