Tele Vue 0.8x Reducer Adapter to 2 Inch Focuser
This is a key component to the imaging system's versatility on non-"is" scopes. By placing the Imaging System Nosepiece for 2" Focuser in your standard 2" drawtube, you open up your telescope to accept the 2.4" Imaging System accessories and take advantage of the solid threaded connection.
$770.00
Tele Vue 0.8x Reducer/Flattener RFL-4087
TV-102 and TV-102is
Model FL-4087 Tele Vue 0.8x Reducer/flattener TV102 is a 0.8x Reducer/Flattener for TV-102 and TV-102is scopes and any 800-1000mm focal length refractor for imaging with up to 35mm camera formats. For TV-102 (non-"is") it requires the RAD-1074 Reducer Body Adapter for 2" focusers.
This reducer/flattener requires Imaging System camera adapter such as CWT-2070 (Canon Wide T-Adapter with Bayonet for 2.4" Focusers), STL-1071 (SBIG STL Camera Adapter), or TRG-1072 (Standard T-Ring Adapter) to connect to camera.
Looking for a corrector for the Tele Vue 101is/127is? Check out the Tele Vue Large Field Corrector.
$670.00
Model TRF-2008 Tele Vue 0.8x Reducer/flattener 400-600mm converts TV-85 to 480mm f/5.6 and TV-76 to 380mm f/5.0 for flat field, fast photography. Fully multi-coated 3-element unit inserts directly into 2" focuser, accepts standard T-rings for 35mm cameras. Whilst designed for use in the TV-76 and TV-85, it can be used with other fast refractors between 400mm and 600mm focal length.
Used in prime-focus imaging, reducers increase photographic speed while flatteners decrease image curvature away from the center.
Important Note: The following products were all designed for an optimum 55mm back focus. (Distance from flange surface to film or CCD plane). If you use a CCD, be sure the spacing between flange and CCD is 56mm +/-2mm for best results.
"This accessory is a must-have for someone planning to use the TV-85 photographically" - review in Sky & Telescope, July 1999. Also it can be used with any 400-600mm refractor.

Tele Vue 2 - 1.25 Inch Adapter, HiHat
The "high-hat" adapter is specially designed with a high rise head to keep Tele Vue Barlows and Powermate™ amplifiers away from the diagonal mirror.
$150.00
The Tele Vue 2”-1¼” Adapter - Satin, HiHat adapter is specially designed with a high rise head to keep Tele Vue Barlows and Powermate™ amplifiers away from the diagonal mirror. Has a Satin finish.
$130.00
"Flat-top" model
A flat-top model allows closer placement of the eyepiece. Use with Newtonian reflectors, Tele Vue Paracorr, 2" Powermate, and 2" Big Barlow.
These adapters allows use of 1¼" eyepieces in any 2" focuser or diagonal.
All models feature brass clamp ring or nylon-tipped set screw for secure, no-mar locking and safety undercut.
Note: We purposely do not put 2" filter threads in 2" to 1¼" adapters. The reason is to avoid your getting upset when you insert a 1¼" Barlow and it crunches your expensive 2" filter. Safety first.
$150.00
Tele Vue 2 Inch Extension Tube
Telescope drawtube extensions help your telescope reach focus when not using a diagonal — as is the case in many imaging applications. They are also useful (with or without diagonal) when you need more out-travel for focusing on nearby terrestrial subjects.
Tele Vue extension tubes slip into any telescope's 2" drawtube and include brass clamp rings to prevent marring of accessory barrels.
$80.00
The Tele Vue EBX-2120 2" Eyepiece Barrel Extender increases backfocus distance and provides a mounting location for 2" (48mm) eyepiece filters. It can also help parfocalize eyepiece sets. Extender adds 1.2-inches to the 2" barrel.
Models with dual 2" / 1¼" barrels can use the extender.
The EBX-2120 makes the 12mm approximately parfocal with the 17mm and 22mm Nagler Type-4 eyepieces when used in a Tele Vue 2" diagonal.
Because the field stop is located near the bottom of the chrome eyepiece barrel, you will need to rack your focuser out further, relative to most other eyepieces. If you find that you cannot rack your focuser out enough to achieve focus, Tele Vue strongly recommend you purchase the EBX-2120. This will make Tele Vue's 55mm Plössl eyepiece approximately parfocal with the Tele Vue 27mm Panoptic eyepiece.

