Fluorite lens
A fluorite lens with less chromatic aberration is used to create a sharp image with less color bleeding.
Vixen standard Arimizo, equipped with camera tripod screw
Equipped with slide bar M. It can be mounted as it is on a stand with Vixen standard Arimizo such as AP series and SX series. Equipped with 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch screws. It can be mounted on a commercially available camera tripod.
Compatible with finder (sold separately)
Equipped with screws compatible with the Arimizo finder pedestal (sold separately). Compatible with the separately sold finder (finder legs).
Features
Compact photo visual lens barrel
A very compact photo visual lens barrel equipped with a fluorite lens.
In combination with the high-resolution HR series eyepiece, it demonstrates high visual performance despite its small aperture and short focus. Especially when observing the moon and planets, you can get a higher-grade powerful image.
It can also be used as a high-performance astro camera by using a dedicated flattener lens and reducer lens (sold separately) together. It creates a sharp image over the entire field of a full-frame SLR camera.

Highly advanced "photo andvisual" optical design, the flagship of Vixen SD apochromatic refractors.
Vixen AX103 features a three element objective lens, incorporating an SD lens in its center, and the fourth lens inside of the focuser drawtube. This advanced optical design produces crystal-clear, sharp and high contrast images with no trace of falese color. In spot diagrams of the AX103S, the star images are extremely concentrated and are seen as small as 20 microns at the edge of ther file of view. The precision multicoatings applied to each surface to the lenses enhances visible light transmission to 99.5% on any single surface. An optional AX103 reducer which produces fast F5.6 forcal ratio is best for imaging of deep sky objects.

For both planetary and deep sky observing and photographic applications.
Vixen's original Catadioptric design, consisting of two high reflectivity dielectric mirrors and a unique double meniscus lens unit in front of the secondary mirror, virtually eliminates both spherical aberration and field curvature excellently and delivers high quality of images. With the large 260mm aperture, the VMC260L is a true all purpose telescope in your observing sessions.
The VMC features a combination of a miniscus lens unit in front of the secondary mirror and high-precision spherical mirrors that are shaped with extreme accuracy. Spherical aberration and curvature of field are corrected to a high level of optical performance for clear and sharp images. With its 260mm aperture dielectric coated mirror, the VMC260L collects enough light for serious visual and photographic applications and for both planetary and seep sky observing.
