The PROSTAFF 5 Fieldscopes are entry models of Nikon Fieldscopes and successors of the Spotting Scope RA III series. The PROSTAFF 5 Fieldscope main bodies are about 20% lighter than the current RA III spotting scopes.
The Nikon PROSTAFF 5 Fieldscope 82-A (no eyepiece) represent the basic models of Nikon 's Fieldscope series of monoculars and the successor to the RA III series. The bodies of the Fieldscope PROSTAFF 5 monoculars are 20% lighter than the currently used RA III monoculars. The new lens with eyepiece zoom minimizes color defects at the edge of the field of view and offers a large hanging exit pupil for comfortable observation. Three types of eyepiece lenses with digiscoping compatibility which connect to a wide variety of COOLPIX-series compact digital cameras, by using the FSB-series Digital Camera Bracket.

L-Quad Enhance Filter (L-QEF) is a quad bandpass light pollution suppression filter for colour cameras. It effectively suppresses the transmission of light pollution wavelengths, especially light pollution generated by artificial lighting (including mercury and sodium lamps), as well as the effects of natural skylight-induced effects on the shot, thus effectively enhancing the contrast and details of the celestial bodies, and making the objects more distinct and stereoscopic. This filter provides better color balance while improving resistance of light pollution. L-QEF can be used for both wide field astrophotography, such as the Milky Way in Summer and Winter, and deep sky objects such as nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, and so forth; It allows you to save a lot of time during the shooting process and get better results at the same time. The design of quad bandpass maximises the colour balance of nebulae, galaxies and other broadband spectral targets.
Key Features:
- Cuts out light pollution from mercury and sodium lamps and produces a nice broadband image with minimal colour cast;
- Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR);
- Near IR cut-off to 1000nm, reducing the effects of IR noise;
- L-QEF has more than 90% transmittance of the nebula emission lines at H-Beta/OIII/H-Alpha/SII, with cut-off depth from OD2 to OD4, thus providing a significant increase in resistance to light pollution. L-QEF is good for night sky from Bortel 1 to Bortel 7 levels; (Bortel 8, Bortel 9 environments shall not be recommended, kindly chose Optolong other narrow-band filters, 3nm, 7nm type of filters are available.);
- Suitable for wide range of deep sky targets: it covers most nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, reflected and emitted line signals astronomical objects with higher contrast and rich details while maintaining excellent colour balance. L-QEF is superior to other filters of the same type.

Based on the characteristics of celestial bodies’ emission lines and light pollution emission lines, L-Quad Enhance filter effectively reduces the impact of light pollution and suppresses the background light of astronomical objects, thus effectively enhancing the contrast and details of the celestial bodies. Using L-QEF filter can help you save a lot of time during the shooting process, yet obtaining incredible results.

Monarchs are already well-regarded by birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts worldwide, but the Monarch HG 10 x 42 is on another level entirely. Made in Japan, the exterior and optics have been completely redesigned, now featuring a magnesium alloy body and metal eyecups for added resistance to wear and tear, multilayer coating on all lenses and prisms, extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, and a wider field of view than even the wide-field Monarch 7s.
The barrels are completely waterproof and fogproof down to 5m depth and 5000m altitude, while most exciting of all is the addition of a field flattener, which assures a sharp and clear view all the way to the lens periphery. The end result is a pair of binoculars which perform well above their price-range, and have to be seen to be believed.
Key Features of the Nikon Monarch HG 10×42
Wide apparent field of view (62.2° for 10×42). While realising a wide field of view, the Field Flattener Lens System assures a sharp and clear view all the way to the lens periphery.
Extra-low dispersion (ED) glass corrects chromatic aberration that causes colour fringing and realises a contrast-rich and high-resolution image
High-quality multilayer coating is applied to all lenses and prisms while dielectric high-reflective multilayer coating is applied to the roof prisms, achieving a bright view of up to 92% or higher light transmittance, and natural colour fidelity
Phase-correction-coated roof prisms for high resolution and contrast
Scratch-resistant coating is applied on the objective lens and eyepiece surfaces
Long eye relief design ensures a clear field of view, even for eyeglass wearers
Lead- and arsenic-free glass is used for all lenses and prisms
Turn-and-slide rubber eyecups with multi-click facilitate easy positioning of eyes at the correct eyepoint
Dioptre adjustment ring locking system prevents unintentional rotation
Sturdy, lightweight magnesium alloy body
Superior waterproof/fogproof performance with a nitrogen-filled body that resists water pressure to a depth of up to 5m/16.4 ft. for 10 minutes and prevents fogging inside the optical system even in low-pressure environments up to altitudes of 5,000m/16,404 ft. equivalent
Soft-to-the-touch neck strap
Objective lens caps are integrated to prevent loss
Optional tripod adapter enables attachment to a tripod [TRA-3/Adapter H (hard type)