The Tele Vue 2x Barlow provides double the magnification when used with any 1.25" eyepiece in your collection. For more magnification check out the Tele Vue 3x Barlow.
The chart below shows the effective magnification when spacing is introduced between the Barlow lens and image plane of your camera or eyepiece
Properly designed Barlows do wonderful things: They amplify power, slow the telescope's f/# (improving eyepiece sharpness), and give designers the opportunity to compensate for eyepiece aberrations.
Tele Vue Barlows use multi-coated high index glasses for optimum aberration correction, exceptional contrast with virtually no light loss. Observed performance is aberration free, even when tested with f/4 scopes. They even improve our competitor's eyepieces and telescopes!
Compromise image quality in any part of the optical chain and you've compromised every part! Tele Vue product design and execution deliver consummate satisfaction. Every Tele Vue Barlow must pass the same rigorous f/4, full field testing as all our eyepieces.
All Tele Vue Barlows now use brass clamp rings for secure, non marring holding of eyepieces and accessories.
Offered in 2x and 3x magnifications, these 1¼" Barlows perform identically. Simply choose either or both based on your eyepiece collection. Features include parfocal-ization, 1¼" filter threads, captive lock screws that won't fall out and full multicoatings.
$270.00
These rings clamp onto your telescope to provide an attachment point for Tele Vue mounts. Felt lining on interior surface protects telescope finish. Rings include two mounting channels for Tele Vue finder accessories — such as Starbeam with Tele Vue base, Sol-Searcher, Piggy-Cam and others.
For TV-76, TV-85 or any telescope with outside tube diameter of exactly 3-inches. Finish matches focuser body and dew shield of current production telescopes.
$290.00
The Tele Vue 3x Barlow provides triple the magnification when used with any 1.25" eyepiece in your collection. For less magnification check out the Tele Vue 2x Barlow.

Reviews
Excerpt from Living Bird article by Dr. KenRosenberg, director of conservation science at Cornell University's Lab of Ornithology.
TeleVue has introduced a new 60mm scope for birders, which includes the 45-degree prism, and when fitted with the same 8-24mm zoom provides powers from 15-45x. This scope is comparable in size, weight, and image quality to the best Swarovski or Kowa spotting scopes and may cost considerably less, ...

Excerpts from Dennis di Cicco review of the TV-60 in Sky & Telescope, December 2004
Even at 120x, brilliant Vega, one of the most challenging stars for a refractor to image cleanly, appears as a blue-white Airy disk surrounded by several white diffraction rings and no perceptible color halo.
— di Cicco, D. "Pint-Size Powerhouse: Tele Vue's TV-60". Sky & Telescope (Dec. 2004).
Read what SmartMoney has to say about the TV-60
SmartMoney magazine, The Wall Street Journal Magazine of Personal Business, is all about recommending the wisest buys for their readers. The 'Smart Spending' section of the November, 2004, issue features the article Stargazing; "Today's telescopes are so high-tech they seek out stars themselves. But we wondered: What would the world's top amateur astronomer think of them?" In this context, the Tele Vue-60 was chosen the winner by David Levy after checking out four other scopes and the Tele Vue-60.The article concludes: "Our winner gave us the best view of Jupiter, and without any gizmos. 'This is a sweet instrument,' Levy says."
— Light, J. "Stargazing". Smart Money (Nov. 2004). 133-135.
Excerpts from Raymond Shubinski's review of the TV-60 in Astronomy magazine
A note of caution: You may find yourself spending more time looking through the Tele Vue-60 than through your larger scope.
— Shubinski, R. "The Tele Vue-60". Astronomy (Nov. 2004).
Excerpts from Randy Roy's comments on Cloudy Nights Telescope Reviews website.
If you want wide field, pristine, color free views throughout a wide range of magnification -- if you want a scope that is a superfinder, a guidescope, a piggyback refractor, or an ultra-light travel scope -- and if you demand the best in fit, finish and build quality -- buy this. I've not seen anything else in its class that does so much.
— Roy, R. "Televue-60 APO". Cloudy Nights Telescope Reviews (Feb. 4, 2004).
Excerpts from TV-60 review by Ed Ting, published on The Telescope Review Web Site
- TeleVue's newest telescope is a cute little 60mm f/6 apo. In a departure from their usual styling, the TV60 has a sleek, tapered black body that resembles a spotting scope. .... The construction is heavy-duty and very serious. There's a sliding bar on the bottom that's very similar to the one on the Ranger. Like the Ranger, it has a helical focuser and drawtube assembly. Unlike the Ranger, the TV60 adds a nice sliding dew shield.
- The scope has impressive optics. .... No false color was noted. At only 15X (with a 24 mm Panoptic) Titan could be seen as a tiny pinpoint dot next to the planet. You can see Cassini's Division on Saturn at 70x (with a 5 mm Type 6 Nagler.) .... The Trapezium was easily resolved, .... Castor is an easy split. Most impressively, the scope split Rigel, again at 70X. On deep sky, you have to make some allowances for the small aperture. M35 is just starting to resolve, but the other nearby clusters (M37, M36, M38) look like similar faint smudges in the eyepiece. Not exciting, but again, we're only talking about a 60 mm telescope here.
- I once heard small scopes like this described as "One-Hour Telescopes." You get to see pretty much everything you want to see in about an hour. As such, the TV60 is a great quick peek or travel scope.
- Update, 2/7/04: TeleVue informs me that they plan to offer an X-Y heavy duty version of their Starbeam mount, so that the TV60 can be mounted on a larger scope.
— Ting, E. "Tele Vue-60". The Telescope Review Web Site (Feb. 1, 2004).

