Benefits of Strainwave Designs
The Sky-Watcher 150i mount uses astrain wave design, commonly referred to as a harmonic drive . These types of mount mechanics come packed with a number of advantages for astrophotography, including very accurate precision tracking which is ideal for longer exposure imaging, zero backlash and smoother motion for stable tracking, compact designs for easier transport and a relatively high payload to weight ratio to accommodate a much wider range of equipment.
15kg Payload Capacity
The Sky-Watcher Wave 150i weighs only 5.8kg, yet it can handle a payload of 15kg without counterweights and up to 25kg with a counterweight.
Transmission Ratio of 300:1 Ensures Smooth Slewing and Tracking
The Wave 150i has a transmission ratio of 300:1, which represents a relatively high level of tracking and slewing accuracy since motor torque and rotation is divided into smaller increments, lessening any impact of jolts between rotations that could be apparent the longer exposures become. The maximum slew rate of the 150i is 2400x (10° per second).
Works at any Latitude
The Sky-Watcher Wave 150i has a working latitude range of 0° to 90°, meaning it can be operated successfully at any latitude and doesn’t suffer from limitations on more traditional gear mounts with counterweight obstruction and zenith out of range.
Supports Multiple Tracking
The Wave 150i supports sidereal, lunar and solar tracking. This means it can be reliably used for night-time astrophotography, moon capture and stunning solar imaging!
SynScan Features:
- Database with 42,900+ objects
- Messier, Caldwell, NGC, IC & SAO catalogues, Named Stars, Double Stars, Variable Stars, Named Stars

Comfortable automatic slew celestial objects with smartphone
Installing the app for smartphone or tablet enables automatic slewing and tracking as a controller of the SX2 equatorial mount.
Easy control of the equatorial mount with smartphone
It allows you to easily use function of celestial navigation such as automatic slewing of celestial objects with smartphone or tablet installing free app STAR BOOK Wireless.Eliminating a need for power consumption by the conventional LCD display, the power consumption on the equatorial mount side is reduced over 20% consequently supporting a longer astronomical observation and astrophotography.
App STAR BOOK Wireless inheriting the DNA of STAR BOOK TEN Controller
If you tap the celestial object you want to see on the star chart, it will be automatically slew into the field of view and tracking will start. Following the display of the STAR BOOK TEN controller, which has been highly evaluated for its comfortable operability, even existing STAR BOOK TEN users can use it without any discomfort.
Successor of the SX equatorial mount
While inheriting the excellent operability of the SX equatorial mount, it has been renewed with pulser motor of micro-step motion control that is used in the SXD2 series. Increasing the number of bearings from 1 to 5 pieces assures more stable operation.
Appropriate placement of weight balance enables weightless operation.
Heavy objects such as motors are placed intensively on the right ascension body, which rotates along the diurnal motion of the starry sky, and has a role as a weight. Depending on weight of optical tube, there may be no need for additional weight.
Dovetail structure allows opticcal tube for speedy setup.
The mounting position of the optical tube is designed with the defact standard dovetail created by Vixen. Optical tube can be set up easily without tools. For safety, it is also equipped with a screw that prevents the optical tube from falling off.
Retractable counterweight bar convenient for setup and withdrawal of equipment
Stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance is used for the counterweight bar. Retractable and storable in the equatorial mount body allows speedy setup. You can use the counterweight common to the SX series of 20 mm in diameter.

vixen Perfect for accurate polar alignment of the POLARIE U.
This sturdy panhead is designed to mount the POLARIE U onto a standard camera tripod. For precise polar alignment—especially when using the PF-LII polar alignment scope—you need to fine-tune the position of the POLARIE U. The Polar Fine Adjustment Unit DX makes this easy by allowing small, controlled movements in both vertical (up/down) and horizontal (side-to-side) directions.
Quick-release clamp is provided on the head of the unit.
The quick-release clamp is on the top of the polar fine adjustment unit DX. It is designed to securely hold a quick release angle plate or attachment plate of the thin standard type. Attaching or removing the plate is convenient as you simply turn a single handle.
An optional dovetail-plate mounting block is available for a versatile use.
As the two M8 thread holes placed at an interval of 35mm is provided on the head, the quick-release clamp can be exchanged for the dovetail-plate mounting block sold separately. It allows for mounting a Vixen optical tube such as an FL55SS.
Attachable to a variety of tripods from a 1/4" or 3/8" camera tripod to a tripod for telescopes.
The Polar Fine Adjustment Unit DX comes with a detachable tripod adapter plate on its bottom. This adapter is compatible with both 1/4" and 3/8" screw threads, making it easy to attach to most standard camera tripods. Additionally, you can swap the included adapter with another type (also supplied) to mount the unit onto Vixen tripod heads designed for astronomical telescopes.
Wide adjustable ranges: Altitude angles from -30 degrees to 90 degrees, 360 degrees in azimuth
The mounted camera can be tilted freely from 0 degrees (horizontal) to 90 degrees (vertical) by loosening the altitude clamp lever. For precise positioning, fine adjustments of up to ±7.5 degrees are available. The panhead can also tilt beyond 90 degrees in the opposite direction, allowing the camera to point slightly downward if needed.
Altitude fine adjustment or azimuth fine adjustment is easy with a pair of fine adjustment screws.
Unfastening one side of the adjustment screw will allow fastening the screw on the other side to adjust the direction finely. The adjustment screws can be tightened using an Allen wrench to hold the POLARIE U and a camera tightly.

The mount is solid too, greatly reducing the risk of unexpected movement of or even dropping your device. The angle and height can be freely adjusted to suit you and the KS-WL has an extension pole can be attached to extend the range of motion.
The Assist ARM series is accessories that was developed in collaboration with the camera tripod manufacturer SLIK.
In the recent years, as cameras have become increasingly sophisticated and precise in terms of technology, the camera industry demands greater and more secure support of such high-precise photographic equipment. One of the tools that can provide such secure support are of course tripods.
By teaming up with SLIK, a company that has a long tradition in making strong tripods for all kinds of cameras and that can withstand all kinds of environments, we were able to bring in their know-how and technology when designing the "Assist ARM" series, making it an accessory with high precision and outstanding stability.
Therefore, Kenko Assist ARM is designed not only to eliminate inconveniences when moving with a wheelchair, but also to ensure maximum user safety.
Firm and safe attachment for safety and convenience
The clamp that can be attached to the pipe of the wheelchair is made of aluminium and is very robust, so the risk of it suddenly coming off when the wheelchair is moving is extremely small.
The clamp can be attached to round pipes (17-32mm) and square pipes (Square: 22-28mm, Rectangle: short side 15-25mm / long side 25-28mm).
* When attaching to a pipe with a diameter of 17-22mm, a rubber tube (included) has to be used for a firm grip.
UNIVERSAL BALL-HEAD PROVIDES FREEDOM FOR ADJUSTMENT AND QUICK SET-UP
A universal ball-head provides freedom and allows precise adjustment.
The quick-release shoe also makes for a smooth set-up of gadgets such as iPad, iPhone, cameras, binoculars, and so on.
