TMB Pro Series UV/IR Cut Imaging Filter
The TMB Pro Series UV/IR Cut Imaging Filter is designed to block ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light, allowing only visible wavelengths to reach your camera sensor. Most telescope optics are optimised for visible light, so blocking UV and IR helps produce sharper, more accurate images with improved contrast and detail.
This filter is ideal for colour CMOS and CCD cameras, and can also be used with monochrome cameras. In addition, it serves as a protective barrier for your imaging equipment, reducing the risk of dust settling on your optics during long exposure sessions.
With its robust optical design and high-quality coatings, the TMB Pro Series UV/IR Cut Filter ensures maximum light transmission in the visible spectrum while minimising unwanted wavelengths, making it a simple but essential tool for astrophotography.

Bintel UHC Narrowband Filter – 1.25"
The Bintel UHC Narrowband Filter is designed to dramatically improve contrast when visually observing emission nebulae, especially from light-polluted suburban and city skies. By selectively passing key nebular emission lines while blocking common artificial light sources, it helps faint objects stand out more clearly against a darker background sky.
Unlike broadband filters, the UHC’s narrower passband delivers stronger contrast on classic nebulae such as The Orion Nebula, The Carina Nebula, The Lagoon Nebula and so many more. Even under urban lighting, brighter nebulae become easier to detect, while dark-sky observers will appreciate the added structure and subtle detail revealed.
Advanced multilayer dielectric coatings provide excellent transmission (over 97% across the passband) while fully blocking major light pollution lines. This high efficiency makes the filter particularly effective with small to medium aperture telescopes. Ion beam–hardened coatings ensure long-term durability and scratch resistance.
Key Features
-
Ultra High Contrast (UHC) narrowband design for visual observing
-
Strong enhancement of emission nebulae contrast
-
High transmission at H-beta (486.1nm) and OIII (495.9nm & 500.7nm)
-
Over 97% transmission across the passband
-
Effectively blocks common light pollution wavelengths
-
Durable multilayer dielectric, ion beam–hardened coatings
-
Standard 1.25" filter thread fits most eyepieces
Specifications
-
Type: UHC light pollution suppression filter
-
Size: 1.25" (standard thread)
-
Material: Optical glass with aluminium cell
-
Application: Screws directly into the barrel of 1.25" eyepieces
An essential visual filter for anyone who enjoys observing nebulae, the Bintel UHC Narrowband Filter delivers noticeably darker skies, brighter nebulae, and more rewarding views, especially where light pollution would otherwise limit what you can see.

TMB Pro Series Duo-Band Nebula Imaging Filter
The TMB Pro Series Duo-Band Nebula Imaging Filter is designed for astrophotographers using colour cameras who want to capture emission nebulae in stunning detail without investing in a full mono camera setup. This dual-band filter works by letting through only two specific colours of light, Hα (656 nm) and OIII (500 nm), which are the wavelengths most emitted by many nebulae. By blocking most other light, including light pollution and moonlight, it makes faint nebulae stand out more clearly in your images. It works especially well on well-known targets such as the Orion Nebula, Carina Nebula, Lagoon Nebula, and Trifid Nebula, but will also enhance contrast on virtually any emission nebula across the sky.
Ideal for One-Shot Colour (OSC) cameras, the filter provides an easy way to explore narrowband imaging while retaining natural colour. Its precision optical design features finely polished Schott glass, double-sided anti-reflection coatings, and a robust anodised aluminium cell, ensuring excellent light transmission, minimal reflections, and long-term durability.
Available in standard 1.25” and 2” sizes, the TMB Pro Series Duo-Band Filter is compatible with almost all standard colour cameras and filter wheels, making it a practical solution for deep sky imaging in urban or light-polluted environments.
Key Features:
-
Dual bandpass for Hα (656 nm) and OIII (500 nm)
-
Enhances contrast of emission nebulae
-
Reduces interference from moonlight and artificial light pollution
-
High-quality Schott glass with anti-reflection coatings
-
Robust CNC-machined anodised aluminium cell with laser-engraved markings
-
Standard 1.25” or 2” sizing for wide compatibility

From the start, the Astronomik OIII filter has been very specifically designed for the visual observation of gaseous and planetary nebulae. The extremely narrow pass band of the two OIII lines brings a substantial contrast gain to these lines even under best observation conditions. On faint super nova remnants and faint planetary nebulae the Astronomik OIII filter will often make the difference as to whether the object can bee seen or not!
The optimal aperture ratio for the use of the filter is 1:3.7 to 1:15 with apertures of more than 6" (150mm). Transmission losses and chromatic distortions, which arise with other filters, occur with Astronomik OIII filters only when extremely bright aperture ratios of 1:3 and more come into play. The Astronomik OIII filters thus can expand the view of dispersed objects, generally speaking, to the whole visual field of view of the eyepiece and are not limited to only the center of the eyepiece.
Main use
Since enough light must be available to make use of the OIII filter it is best to use this filter with apertures of more than 6" (150mm). Smaller instruments do not gather enough light for meaningful and satisfying astronomical work. However, please note: Many experienced Deep Sky observers, with apertures of more than 10" (250mm), prefer using the OIII filter instead of the more versatile UHC filter. Due to the high optical quality of the Astronomik OIII filter substrate you will see the same needle-sharp stars as you would from your regular telescope.
Ever tried look at the Full Moon through a telescope? You'll know just how bright it can be!
The saxon 1.25" Moon Filter helps reduce glare and increase the contrast of the Moon allowing you to see the fine details on craters, mountains and across the Lunar plains, called Mare.