Tele Vue 85 OTA
The Tele Vue-85's mix of aperture and small physical size makes it a wonderful "go anywhere, do anything," crossover instrument—with Tele Vue quality, of course. With APO performance and airline portability, the Tele Vue-85 has been delighting astronomy and birding enthusiasts and reviewers alike. "Eye-popping performance that raises the standard of excellence for highly portable instruments." Evaluation of double-stars, lunar detail, deep sky and photography were reported in Sky and Telescope as: "Truly awesome! ...Incredible!...the view almost blew me off my chair!..." The conclusion, "...an extremely powerful, compact instrument capable of delivering stunning images of the universe."
The Better View Desired website reviewer summed up the Tele Vue "experience" when he said he would choose the Tele Vue-85, "...to really enjoy the incredible beauty of the living birds... And, even now, every time I look at a bird through one of the exceptional conventional spotting scopes, I'll be thinking: 'I wonder what this would look like through the Tele Vue-85? I wonder what this bird really looks like?'" Yes, pure enjoyment of nature's beauty without awareness of a thing in between.

The Tele Vue 2x BIG Barlow doubles the magnification of any 1.25 inch or 2 inch eyepiece in your collection. For the regular 1.25 inch variant check out the Tele Vue 2x Barlow and Tele Vue 3x Barlow.
The chart below shows the effective magnification when spacing is introduced between the Barlow lens and image plane of your camera or eyepiece
TeleVue Barlows use multi-coated high index glasses for optimum aberration correction, exceptional contrast with virtually no light loss.Observed performance is aberration free, even when tested with f/4 scopes.
They even improve non TeleVue eyepieces and telescope performance.
Compromise image quality in any part of the optical chain and you've compromised every part!
TeleVue product design and execution deliver consumate satisfaction.
Every TeleVue Barlow must pass the same rigorous f/4, full field testing as all TeleVue eyepieces.
Offered in a 2x magnification, the Big Barlow is ideal for Newtonian scope owners.
It will be parfocal with both 2" and 1 1/4" eyepieces in this application.
Features include threads for 48mm filters, captive lock screw and full milti-coatings.
Note: The Tele Vue 2x BIG Barlow is not recommended for use with 2" diagonals because it's length prevents it from being parfocal. With some telescopes, focus might not be reached, particularly when the Panoptic interface lens is also used with it. A far better approach with no potential problems in any scope or with any eyepieces is to use the 2" 2x Powermate (PMT-2200), which essentially includes the Pan-Barlow Interface