Reduces an astrophotography refractor’s effective focal length by a factor of 0.8x, providing a shorter, more optically fast focal ratio.
Designed for use with any refractor telescope equipped with a 2″ focuser ,focal lengths between 400mm to 660mm and focal ratios of f/5 to f/7.5
Back focus required: 55mm of
Also flattens the field for sharper stars at the edge of the frame
Coatings: Fully multi-coated
Clear aperture: 38mm
Mounting: Threaded
Weight (gms): 175
Some of the most picturesque celestial objects are too large to fit in the field of view of an imaging refractor and camera. What’s more, most objects in deep space are very faint and therefore challenging to image without taking very long exposures, increasing the potential for error. 0.8x Focal Reducer for Refractors addresses these obstacles by increasing your refractor telescope’s field of view while reducing the effective focal length by a factor of 0.8x, thereby providing a shorter, more optically “fast” focal ratio to increase astrophotography efficiency. Using the 0.8x focal reducer not only enables your refractor telescope to acquire a larger field of view, but also makes it capable of capturing bright, vividly detailed astrophotos.

Light pollution in the night sky can significantly degrade contrast in astronomical images. This is especially true when using very fast telescopes like the 8” RASA because the sky background saturates very quickly. The “noise” of the light pollution overwhelms the “signal” from the celestial object you are imaging, making it difficult to get the most detailed image.
The RASA 8 Light Pollution Filter remedies this by blocking light pollution while transmitting light from deep-sky objects. The result is bright, detailed objects that pop off the black sky background with superior contrast.
Fortunately, many sources of light pollution have relatively discreet emission spectra; they emit primarily at specific wavelengths of light. By strategically blocking these wavelengths, the filter greatly reduces the effects of light pollution without degrading overall image quality.
How it Works
The Light Pollution Imaging (LPI) Filter for the 8” RASA blocks light from some of the most common sources of light pollution between 400-700nm (i.e., the visible spectrum), including high- and low-pressure sodium-vapour streetlights, mercury-vapour streetlights, and natural airglow caused by oxygen in the atmosphere.
Unlike some light pollution filters, the LPI filter blocks only specific areas of the spectrum instead of wide regions. This helps to maintain image brightness and colour balance. In addition, specific wavelengths associated with emission nebulae, such as H-α(656nm), H-β (486nm), OIII (496nm and 501nm), and SII (672nm), are highly transmitted, ensuring minimal loss of image brightness for those objects.
The filter fits directly into the internal filter mount in the RASA 8’s front lens cell, where the optical window normally mounts. By removing the clear window and replacing it with the filter, optical performance for the entire system is maintained.
Each filter comes with a plastic storage case to safely store the filter or the placeholder glass that came with your RASA when not in use. You will also receive a spectral transmission graph unique to your specific unit, verifying its performance.

