Sky-Watcher 0.92x Reducer for Esprit 70EDX
Designed for serious astrophotographers. Optimised for the Sky-Watcher Esprit 70EDX. They effectively reduce the telescopes focal length by a factor of 0.92x and provide much improved field edge correction.
Â
New from Sky-Watcher - the smallest member of their Esprit range of APO triplet refractors
The Sky-Watcher 70mm Esprit 70EDX Triplet APO Refractor is a professional instrument for the most demanding and exacting astrophotographers. The air spaced apochromatic triplet lenses have exceptional colour correction over the entire visible spectrum there is no chromatic aberration even on bright objects! Knife edge baffles reduce internal reflections and increase contrast, helping to bring out faint structure in deep sky objects.

Field flattener for Sky-Watcher 150ED and 150EDX APO model telescopes
$10,599.00
New Sky-Watcher 150EDX APO Telescope - redesigned body with famous Esprit optics
**Due in late September/August**
Highlights:
- Air Spaced Apochromatic Triplet
- FPL-53 extra low dispersion glass
- Zero detectable colour fringing even on bright objects
- Diffraction limited optics
- Fully multi coated lenses
- 3″ CNC machined 11:1 dual speed linear power focuser – rotatable
- Indexed focuser tube
- Knife-edge baffled system to enhance contrast
The Sky-Watcher 150mm Esprit 150ED Triplet APO Refractor is a high-end instrument for astro-photographers seeking quality images that only a telescope of this size and optical design can produce. It's also ideal for extended visual observations of deep-space objects due to its remarkable contrast and light gathering ability.
The air spaced apochromatic triplet lenses use the remarkable Ohara FPL-53 ED (extra low dispersion) glass, with exceptional colour correction over the entire visible spectrum there is no chromatic aberration even on bright objects! Knife edge baffles reduce internal reflections and increase contrast, helping to bring out faint structure in deep sky objects.
A 2-element field flattener is available separately to iron out the natural off-axis astigmatism and field curvature of the objective lens, leaving a fully corrected 42mm field of view. Designed with photography in mind, it sits on two tracks above and below the barrel to prevent flexure with a heavy camera attached, and is fully rotatable to perfectly frame a target on the sensor.
In The Box:
- 150/1050 Apochromatic Refractor
- Fixed Dew Shield
- 2″ Dielectric Star Diagonal
- 9×50 Right Angled Erect Image Diagonal
- D Style dovetail Bar
- 2″ to 1.25″ Eyepiece Adaptor
- Aluminium Foam-Lined Case