Tele Vue BIG Paracorr - Type 2 (3inch)
Tele Vue's 3" BIG Paracorr Type-2, designed by Paul Dellechiaie, extends the Paracorr type 2's optical benefits for imaging applications by amateurs and professionals using CCD formats as large as 52mm diagonal and paraboloids as fast as f/3. Back focal length has been extended to 80mm to allow for additional accessories to be placed in the optical path. The 5.1" length optical assembly is topped with a "stop" flange having 3.40"-24 pitch threads to mount camera adapters and spacer tubes (available later).
Paracorr Eats Coma
Paracorr can be used with both 2" and 1¼" eyepieces. For visual use, slip Paracorr Type-2 into your focuser like a Barlow lens, and your eyepiece into Paracorr. (3" BIG Paracorr Type-2 requires adapter and tunable top for visual use). 1¼" eyepieces will make use of Paracorr's special low profile 1¼" reducing adapter. Paracorr is threaded for 2" filters.

The Tele Vue DeLite 11mm is a versatile medium focal length eyepiece. Generally eyepieces in the 9-15mm focal length range are excellent all-rounders. The DeLite 11mm could well be an ideal choice as your main high quality eyepiece.
Available in 18.2, 15, 11, 9, 7 and 5mm focal lengths, the DeLite series is a delightful addition to Tele Vue's visionary line of eyepiece developments. Named DeLite because that best describes the viewing experience, the name also recognizes designer Paul Dellechiaie's work.

Early reviews of the Tele Vue DeLite 62° Apparent Field Eyepieces
Excerpt from Tom Trusock's March 2016 review in Astronomy magazine.
- Eyepieces are a visual astronomer's window to the universe. And history shows that Tele Vue led the revolution in high-quality wide-field eyepieces with its introduction of the Nagler line in the early 1980s. Company founder Al Nagler was the driving force and principal optical designer on all eyepieces until the introduction of the Ethos line, when protégé Paul Delechiaie stepped up to the plate. Delechiaie went on to design the Delos line and, most recently, the DeLite line.
- Tele Vue targeted the DeLites, introduced just before the 2015 Northeast Astronomy Forum convention, at observers looking for an economical high-end eyepiece that's small and light yet provides diffraction-limited performance, high contrast, and generous eye relief.
- At night, contrast was superb, enabling me to make out fine detail within the planetary bands of Saturn. And in the rings, the Cassini Division was obvious though ... smaller scopes. The eyepieces showed no sign of scattered light or ghost images, and transmission was quite good. Also, I noted no glare or internal reflections. Although I tend to prefer using single eyepieces to achieve desired magnifications, that's not always possible. So, it was good to learn that these eyepieces worked well with Barlow lenses.
- I then moved to other targets. Through the 6-inch, the gold and blue of Albireo (Beta <ß> Cygni) simply popped. Through the 18-inch, the Hercules Cluster (M13) was a jellyfish of suns against a deep-black background, and stars were pinpoint out to the edge of the field.
- Tele Vue has once again created a line of all-around excellent eyepieces, good for both planetary and deep-sky work. Selling points are long eye relief, a small and light design, and the relatively inexpensive cost. The DeLite line should be on your must-view-through list of eyepieces at the next star party.
— Trusock, Tom. "We Test Tele Vue’s DeLite Eyepieces". Astronomy (2016 March). Read Full Review.
Excerpts from review in Sky at Night magazine.
This trio of parfocal lenses live up to their name -- they are a delight
- The DeLite eyepieces deliver a fantastic image, free from aberration and very crisp -- exactly what a good eyepiece should do.
- The lockable eyeguard and 20mm eye relief means that the DeLites are perfect for those who swap between wearing spectacles too.
- Ultimately, the excellent design of the DeLites provides an eyepiece that you forget about. Instead you find yourself concentrating on the thing your telescope was pointed at, and this, after all, is what a telescope and its supporting optics are supposed to do.