Bintel UHC Narrowband Filter – 1.25"
The Bintel UHC Narrowband Filter is designed to dramatically improve contrast when visually observing emission nebulae, especially from light-polluted suburban and city skies. By selectively passing key nebular emission lines while blocking common artificial light sources, it helps faint objects stand out more clearly against a darker background sky.
Unlike broadband filters, the UHC’s narrower passband delivers stronger contrast on classic nebulae such as The Orion Nebula, The Carina Nebula, The Lagoon Nebula and so many more. Even under urban lighting, brighter nebulae become easier to detect, while dark-sky observers will appreciate the added structure and subtle detail revealed.
Advanced multilayer dielectric coatings provide excellent transmission (over 97% across the passband) while fully blocking major light pollution lines. This high efficiency makes the filter particularly effective with small to medium aperture telescopes. Ion beam–hardened coatings ensure long-term durability and scratch resistance.
Key Features
-
Ultra High Contrast (UHC) narrowband design for visual observing

Farpoint Laser Collimator 650nm (1.25″ / 2″ )
All Farpoint laser collimators have a LIFE TIME Alignment Guarantee. We will realign any Farpoint laser collimator for free! But Farpoint lasers keep their factory alignment. This is due to our robust laser body and (most importantly) our unique alignment screw design explained below.
Farpoint lasers have EIGHT alignment screws instead of six, four, or even three as in some other lasers. Instead of a staggered arrangement (top hole, bottom hole, top hole) that can allow the diode to move, BOTH ends of the laser diode are held in place by two sets of directly opposing screws for precise and lasting alignment. Again, only Farpoint lasers have this superior alignment screw arrangement with four DIRECTLY OPPOSING screws aligning the top of the laser diode and another four DIRECTLY OPPOSING screws aligning the bottom of the laser diode.
Farpoint laser bodies are precisely machined from a single piece of aluminum in a single machining step, resulting in perfect alignment.
Farpoint lasers have a small aperture (0.76mm or 30/1000 of an inch) for less speckling and more precise reading of the laser beam’s position on the telescope mirror. Farpoint has the smallest aperture of any laser in the amateur astronomy market.

PLEASE NOTE: This version of the Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory is no longer available
Check out the new Mark II version here
Celestron Origin stands at the forefront of a new era in amateur astronomy, blending stargazing and astrophotography into a single, user-friendly experience. This intelligent, all-in-one home observatory takes the complexity out of traditional telescopes, transforming your backyard into a gateway to the cosmos. Packed with cutting-edge technology, Celestron Origin captures the beauty of celestial objects and brings them to life on your phone or tablet.
Celestron engineers drew on their decades of expertise while designing every detail, from Origin’s patented optical technology to its intuitive companion app. The result is a revolutionary new system that builds on Celestron’s legacy and makes astronomy more accessible, exciting, and fun than ever before.
RASA Optical Technology: Unleashing the Power of Light
At the heart of Celestron Origin lies the patented Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA)—a landmark advancement in optics. In the RASA design, the imaging sensor lies at the front of the telescope tube, not the back, creating an ultra-fast f/2.2 system with an extraordinarily wide field of view while providing sharp images to the edge. Since it launched in 2014, RASA technology has become the go-to choice for space surveillance and satellite tracking. National defense contractors, professional research astronomers, and governments trust RASA to detect tiny pieces of debris and space junk, keeping our vital communications satellites safe in orbit. For Origin, Celestron’s optical engineers developed a brand-new 6” RASA with all the same capabilities of an observatory-grade instrument in a grab-and-go package.
Thanks to RASA, Origin is in a class of its own, far outperforming other telescope designs. RASA simply delivers more photons in less time than a smaller and slower Newtonian reflector, refractor, or other entry-level telescope tube. RASA’s unique combination of speed, aperture, and performance ensures unparalleled image detail, even during short exposure times.
To take full advantage of the RASA optics, Celestron selected the Sony IMX178 color CMOS sensor to capture your data. It features STARVIS back-illuminated technology for the highest sensitivity and fast readout with low noise, helping to provide clear images as quickly as possible. This sensitive chip has small 2.4µm2 pixels for high resolution—a perfect match for the fast optical design.
Turning Every Backyard Observer into an Astroimager
Celestron Origin introduces a paradigm shift in astrophotography with its built-in AI algorithms. As the telescope captures data, these intelligent algorithms automatically stack and process every frame in real time. The result is a breathtaking display of celestial objects, rich with colour and detail. For the first time, astroimaging is accessible to enthusiasts of all skill levels, including those who have never used a telescope.

A Universe at Your Fingertips: StarSense Technology & the Origin App
Setting up Celestron Origin is a snap, thanks to its automated initialization process powered by StarSense technology. Place Origin outside, turn it on, and connect to the app. Then, you can choose to remain with your telescope or head indoors. In less than two minutes, Origin focuses itself, scans the night sky, autonomously aligns itself by matching star patterns overhead to its internal database, and notifies you that it’s ready to begin your astronomical adventure.
The Celestron Origin app, developed in collaboration with Simulation Curriculum, the makers of SkySafari™, offers an intuitive planetarium interface that simplifies navigation through the night sky. Using the planetarium view, hold your device up to the sky to look around using “compass mode”, and tap on any object you want to see (the best ones are highlighted). Or try the Tonight’s Best list, where Origin displays all the most impressive galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and more—based on your precise location and observing time. Forget about consulting a star chart or planning ahead; Origin is ready to show you the universe whenever you are.
Once you’ve chosen a target, Origin centres it precisely in the field of view. Switch to the camera view and press Start Imaging to begin capturing 10-second exposures. It’s that easy! You see the results come through in real-time as the target takes on more and more detail. As Origin works, it continually tracks the sky and adjusts its built-in dew prevention system to keep your images razor-sharp.
A Shared Cosmic Experience
Gone are the days of waiting in line to peer into an eyepiece. Origin fosters a sense of community as you share the awe-inspiring experience of exploring the night sky together. Whether your friends and family are in the same room or gathered outside, multiple people can connect to Origin, and stream the view with their own devices. Additionally, Origin allows you to cast the live feed to your smart TV or instantly save and share your astroimages, creating memorable moments beyond the confines of your backyard.
Ready for More? Advanced Features
As you grow in the hobby alongside Origin, it will continue to support you with more advanced features and functionality. For example, Origin has a built-in filter drawer that accepts standard 1.25” and 2” format filters. This allows you to install optional filters, which can be especially useful in imaging nebulae in light-polluted environments like the typical suburban backyard. For imaging broadband objects like galaxies and star clusters or objects from dark skies, remove the filter for more light-throughput and brighter images. Experiment with removable and interchangeable filters for results you can’t achieve with other systems’ fixed filters.
If you would like to try advanced image processing, Origin again has you covered. Unlike other systems, Origin stores all your RAW images for you. Connect via USB to import them into your favourite image-processing software for manual editing and stacking.
And how about putting Origin to work for you while you sleep? That’s no problem with the scheduled observations feature. Just tell the app which objects you want to capture. You’ll wake up to an array of spectacular images.
Gain a New Perspective Here on Earth
In addition to revealing distant worlds, Origin can also capture incredible views of land-based objects on Earth, day or night. During the day, you can manually slew Origin to capture landscapes and scenery. At night, Origin’s fast optics and sensitive camera allow you to see things in very dim ambient conditions for almost night vision-like performance. Look around your yard or campsite at night to see what you may be missing!
Take Your Astroimaging Studio Anywhere
Origin is a portable system that doesn’t require external Wi-Fi networks, so you can easily take it to remote dark skies in any car. The optical tube, mount, and tripod all easily assemble and disassemble without tools. Each component weighs less than 7.5kg. Optional carry cases are also available.
Your Origin system comes complete with everything you need to become an instant astronomer:

Binoculars for the great Australia Outdoors!
Pentax's 10x50 S-Series SP Binocular features large oversized fully multicoated 50mm objectives to reduce reflection and maximize light transmission through the entire optical path. Utilizing the traditional porro prism configuration gives scenes a rich depth of view for an immersive observation experience and provides a comfortable feel in the hand with a lot of surface area to maintain a sure grip. The large objectives and coatings maximize the amount of light getting to the user's eyes for exceptional low-light capabilities, and its high 10x magnification provides an immersive observation experience whether users are bird watching or comet hunting.
Fully-multi-coated optics assure maximum light transmission resulting in high quality viewing. Every surface of every element is fully coated minimizing internal glare and flare and giving a bright clear view. Aluminum-diecast body adds strength and durability. View your subjects even in dim light with high-quality BaK4 prisms that transmit more light at the edges to enhance illumination.