Excerpts from Dennis di Cicco's "Quick Look" review of "Tele Vue's New DeLite Eyepieces" in Sky & Telescope.
-
WHAT WE LIKE
- Upholds Tele Vue's reputation for optical excellence
- Comfortable to look through
- Adjustable eye guard with locking collar
- Works with Dioptrx astigmatism corrector
- While many of Tele Vue's recent eyepiece introductions have established new standards for the wide-field observing experience, the DeLites have far more modest specifications.
- What makes the DeLites special, however, comes from looking through them.
- I tried them with four scopes - a 12-inch f/4 Newtonian reflector fitted with Tele Vue's Big Paracorr coma corrector … a 12-inch f/5 Dobsonian; a 4-inch f/5.4 apo refractor, and a classic 6-inch f/9 Newtonian.
- As I've come to expect from all of Tele Vue's eyepieces, the DeLites offered superb views. Stars appeared as pinpoints across the entire field; there wasn't a hint of false color around even the brightest stars; and there was only a touch of pincushion distortion, meaning that round objects won't stretch into ovals as you sweep them across the field. Daytime views were contrasty and without a trace of color fringes even at the borders of high-contrast objects such as power lines seen against a bright sky.
- These are the features everyone looks for in a quality eyepiece, but the DeLites offered something more - something that I also found remarkable about the Tele Vue Delos eyepieces … . The DeLites are very easy to look through. You never get the feeling that you are struggling to get your eye perfectly aligned with the eyepiece. This comes as little surprise since Tele Vue acknowledges that the DeLite design evolved as a "smaller, more economical and lightweight version of the Delos." Even the name is a clever spin on a "lite" version of the Delos.
— di Cicco, Dennis. "Tele Vue’s New DeLite Eyepieces". Sky & Telescope (Sept. 2015). 64-65.

-
WHAT WE LIKE
- Upholds Tele Vue's reputation for optical excellence

The Tele Vue DeLite 18.2mm was one of the first in the DeLite series. It is the lowest power member and is an absolutely stunning eyepiece. If you are looking for a superb medium to low powered eyepiece on a moderate budget, the Tele Vue Delite 18.2mm would be an excellent choice.
Available in 18.2, 15, 11, 9, 7 and 5mm focal lengths, the DeLite series is a delightful addition to Tele Vue's visionary line of eyepiece developments. Named DeLite because that best describes the viewing experience, the name also recognises designer Paul Dellechiaie's work.

Tele Vue's Delos 10mm is a short to medium focal length eyepiece that will deliver amazing detail. Importantly though it still achieves a generous 20mm eye-relief and wide 72° apparent field of view. Amazing in well corrected refractors with short to medium focal lengths. The Delos 10mm is suitable for any focal length telescope. Some of the shorter focal length Delos eyepieces may provide too much power in long focal length Cassegrains. For example in an 8" f/10 telescope the 10mm Delos provides 200x magnification with eye-relief galore!
There is a good chance the TeleVue Delos will be seen as the ultimate combination of performance, viewing comfort and price. If you've been keeping a spot in your case for an affordable, premium eyepiece, you should consider a Delos - you won't be disappointed! Lessons learned from the tremendously successful Ethos series were applied to develop this long eye-relief, 72° apparent field of view eyepiece line.
The Delos 10mm for a standard 1.25" barrel diameter making it suitable for almost any telescope or even bino-viewers!
Tele Vue Delos 10mm - Specifications
- Model # EDL-10.0
- Focal Length 10mm
- Barrel Size 1.25"
- Apparent Field of View 72°
- Eye Relief 20mm
- Weight 408g
- Field Stop 12.7mm
Background:
In 2011 Tele Vue introduced the Delos, mid-to-short focal length line of 20mm eye-relief, 72° apparent field of view eyepieces. Every optical, mechanical, and ergonomic aspect was rethought to achieve reference-standard performance for any visual application.
The Delos was conceived as a narrower field Ethos. Reducing the field to 72° allowed freedom to increase eye-relief, while controlling pupil aberrations, all without making the eyepiece too large. With Ethos performance standards as benchmarks, the Delos design achieves full field sharpness, virtually perfect f θ (theta) distortion mapping, and color neutrality. Image fidelity is maximized utilizing glass matched multicoatings and anti-reflection surfaces throughout the eyepiece.
Contrast is further enhanced with a new, continuously adjustable height eyeguard system that can be locked in any position. Since the Delos eye-lens measures a quite large 35mm in diameter, preventing stray light from reflecting off the first surface and extraneous light from entering your eye pays off in a nice increase in perceived contrast. The eyeguard's sliding action allows for positioning the soft rubber eyeguard at the ideal height to suit the observer's preference. Indicator marks on the eyepiece body are handy reference guides for setting your perfect position. The eye-guard can also rotate for Dioptrx users.

Wide-Field Eyepieces That Pack a Planetary Punch
With the Delos, the eyepiece simply "disappears" and allows the observer to observe. I could find nothing whatsoever to complain about; the "twist and tighten" eye relief adjustment feature is the best I've ever seen in any eyepiece, and the optics are essentially perfect. Tele Vue somehow always finds a way to continuously improve upon their eyepieces and the Delos is certainly no exception. Bottomline: If you're in the market for a planetary eyepiece, you owe it to yourself to consider the Tele Vue Delos.

Review of the 6mm & 10mm Delos from Astronomy Magazine, December 2011
- Contrast was excellent - right up there with some of the best planetary eypeices I've ever used.
- I searched but saw no internal reflections or scattering in either eyepiece.
- The flat field the Delos eyepieces produce really made star fields pop. Open clusters epitomized the old standard "diamonds on velvet". Stars on and off axis showed no sign of astigmatism.
- Tele Vue has constructed an eyepiece that stands with the best deep-sky and planetary eyepieces on the market.

WHAT WE LIKE:
Essentially perfect optics
"Immersive" observation experience
WHAT WE DON'T LIKE:
I spent several nights viewing the Moon, Saturn, stars and nebulae with a variety of telescopes … .
The Delos eyepieces are "easy to look through … . They have flat fields, delivering absolute pinpoint stars from edge to edge with no hint of color aberration. The view, especially during the daytime, is very pure with no noticeable color tint. And there wasn't a hint of ghosts or reflections, even with the brightest stars".
"What caught me a bit off guard, however, was something that's best described as the observing experience. It was distinctly pleasurable."
"I have the sensation of looking out of a circular window rather than into an eyepiece."
— di Cicco, Dennis. "Tele Vue's New Delos Eyepieces". Sky & Telescope (June 2011). p. 58, 59.
$850.00
Tele Vue's Delos 12mm is a medium focal length eyepiece that creates an "immersive viewing experience". With its generous 20mm eye-relief and wide 72° apparent field of view you will be hard pressed to find another eyepiece that is such a pleasure to look through. Amazing wide fields of view in well corrected refractors with short to medium focal lengths (over 1° FOV up to 800mm focal length). While some of the shorter focal length Delos eyepieces may provide too much power in long focal length Cassegrains, the Delos 12mm is suitable for any focal length telescope.

Background
Tele Vue introduced the Delos In 2011. The series includes mid-to-short focal lengths with all providing 20mm eye-relief and 72° apparent field of view. Tele Vue designer Paul Dellechiaie rethought every optical, mechanical, and ergonomic aspect to achieve reference-standard performance for any visual application.
The Delos was conceived as a narrower field Ethos. Eye-relief was increased while still controlling pupil aberrations by reducing the field to 72°. This was achieved without making the eyepiece too large. With Ethos performance standards as benchmarks, the Delos design achieves full field sharpness, virtually perfect f θ (theta) distortion mapping, and colour neutrality. Image fidelity is maximized utilizing glass matched multicoatings and anti-reflection surfaces throughout the eyepiece.

Delos Eyepieces Reviews
Quotes from review of 10mm, 4.5mm, & 14mm Delos on Alpha Lyrae website.
- The stunningly flat field and lack of optical aberrations really allow clusters to shine and galaxies and nebulae are resplendent.
- It is rare I use any other eyepiece for deep sky observing anymore.
- Quite simply, the planetary performance matches the very best dedicated planetary eyepieces I have ever used such as the TMB Super Monocentric.
- There is also an indescribable quality which makes them a very easy and relaxing eyepiece to use.

Excerpt from Delos 17.3mm review in Astronomy Now magazine.
Examining the stars of the Pleiades served up by the 17.3mm Delos, I was immediately struck by the pinpoint star images right to the edge of the field-of-view. Contrast was superb. Nor could I detect any signs of off-axis distortions.
